@deas, thanks for the link, I'll look at this properly tomorrow now I've asked the question, I'm actually interested to test the veracity of BYP's statement. Statistics can be used and manipulated to suit anyone's agenda.
I prefer to do my own research rather than listen to what's posted on here.
From my personal knowledge, positivity rate from the coal face is going thru the roof, lots of ppl now seriously ill with Covid are unvaccinated youngsters.
Testing times ahead
Btw the way Kitzie what high do you need the SP to be to average out from the last 12 months? £3 do you?
Poidster, you can see all the stats here:
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
Not ideal viewing on an iPhone though, provides and interesting perspective.
@kitzie. I need the sp to get to £10.00….. one of the lows the last week 12 months
@deas thanks for the info, I honestly didn't know when I asked the question.
I wonder how those figures correlate against testing numbers. Also, the number of hospitalisation is relevant, the vaccine has reduced mortality but still causing lots of morbidity which puts a big strain on the NHS.
Order will come when Raab changes legislation to place government above the judiciary. BJ declares himself lifetime ruler. But for now he is keeping a close eye on the Covid statistics but not unduly concerned as long as people are sensible - whatever that means. We thought Bolsonaro was a muppet!!
everything is going up in price including fuel... even a Snickers bar is half the size same cost...a Budweiser now 300ml from 330ml.... the SP will be sustainable once the institutions come on board... they just need to know NCYTs not just a one trick pony... and they already proving diversification already and investing in the high potential USA... just out of interest BYP... how low do you need to get the SP to?
It’s temporary Kitzie. They sell more fuel when the price is lower. People start budget and reducing consumption when it’s higher. There’s a spike and then it settles down. A bit like an unsustainable RNS. It spikes and then soon goes down to an affordable price.
the price per litre had gone up
Kitzie…..they sell more fuel and get more tax when the price per litre is lower. Another ridiculous comment by you.
I first thought the fuel crisis was an idiot accidental leak by the gov.... causing panic and chaos.... also get Brexit done with no plan whatsoever and rising cost and shortages.... and now an unleashed freedom UK with no governance or strategy.... now I don't think the above was an accident at all... how else can you increase the cost of fuel and also go for herd immunity at the same time.... it's all part of the plan me thinks
(UK) is 12th in the world for deaths in the last 7 days.
And hopefully…..they are going to be giving DA a call soon, ‘Good morning Mr. almond, welcome to the UK, and your new position. Although you have not really had the chance to hang your coat up, we appear to be in a bit of a pickle, and are rather hoping you can help us out old bean? Let bygones be bygones so to speak what’s what…’
@BYP, the more salient numbers are the numbers of hospitalisation and mortality, if ours are comparable to the rest of the world then your assertion has merit, how is the UK faring on those stats cf the rest of the world, genuine question?
The UK do a lot more testing than anywhere else in the world. We are the third highest country in the world by number of tests, yet we are 21st in the world by population. The UK have done three times more testing than the next highest European country (france) in terms of testing (no one counts Russia as being European). So of course we will capture more cases. Shame it’s not Novacyt doing that testing though.
The mental thing is the government have allowed themselves to be pressured by the travel industry (stop putting extra costs onto travellers), yet Heathrow have today raised their fees by 50 odd percent. Comical.
@jcb gov have capitulated to the travel industry.
We are clearly not following the science anymore.
The rest of the world must be looking at the UK as a basket case, banana (bent of course) Republic.
We have flung our doors wide open, we will be on other countries red list soon.
I can see civil unrest at some point, we have a bitterly divided nation, we will see skyrocketing inflation and interest rates next year, more shortages, rising prices, house repossession and covid. NHS on its knees
Tax rises. UK is being pushed to the limit. Can't help but think this is all part of the plan. Out of chaos comes order
We should be testing every one who enters the UK as well and not with a LFT.Crazy decision considering what could happen
Highest number of deaths recorded since March 9th. Cases are rising in all age groups after spilling over from school children and no mitigation in place. How long before other countries start restricting entry to UK citizens or at least imposing sticter testing requirements on us? Yet again.
World beating.
UK Cases top 40,000+ yet again i.e. 43,738 cases an increase of 16.1% on previous 7 days.
Its suggested by some that we may be heading for another wave that could be as serious as the last.
223 Deaths recorded today - condolences to friends and loved ones of those that have sadly lost their lives.
The U.K. has the highest daily cases in the World !
In addition, the offshoot of the Delta variant i.e. AY.4.2 is on the rise in England :

Conclusion - " We have uncontrolled transmission in the U.K. "
