Taverham,
re "Anyone know if the pcr test being promoted by Collinson for arrivals at Heathrow is ours"

COVID-19 Coronavirus Update, 1 Apr 2020
"This PCR test is the one that was rapidly developed to detect COVID-19 and has been central to the identification of coronavirus patients across the world."
IMO it is likely that the test is the Primerdesign q-PCR test, but since this article was published, Primerdesign has introduced Exsig direct, thus reduceing waiting time for results.
I don't believe this article has been published on the bb recently.
He said pricing not finalised between 100 and 170 pounds.
Not confirmed but their blurb does talk about the using the gold standard PCR test ...

I heard that too, pretty sure they said £170 per test though?

Anyone know if the pcr test being promoted by Collinson for arrivals at Heathrow is ours? Heard about it at 620 r4 this morning .
Just thought this was interesting another first - one of many, don't forget Zika and I think there might have been another first as well. The first case of swine flu was in April 2009 and Primerdesign had a test ready the next month in May wow!
Any sign of the next pandemic get shares in Novacyt as they will be the first out with the test!
I wonder how many savvy investors were aware of the company's history of coming out with first products and based on their research bought at 10p after hearing about the spread in China? There must have been a few?
"On May 9, PrimerDesign (Southampton, England) announced that it had “won the race to produce the first DNA test kit for the Mexican swine flu.” PrimerDesign’s test works on all real-time PCR machines (including those by Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad, Roche, and Qiagen), and produces results in two hoursówhereas current tests take two days. Such speed could be critical for containing outbreaks, the company notes."

Not the first time we have been mentioned with the big players or let's say the giants in the industry!
"The report deeply explores the recent significant developments by the leading vendors and innovation profiles in the Global Veterinary Molecular Diagnostic Market including are IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., Novacyt Group, QIAGEN N.V., Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc., VCA, Inc., Abaxis, Inc., Biomedica Medizinprodukte GmbH, Bioneer, HealthGene Corporation, and Neogen Corporation."

I don't recommend anyone to pay for report no need for it.
From the company pdf (a world leader):
"IVD Manufacturing and development services
Primerdesign is a world leader and an internationally recognised company for molecular diagnostic, PCR assay
development and the production of high quality MDx tests."
Novacyt as an OEM? (Some people probably didn't know this)

We manufacture products for a large number of MDx companies. Each customer’s specific requirements are
addressed. So whether you are an established multi-national diagnostic company or an ambitious start-up

The potential for growth in this company has always been there I now feel it has hugely improved prospects for achieving its ambitions.
Agree but the fact it includes Ncyt is very interesting and this predicts the market until 2026 which is a good testament to the future here.
Exactly
Indeed, saw this yesterday, £2,807.73 to buy the report.... Not sure it would be worth it...
The really exciting thing about this report is....
