Yes, as the 2 genes covid test is already part of the winterplex it will soon be reimbursable on its own.
Currently, we only have the 1 gene covid test listed on the French govt website. It is just a matter of time.
And I agree with you all that the most important will be the Winterplex.
Great news !
Ggg I know, great news. We need Shaunp to open the spreadsheet again.
Lolo thanks for that, I like how they state benchmark diagnostic test.
Deas and think of the margin on that (as we found out the other day from the rns) I don’t know such a profitable company with such rapid growth. Have to starting crunching the numbers again for new high share price valuation
To be honest the only one that really counted was winterplex as its 4 x the price of a normal primer COVID test. We all know sentiment moves sim
Shares more than anything else (especially this one as news normally makes it go down). The french Facebook is buzzing with champagne emojis, hopefully we can go up as much as we went down when we found out it wasn’t reimbursable.
Yes and the Winterplex can be used for oropharyngeal sampling
French gove just allowed it today (got the article translated for you):
"The nasopharyngeal swab is now the benchmark for performing virological testing by RT-PCR. However, it is unpleasant and some patients may refuse it or may not be able to do so. Saliva samples are an alternative, but only for symptomatic patients. Today, the HAS is issuing a second opinion and validating the use of oropharyngeal sampling for RT-PCR tests of asymptomatic people in whom nasopharyngeal sampling is contraindicated."
"The nasopharyngeal swab RT-PCR virological test has the advantage of being effective in finding COVID in symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. It remains to this day the benchmark diagnostic test. However, it poses a problem in a number of populations, in whom its implementation is difficult or contraindicated: young children, very old patients, patients with psychiatric disorders, people with a nasal deviation, etc.
For these populations, the HAS has already validated in its opinion of September 18, 2020, the use of saliva sampling, but only in people who present symptoms.
Scientific data shows that they are not effective in asymptomatic people."
"For the latter, an alternative exists, the performance of which is acceptable: oropharyngeal sampling - carried out via a swab introduced at the back of the throat orally. This alternative may represent a more acceptable collection method in certain cases; however, the risk associated with the possible triggering of the gag reflex must be taken into consideration by the professional who will take the sample.
This is why the Haute Autorité de santé gives a favorable opinion on the use and reimbursement of RT-PCR tests on oropharyngeal samples in the indications for screening or detection of contact cases for asymptomatic patients for whom the nasopharyngeal sample is found. impossible or difficult.
The conditions for performing these oropharyngeal samples comply with those defined by the recommendations of the French Society of Microbiology."

lolo, winterplex is reimbursable at €45 per test, pretty sure the other 2 gene is as well.
Dam shouldn't have looked.
Lolo yes but they would already be established with others so that's a slow burner, however winterplex well.
Usai. That made me laugh subtle approach yeh.
Sorry Not reimbursable .... got too excited !! But distributed by the 3 mentioned
Hold on.... Our RT-PCR Covid-19 test is now reimbursed in France as well

and it is also distributed not only by ATHOTIS (which we knew about it) but also by SERVIBIO and R-BIOPHARM.

P.S.: Sorry for the caps A4UK ;-)
Reminds me of the song by Mama,s and Papa,s, " Monday Monday so good to me".
Anders_uk; I would imagine they will have to release an RNS, as I am guessing there will be a bit of activity on Monday. :-)
Good post Kilkennyted, your title brings memorys of cruising in Greece ( Glyfada to Corfu) via Corinth Canal,In Glyfada near Athens we found an Irish bar called Molly Malones, draught Guinness and they had Killkenny bitter on draught, and menu was as Irish as could be,most staff was Irish, big Queue at weekend for tables, loved the place.
Deas999 if bladesharp and gggg are saying that I'll get my coat.
I'm not going to spoil the day by commenting on a recent post, another tremendous day finished off with phenomenal news from across the channel.
Eeck, might need to get my abacus out.
Apologies euros.
Wilson GGG is quoting £45.
Might be seeing that as an SP? (Can hope).
Fantastic over winterplex I've just got a niggle in the back of my mind that I saw 25 quid for it but I can't find the link, I was probably hallucinating.
Great news, looking forward to the opening on Monday already without any RNS. Wonder how any shorters are feeling? Haha.
I’ve been chatting to some of the french guys on the Facebook group (I’m in isolation so have no life this weekend). They are expecting the share price to explode in France on Monday.
It is huge news. Remember the impact when it was announced the French wouldn't reimburse because it was a single gene test & the slow slide to the £2 range. On the positive side it gave peeps who bought at the peak the chance to average down . Hopefully everyone's head is above water now and should be well rewarded in the coming weeks. Cheers all.
One of the best pieces of news we could ask for. I expected them to reimburse the new standard 2 gene test but them approving the Winterplex test for reimbursement is on another level. The winterplex test is 4x as expensive as the standard test! f you had the choice of testing for just Covid19 or Covid19 + RSV +Influenza A&B and get the money reimbursed either way its a no brainer!!
Great news, I'm sure that means an RNS will land Monday with orders soon after.
