Cheers mate. :-)
No Hamsters involved I hope, it's been a tough day for H18
one or two billion is chicken feed to AZ its current Market cap is 112.5 b
who knows, we can all dream a little. GM did say some time ago he had had several approaches. We are equally working with GSK with a 73b m cap.

With your thought process Bramley, big smiley face. Good weekend all. . Get some sleep Wilson and Dylans daddy. K
I agree with all the above. Many companies get taken over and just stay with the current organisation as it works they just no longer own it and get incredible salaries. If im right it wouldn't surprise me that GM was told several weeks ago to start employing additional and extra staff to fulfil the roles that will be needed for when the takeover goes through. Just adds more fuel to the fire all the additional roles all of a sudden.
Primer design reply about numbers. Nicely done all.
Not sure, Mandy’s drowning in emails so you guys have done your job, and done it well. We’ll need to do final count but probably won’t know till Monday. Fingers crossed
Well I'm genuinely exhausted once up and dow the stairs and this so it obviously takes it out of you, that said I need to know when mandys finished the count so will check in later. Probably 20 mins lol Gla
Bramley, I’ve always thought this since someone told the story of AZ doing it in 2015, plus the breadcrumb trail as you say. It just seems too good to be true.
We don’t know the sales since Jul (assume they have increased), vaccine was having troubles, the longevity of testing has increased and the products NCYT has through primer design and microgen have improved. All these together suggest £2bil min to me.
I thing we should be valued at £500mil minimum atm, any TO offer is normally 4 times the MCAP and it has to be good enough for GM to accept.
Further to this the comms silence indicates something is going on behind the scenes.
Bramley , I would love that to be true .
There are certainly coincidences and familiar strategies that AZK have used in the past on previous acquisitions.
The way GM talks though and all the extra staff he is setting on and his business plan after Covid makes me wonder if he would allow a takeover ???
I would love to be wrong as it would make my life a lot easier as it would take any dilemas I have regarding selling out of my hands .
I like your billion pound , £15 a share assumption though ;)
I agreed with your valuation but there is no takeover by AZ. Novacyt is not a speculative buy but is still very undervalued with strong fundamentals. Again there is no takeover or buy out by AZ. Imo
So last time AZ bought someone two things happened. firstly they borrowed the money and secondly they got voleon to short the company
AZ borrowed 3billion recently and if hasn't become clear what they did with that really and Voleon have shorted the stock increasingly as the pandemic has gained hold and the sp has increased which seems to go against the grain.
So with those two dots joined together with Nova clearing all its debts, directors all buying in etc etc GM has said several times he see Nova as a midcap player its seems the planets are aligning. IMHO I used to say 1 billion pound m cap sp £15 im wondering now with all the new tests and the antibody tests or tests due to be released is it higher is it closer to 2 billion?
who knows?

AZ takeover, what price do you think they will offer?
Crabtree, we can all hope, interesting that microgen and primer are pushing hard on behalf. Surely they would have to tell us that’s a resolution....? Or can they bring last minute resolutions in on the day?
Wilson, agreed, she’s definitely earning her money today.
They've had AGMs before and made acquisitions but never gone public about making sure they have votes needed at AGM.
So only one other reason IMO - specific powers needed to accept a takeover offer - AZN are circling!
