Me too, hope and expect, no reason why it should as not relevant.
In sxx the true LTHs fared better than medium-termers, who subscribed to further capex. The whole thing was scummy, close to criminal imo. My losses were really light. I could be smug and say I was careful, well, you know. Everyone can be tempted to go too deep.
I am aware of that - milnr, however, I sincerely hope that we don't arrive at a similar end as LTHs of this.
Bobminor, this is not comparable to sxx, where I lost a bit. They were deliberately starved of essential capex funds. We are not there.
I do think the Covid stocks are probably moving into a "shake out" phase.
We have had the growth phase. Most stocks have done very well. Some have done very well based on sentiment rather than revenue/profit.
The cream will rise to the top. Those making no money will inevitably crash and burn. Those making money will thrive.
Be nice for the directors to buy some more shares, that would give confidence and of course they could average down as well! I'm still very confident that the sp will rise in due time
The Shorters know how sentiment driven this share is, easy money today I should think. But as I said in another post, the low price cant be justified much longer, II's will start to buy, value investors will be here cooing over the PE, Motley fool will be saying its time to buy Novacyte... Lol.
Shorters days numbered. Cant really go much lower (without new news). Actually not in a bad place right now. Now is the time to buy IMO.
This must be the most fantastic results posted by an aim company in a long time. Huge sales and cash growth with a pipe line that looks set for a year or.two. This is actual cash profit not smoke and mirrors. Fail to understand this at all, they need a main market listing aim is just gambling.
What's a joke are some of the unnecessary predictions that people continually make on this board.
I still have no idea why some find it necessary if only to influence others or to satisfy ones ego, if correct.
Only yesterday, some were predicting that it would be the last chance to buy this share under £4.
IMO, the disappointment or anger as a result of some investors expectations is evident for all to see and doesn't help sentiment here moving forwards.
Please all - keep asking the question to the company - "why hasn't there been an RNS to say that they believe that there is no reason for the sp to behave in such a manner - either that prepare to be sorely bu** ered by the shenanigans that are to follow - how else do we air our displeasure - no good moaning here - does no good - badger the company for an explanation - I sure do.
@bobminor,
Politicians can only get away with it if people keep voting for them and putting them in positions of power when they've been proven to be dishonest and have very little integrity.
We are now back in the same position of suspicion and cynicism that we were in before this mornings' RNS which I thought would turn the table but with so much backstage shenanigans it is hard to tell where we will be in the near future - up to the bod to protect the interests of the shareholder as they are supposed to do (comms).
No krazykat they would have to pay the highest price they'd paid in the last 12 months otherwise everyone looking to make an acquisition would try that on. There are rules in place to prevent that
just as they did for Sirius Minerals SXX 'butchers' thieving baste**s - didn't think that it could be done so often and they get away with it (investigation by www.sharesoc.org ongoing - I have been tweeting them for weeks and weeks about this sp behaviour too) - so market/bod think that they can get away with it like the politicians and other wet flannel handshakers.
Yes but then they need to get their hands on all th shares staring from nothing. The only way they can do that is to offer an extremely attractive price.
Gutted today, probably not down as much as some with an average of 384,from now on I am also keeping away from AIM listings
Sorry that isn't correct. You forget the company is primarily listed in France, and also AIM rules differ from main market rules.
So if a company owned 10% and wanted to takeover, it would be cheaper for them to sell all their shares (assuming they held shares bought at a higher price than the current sp), and then attempt a takeover at a lower price now that they owned 0%...
And from me as well Nova. I was not aware of the 10% and 30% element either.
However, I don't think we have any shareholders anywhere near those thresholds anyway.
Thanks for clarification Nova.
Apologies to Butchers Bike.
For those that don't know - https://www.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk/the-code/download-code
In a nutshell -
Holding 0% = Offer whatever you want.
Holding 10% = Must offer highest price bidder has paid in 12 months.
Holding 30% = Must offer 12 month high.
Totally agree Trotters. It's a complete old wives tale and not the case at all. A company can be sold for whatever amount the shareholders are prepared to vote for.
because Ventura1 it is absolutely not the case that it has to be the highest sp in the year period, that is a complete misnomer and every time someone sensible brings up that fact it gets brushed over/ ignored.
1.butchers.Bike. It has been said many many times on this BB that any bid for the company would have to be at least the highest sp in the year period.
So tell me how can it be being set up for a take over ??
A line in the results saying they have an aspiration to list on NASDAQ May have see us keep our gains today.
GM must be as disappointed as all Long holders here at the market reaction and must realise we are being played. It takes the shine of all the good things going on at Nova.
I'm sure he will have a plan.
Its a predictable snake charm, high on opening, sheltered for a while then a mass drop off. Happened yesterday and same again today. 20% on Friday was the pre emptive noise then today and yesterday the sell on the news.
Bear in mind that around 4-6 weeks ago 400p was 'cheap' for this, its heading for a grave at 325-330.
Shambles.
All id say is after a few goofy RNS's from Jan and the famous April DHSC one, once all the 'guff' and 'noise' has died over the DHSC that this will stabilise and imo start to go into the 500/550 category fairly quickly.
Covid testing will open the travel gateways and as you can see with our current third wave the testing is needed to bin isolating.
Its a ****ty stock for nerves but imo best if you switch off for a long term view whilst shorters heaven plays out, which has been utterly done to death here.
