As is, all these so worried PI's, so worried, that they shout it from the rooftops, despite saying they are invested! I think not! imo
there is no such thing as bad news to a company.....look how Innova thrived.
We should be thanking Private Eyes 2 subscribers for their journalistic integrity lol
Mud sticks, I hope wba is not anywhere near the medicine cabinet.
It’s days before the results and all of a sudden private eye publish an article? Do me a favour. It’s all planned or my goodness, isn’t it a coincidence.
Nick smith this is what I’m petrified about - it coming out that we’re actually unbelievably amateur, corrupt and have made huge mistakes along the way. Not a surprise given the quick ‘growth’ but could be devastating for us. God I hope it isn’t the case but it’s ****ing worrying.
As you say, it’s all well and good ****ging off PE but the market hates anything negative and today has made up its mind on this article.
Lewis i feel like you and a few others miss the point.
The article has caused damaged - see the share price today.
Valju - whether it is red and blue on LSE is irrelevant. It's boring just to read you write a whole threat on it.
The share price is suppressed and has been - is this because of the whistleblower allegations? Cast your mind back to when we were at £12/11/10 - the share price wasn't reaching the heights of £15.00 that everyone thought it would and in fact went down, just a month before everyone thought a new governemnt contract would be announced. It was causing confusion amongst PIs on here. A few weeks later we find out about the cancellation of the Phase 2 government contract.
Unfortunately, it feels very similar here - share price being suppressed, but for what reason? Is it that there is an impending MHRA enquiry about to be launched, which would be hugely damaging to the NCYT reputation? Is it because results arent as good as the market expects?
You can scream and cry about Private Eye all you want and how it isnt a proper magazine. You can scream and cry about the government. The fact is, Novacyt don't seem to be as squeaky clean as everyone once believed. It's hurting them and i think it will be a long road to recovery.... that's if they've put a non-covid plan in place yet!
If you are bored, why not spend your free time by giving private eye a justifiable 1 star (the lowest you can give)

Nice of tin hat to create an account specially
Editor Ian hislop salt of the earth.
As editor of Private Eye, Ian Hislop is reputedly the most sued man in English legal history,[13][14] although he is not involved in as many libel actions as he once was.[
Thanks PI100, will give it a read.
HarChris - it’s about PD Novacyt specifically and ends with a dig at Mullis. It doesn’t make great reading at all. Regardless of how true it is or not, it’s another stain. Now 7% red. Depressing.

Same here, very helpful Kaeren - thanks!
Thank you from me as well!
Thanks Kaeren, much appreciated. Think I will log off for the day as well
Missing word lag preceded by S.
Direct hatchet job aimed specifically at NCYT.
Regurgitates contract Sept 20 issue.
Claims last summer when issue with 1 gene test instead of recalling batches customers told to alter when they record positive result. Total fabrication as all customers were offered a replacement for the faulty component or the choice of returning entire kit. I monitor constantly the site for recalls and Novacyts record is exemplary compared to many of the big boys.

It goes on to **** Ajan and then says Novact forced /pressurised the NHS to sign off 3 gene fast. NHS says its testing is thorough.
Says inf from insiders.
As Novacyt assays are used globally to benchmark other tests by academia I personally think it rhymes with rollocks and as I have posted above the facts don't match the written word.
Logging off for day as my crystal ball informs me there will jacksy on the way of new research I might be interested in reading posted today.
Never mind the follow on deal they got last year

If there really was any skulduggery going off within the ncyt and DHSC deal do you really think they would have gone to town on each other with the potential for a court hearing. They'd want to keep it low profile surely. Sort it out backstage and move on.
If there were any direct truth and legal ramifications, it would HAVE to be rns'd?
Now as we havent had any, well says it all really?
I haven’t read it, but on Twitter they have this “ A £32m payday for the boss and an £84m profit on PPE and medical supplies - and all channeled to the Department of Health through a related company so that one could take a cut too? The brand new Private Eye continues to catalogue the pandemic Profits of Doom - in shops now!” looks like it’s aimed more that the PPE profit scandal
is the article specifically about novacyt or more broadly about uk based PCR testing companies?
Results out in one of next 6 trading days & we know they will have met or exceeded revenue so clearly an attempt to make a quick buck before they start re shorting it again - easy money for traders here on this down trend
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it out of hand.. I remember the independent article about the stalling of the contract.. it wasn't particularly well written and caused outrage on here but it turned out to be largely right in the end!
The same private eye that pushed the narrative that vaccines cause autism?
100% legit source lol
I only know 1 person who buys it and he is full of sh*t.
