An MM can hold up to 10% of all shares without declaring it (I believe). Multiple MM's could collectively gather even more.....

Lol - Best Post of the year so far! A takeover on the back of the news that we lost our biggest client and in legal dispute at end of last week - dropped 40% and here we have a shouter saying its a takeover, its going to be a takeover! You cannot write this stuff sometimes (but he/she did - utter classic post and one for the Basement wall lol) - that did make me laugh, thanks for cheering me up buddy!
Absolutely classic accumulation IMO.
Expecting a bid to land between £10-12. They knew they couldn't get it to £30 so easier to take it backwards and make 3 times your money from here IMO
@Deas999
Surly for a hostile bid it would have to be against what the company wants?
It would be very easy for the company to rise the SP with ANY good news but they haven't/won't.
You would see it through holdings rns. Not happening.
What could be ongoing is deliberate suppression of the SP in the form of a hostile bid. You wouldn’t hear about it until the bid came in though.
Any formal takeover approach has t be announced to the market as per market rules, can't just keep in quiet as that is highly illegal.
Can we as shareholders ask if nova are under a TO offer? The answer will either be 'no', or 'we can't disclose that information'.
I thought the UK govt had blocked all take overs from key UK industries, so I think the answer is no and it's just the MMs grabbing what they can(and me, these are bargain prices, tempted to sell some avacta even)
Now Now. Accumulating in £10k BUYS is really not going to get you that bonus is it. Keep on buying as per your instructions...

If a take over approach comes in the next few weeks, alot of questions are going to e asked over disclosure, that's for sure.

Takeover for sure, couple of months back we'd never have accepted an offer of £12 a share, however now that the price has been driven down to £4....when that £12 offer arrives, the deal is a dead cert.
Harchris you stick to your strategy and leave people invested here to stick to theirs regards Wilson.
Naewise : This is one definition from Cambridge dictionary :Riding roller coasters is so exciting!
Yep exciting times ahead our Graham.
You've got to say that the bad news is all out of the way now. We've got certainty on the contract extension or not, the brokers have done their thing. Whats the likely next news events, tender wins, private deals, or if not then no news. We arent waiting on the DHSC with baited breath now. let it settle then we should see the upside return.
I am a rovin' gambler--
I've gambled all around--
And wherever I see a deck of ca-a-ards,
I lay my money down,
Lay my money down,
I lay my money down.
I've gambled down in Washington,
Ga-ambled up in Maine;
I'm headed down to NCYT
To knock down my last game,
Knock down my last game,
To knock down my last game.
Being played like a fiddle
Hold your nerve, something big going down and relatively quickly imo.
All conjecture on our part of course and GM may not be batting an eye. Hopefully the company's true position will become clear with results and its path ahead by end of month. I can see this turbulence lasting until then as a RNS (given current mess) is as likely as a snowflake in hell. Far from ideal for us shareholders but that's the nature of the beast. I am just hoping to break even in a few months time as I am rather stupidly oversubscribed here. GM said exciting times are ahead let's hope he exploits this to the full without the usual self inflicted massive wound. If this happens yet again a TO is surely on the cards.
Hiya Hatchris , is it not also called lowering your average in you are in high and you strongly believe in the fundamentals. I cant criticise you for selling , wish I did at 12 , wasn't greed with me it was a long term hold. However I still believe for the same reasons I bought , infact Mlis has proven time after what superb R and D he has on the company are they are cash rich. It is clear this is a dispute right now and not a court case so If I was in Oirkies position I might well take exactly the same course of action. However without doubt the term gambler could be applied to you , I and most who invest on aim . K
True,, can't argue with you @HarChris.
But at a £280m value when they have half of that in cash and growing per day and sales ex. DHSC of £35m+ in the quarter you have to ask yourself is it worth more than that especially with other similar plays being sold and valued 12 to 20X higher.
Still if SH want to sell at fire sale prices that's there call i guess.
I just cant get my head around why GM is not putting out any positive messages around all the good stuff they are doing to drown out these negative messages. Doesn't add up.
milnrowmug - yes, you are correct. Can get 30% on the cheap
Johnny kipper, I believe there is a rule such as you describe, the point is they can buy a lot cheap BEFORE a formal offer is made.
Doubling down again and again and again is classic gambler's mentality Porky!
Johnnykipper
My understanding is the minimum price rule applies to a party who has previously bought shares only
If the takeover arose from someone who has not bought in the last 12 months they can offer what they wish
this is a great company in the making with a great portfolio of products and plenty of cash, what's not to like!
significantly oversold in my opinion - a unique opportunity to stash shares in your ISA, this sp wont be around for long.
