@NewFormsResearch
Maybe the Jack Taylor video hinted at will reveal the very points you raise re what is happening in the Cambridge Lighthouse. Pushing the bigger outfits out would be a coup and grab some attention.
....too sheltered a life.
NCYT will have been on the big boys’ M&A radars for months now, there is no doubt about that. Whether we’d be a fit for any of these guys, well that’s a tricky one to predict. The articles are correct - as we stand right now we do look like a business about to be swallowed whole. The company’s communication has been somewhat erratic and the market’s reaction to the business even more so. Pretty textbook symptoms.
So why am I calm about it? Because I can’t really lose. If we are bought out, we should see a sale SP of above ATHs and a quick, easy exit with reasonable profit.
If the signals are false and we are not a TO target, then I revert to fundamentals and research - this company has huge potential as an independent. The profit potential is far higher, but it could come at the cost of losing what little hair I have left - it will not be a smooth journey.
For what it’s worth, I think the odds are now slightly in favour of a TO, but I’m relatively comfortable either way. There are definitely big games being played at present, that’s plainly obvious to anyone who’s not led sheltered a life....
Interested to hear other posters thoughts
I have put first post on Twitter, i will follow up.
If nothing in it then no issue, but if there is something in it they should report it
I did Saint and I respect all of you and all your contributions. I think G.M 's sole focus is growing the company and in his eyes the company has achieved great things , both scientifically and financially. He knows what is in the pipeline and the SP will recover beyond previous highs. I never try to box things without facts but what is being discussed isn't a new concept , I have considered many of these things , just don't think that us what us happening. I am disgusted to hear that amazing researchers like gggg21 have been targeted it is disgraceful. Makes me suspicious of negative comments I have read on here and twitter about Porky. K :)
Saintsmith, yes I read the articles, both them lads do more than a sterling job on here and twitter, what I am looking forward to is a RNS from the Co regarding a T/O.gla
Did you read the article or porkys and gggg21 ‘s summarry tkr ?
That might explain exactly why are share price is where it is now .
Think Mullis is as likely to sell as Marsden - not. But hey if it raises sentiment and the SP then hell yeah I'm frustrated and want to find an answer so that will do. K
Walgreens boots alliance
Who would buy? Guessing most would suspect AZN or GSK? Admittedly AZN just sold their part of Moderna for circa $1 billion and had raised money early last year.
Then GSK are getting set up to split into two separate entities. Could one of the two be in need of a diagnostic division in their future?
Nice to muse. I’ll be sitting on my shares for the foreseeable anyway.
I'm curious to know what the "potential" is? The crazy price Porky gives us or maybe something around £20.00? At £7.00(ish) now double that would be very acceptable to me.
I can’t take any credit for the article guys, I didn’t write it .
I read it though and it literally felt like the article had been written about what is happening to NCYT right now .
So 8 out of ten boxes ticked gggg?
A coincidence ?
I’m starting to think not .
Deas999 check footasylum story....the share price got hammered....then out of blue it jumped over 80% all of a sudden JD sports (the parent company) had took a massive chunk.....they then publicly deny they want the company....month or so later it is sold to them.
Couple of questions regarding this:
1.) surely this is associated with a hostile T/O, if we believe those points to be true, or do you believe it’s being manipulated prior to a formal offer?
2.) wouldn’t we have seen a TR1 by now if someone was causing this price action to accumulate shares?
I pray it’s not some sort of hostile T/O as we will get screwed as PIs with the price. Will be above what it is now but no where near the potential.
Saintsmith @20:21
I like your Article , spot on my friend.
@saintsmith - i just went through it line by line. My short response below to each point summarised.
1. Management stops defending the stock price. – Yes Graham gives zero ****s and is radio silent now
2. Social media posts are overly bearish and calling for the CEO’s removal – Yes Graham is being ****ged off constantly “out of his depth”
3. Wild fluctuations in stock price. – Just yes!
4. Large amounts of phantom premium are on the table – Yes so undervalued and low PE
5. Sneaky option trades. – Yes we saw Million buy last week and the week before and 700k today
6. “Sell this, buy that.” Yes cross ramped to heaven, trolled all time now, myself and other posters are being targeted and have been for a while hence why i can not be bothered much lately
7. Bizarre price action prior to upcoming milestones. – Yes collapsed on results
8. Resignations by high-level management or board members. – No but we have had new members…
9. Your company is unloading assets that won’t fit well into a merged company. – No but we have seen them sack off LAMP basically and move goal posts on lft and two gene test
10. Your stock has become disconnected from reality – UM YES!
Always **** on a Tesco carrier bag
@saintsmith.
10 signs your company may be bought out... I read the article....some signs are def here at NCYT. Good read.
@Saintsmith
Best post of the day to be fair to you - I am fast coming to the opinion that you may of just nailed it. Agree with all the points about shareholder comments and specific posts to discredit.
Normally in acquisition situations the DD can take a few months to complete even when fast tracked. We could be putting two and two to make 22 but some points to further back up your thoughts:-
* Correspondence black Out, now via an agency. I accept the posts about volumes of share holder questions BUT in my own case i had a communication channel open. I raised two VERY specific points directly to GM. They sat with him two weeks and then the agency email arrived.
* In rough figures call it 100m Cash at Bank / 278m to year end. So lets call that 15m a month or more likely 4m a week. We are now in March so there must be at least +30m (Jan and Feb) added to cash yet SP has fallen by 40%. since results. In the last three weeks no positive moves.
* GM NOT doing anything to support the SP. Is that gross incompetence or is it a case that a deal is in line. The "NHS" was missing from the RNS, it lost its impact and the revision came after the market closed at 4.30pm. The forward statement was badly worded yet business is booming - was this deliberate to not to boost the SP?
* We have had the recent appointments
* All the funds II are loading up Increasing positions. Its only retail selling. Some bloody bigs buys being reported as well. Didn't we have a £1m one two nights ago?
I think we need to keep an open mind here, could be nothing, then again if it walks like a duck...
Porks
My mistake harchris I got the two mixed up .
In that article their are 10 strategies that are described as been used on companies in the process of been bought out . I would say at least 7 are been used on NCYT right now .
I found that article extremely insightful and very Spookily apt .

James McCarthy - CFO Flint Group - (May 2018 to March 2020), then returned to self employed as an Independent Consultant.
Unsure why he did not last that long in Flint Group (colour Printers).
Saintsmith I think that might be a different James McCarthy but the new CFO definitely has pedigree...
'Most recently he was CFO of Flint Group - a $2.5bn revenue, private equity-backed business with 7,900 staff and 180 sites across 40 countries.'
Did anyone read the mm piece posted earlier ?
Here is another story telling you if your company is about to be acquired .
Again this article has many similarities with how NCYT is currently trading .
It mentions pharma company’s placing staff with potential companies to be acquired .
We just acquired a CFO from Siemens healthiness if I’m not wrong ???

WABFC. I do not recall seeing you on this board.Just wondering when you last posted on here and did you put the same negative remarks as to the £4- £5 share price without any justification or evidence as to this. Are yo also a shorter?.Please leave us believers alone and go and pick on someone else.WE ARE NOT FALLING FOR IT!!!
