MrH
We do have a sound engineer. Rikki.
Trouble is - only of his own voice.
Haha quite. I hope there are no sound engineers in here
not has silly as a sound engineer in charge of Napster
No I don’t HG. But I very much doubt he will remove the search functionality that already exists. That would be very silly now wouldn’t it
I wasn't talking about the Napster app just the MVR. Don't forget AM is the one in charge you don't know what changes he's getting done in the Napster app.
HG - have you not even looked at the current Napster app? This has built-in search functionality and will be the baseline for improvement, not the **** Melody app. I expect the new app to have a lot more features and functionality, but we will all have to wait and see how good (or not) it is.
HR. Mel just detracts from what's real posting the same old information, and yet were are where we are. How does he know what the app will do. Things are not okay, the company is run by a sound engineer who see £ signs and does not care about shareholders only himself.
Mel quotes (from RNS) "What the ‘Killer App’ will interface to will be revealed a multi-faceted platform producing not only music entertainment but the ‘data’ for our partners will be extremely powerful." Coming soon I suppose. Doesn't matter what it does, if its not usable or functional for all end-users then it's a waste of time. To me the app should provide only deliverables, music, 360, VR, videos. It should not be a tool for artists to add content etc. This should be done via a online portal. It needs to be simple to use so even Mel could us it.
To answer your question. The last time I looked at the MVR app you had to navigate by clicking on pictures and had limited or no search functionality. If this is what the killer app will be like then god help us.
Hi HR,
You will not get an answer to your question from HorseGob, this poster fails to understand the due diligence Singtel would have carried out when they placed their reputation on MelodyVR, one thing MelodyVR have done is proven they have the skills to produce an APP that works, there testing methodology is fine, there ability to work with and integrate with a long line of partners demonstrates they do listen to and work with Stakeholders, 2020 would have demonstrated the Live Nations concerts, O2 concerts and many more, however COVID-19 put pay to those concerts. Napster also has a list of premier brands it already work with ‘successfully’ including Sonos, Sony, BMW and Audi, therefore they are a trusted partner.
What the ‘Killer App’ will interface to will be revealed a multi-faceted platform producing not only music entertainment but the ‘data’ for our partners will be extremely powerful.
But, it takes ‘time and funding’ of which Napster have a strategy!! IMO GLA
Hi HorseGob
You are saying that the MVR app is lacking functionality. What functionality would you like to see?
The so called Killer App could actually be a killer app, one that kills this business. It is critical to any software development to Involvement of all stakeholders at all stages otherwise its doomed to fail, I don't think they have done this, I think they are implementing things they think end-users what. The MVR app front-end is totally rubbishing, looks good but its totally lacking in functionality. So when the App is released in Sep 2021 (more likely Mar 2022) if they have just bolted together 2 apps they its doomed from the start.
Another issue I have is raising additional cash. Not sure they needed to do this Napster get about $8 million per month. App or no App US employees get paid (salaries). My understanding MVR had about 12 to 18 months money. So why have they raised more money and diluted shares. To say its to fun the app is a joke
All IMO
