Deas - That is an extremely good point pal!!
intresting
Prop, Astra will also have an idea how well the vaccine is going to work. If it’s not going to be a game changer against COVID they will know test will stay for many years to come.
Nova been hitting the blue pills...
I'd be extremely surprised if Astra Zeneca take us out, not really their bag. That being said a perfect opportunity for them to pretty much dominate the diagnostic market and maintain incredible production power.
If not AZ I think we will certainly be on the radar of a few - Roche is my bet!!
Could also say lets hope the SP rises up to the occasion, and keeps up?
Rain loud, I had to double read it and check the forum, thought I jumped to FUM’s BB by mistake, haha. GLA.
Thanks blade, top stuff! Excuse the inflammatory thread title, just enjoy the banter and also was surprised with the sudden break out today.
In case you are wondering the differences between the two kits are:
• The HT kit will support 1536 PCR reactions using 4 x 384 well format for qPCR. (standard kit is 96 well plate format)
• The HT kit is supplied with a different master mix that is already resuspended for use,
Precision®PLUS OneStep qPCR master mix.
• The Primer&Probe mix, Internal Extraction Control and the master mix will be provided ready to
use, so these components do not require resuspending in buffers prior to use.
All fully optimised to make the most of the automated robotics they have
Thanks @blade - very helpful. Crikey - so a huge tender award Could be granted to Astra and behind the scenes Novacyt rake it in through supplies of kits??
Ok, Maybe I have hard-on now, ive just seen your other post on twitter blade: https://t.co/QxO93FLiiu?amp=1

Top stuff blade.
Its all to do with the new Z-Path-COVID-19 HT-CE test which came out of no where and PrimerDesign suddenly brought to market. It's been speculated for a while who the HT test was for but this article finally confirms it. Primerdesign have designed and manufactured it to the exact requirements of AstraZeneca for the most optimized high throughput. Gov will of been involved too. Just wait for the tender award! PrimerDesign would not of designed and started manufacturing a new variation of the test for no reason. AstraZeneca will be prepared for the high throughput this winter.
you wanna be careful how your sat... lollolol
Alan , haha !
Think it's just the way I'm sitting.
Raincloud, it's all speculation, again.
Rain cloud it’s all rumours any of the testing / therapeutic company’s could on their radar !
The Cambridge article was published on 23 July and there were articles indicating a tie up between Cambridge Uni, GSK, AstraZeneca and NCYT as early as April. We all know NCYT have their fingers all over the Covid pie and we are patiently awaiting an RNS, yet what caused the sudden jump this afternoon? Where has all the takeover talk come from? Sources please?
