I agree with you. Even if the offer is below our expectations, it would have a positive impact on the sp, I think. It might even make other conglomerates to put forward higher offers.
ANY good news (without caveats) would do. Even a flow of information re. smaller contracts, as one poster suggested. You have to wonder why it isn't forthcoming. I know some people will either say GM is too busy, or that he doesn't have to.
But, he doesn't have to do it himself. Why can't the PR or a communications personnel do this?
The CEO has a fiduciary duty to ALL shareholders. If we keep asking for more info, when are sp has dived over 65%, in less than 4 month, he has to provide this.
"Buying the dips"?!!! This always makes me laugh, at what point do you stop buying the dips when the dips are everyday? Come on NCYT lets have some good news and don't make us wait until the end of June.
Exactly my thoughts Saintsmith - nothing else makes sense he’s definitely keeping good news under wraps whether it’s for a take over or to let funds buy in cheap to stabilise the price moving forward is anyone’s guess.
Holding long term and buying dips so if I can get more cheap shares along the way so be it.
Please, please, please let's have at least a TO offer soon. This would shake up th SP as it's getting depressing now. My whole portfolio of 9 shares and 6 unit trusts are all well up today with the one exception of one... NCYT.
Management buyout maybe. Would make sense for alot of the behaviour thats been going on.
A very valid point there JDRC .
That is indeed what the company is/has been doing and the share price is far below the here it should be .
The question is why ? I don’t thing GM is incompetent as he is clearly growing this company into the mid cap he has stated he desires it to be .
So is he been made to keep the price low by a potential suitor ?
I know some people don’t like the thoughts of a takeover but I honestly cannot think of any other reason .
Can anybody else ?
Bluelight- it's investing, the more a company promotes what they might achieve in 2, 5 10 years even they'll bring in investment, and can justify huge p/e ratio. Jam is why people invest. If they released a load of products to little fanfare, gave no indication of how well they're selling and to whom other than minimal legal requirements and a vague 50/50, also say they can't/won't predict future revenues, btw we're taking our biggest customer to court and may impact what has already been reported, the SP will die.
Maybe you do not need to know what is being sold where.
Although it is preferred.!. It is the headline revenue figure with everything put in that counts. Worldwide sales in the first quarter were higher than expected and there looks to be enough new products for this to continue.
I think we should start to do misleading RNS', put some jam tomorrow RNS' out like the other covid plays. The market loves to buy the hope of sales, but it seems less than interested in actual sales. It's a funny old market. Maybe something along the lines of NCYT is in active contract negotiations, for a Q2/Q3 delivery (subject to timescale changes) with leading market participants, and will update the market accordingly in due course. That woul add 500-600% to the price for sure, regardless of any actual sales.

"Signed significant contracts with National Governments! And here lies the major problem! None were rns to the market!"
This is what I cant get, why running to the market if he have any bad news but keep good news as top secret?! I am pretty sure they have done lots of business internationally, they even states that in their recent update. why not to get details?!
Wbafc.... totally agree, but they should of been in place a long time ago! But I also think the Indian Gov simply don't care!
Why do people rise to the bait of such an absurd thread opener ??
The entire modus operandi of shorts, or someone who is emotionally short is to try to create uncertainty and fear (mostly unfounded), in order to make people sell and try to lower the price. It's the exact same thing for all shares, you'll see such people as Globetrotter and the countless others popping up today, making one line ubstantiated claims. I find it amusing personally. I've found over the years that the more this occurs, particularly when all at once, this is highly correlated with a share bottoming out. It is the same in reverse when rampers spoute prices are going to the moon etc, a strong trend reversal signal.

“ Globetrotter184: Novacyt does not have infrastructure to sell worldwide. ”
“ 20 January 2020 trading update - Graham Mullis, Group CEO of Novacyt, commented:
“We have signed significant contracts with national governments, supplied our products to over 130 countries globally and continued to develop innovative testing capabilities to support laboratories and clinicians during these challenging times.”

Where do you get that view from Globe? Even a cursory glance at NCYT's sales locations and staffing would show you that comment is ill informed. Or does that fact not fit in with your hoped for share price narrative?
Novacyt does not have infrastructure to sell worldwide. India and Brazil are going for cheaper options. Stop dreaming of worldwide sales.
