That's right T - we have seen smaller increases a day or two before an RNS e.g. when Merck provided notice of termination. We have also seen large increases on news, such as the Samsung lawsuit you refer to, but I do not recollect a rise of >20% without news, so tomorrow provides expectation of an RNS.
Wonder if a Deutsche Bank Analyst has slipped up again?
Hi ddbuya,
There was a substantial increase prior to and after the RNS Feb 17th announcing commencement of the patent infringement lawsuit but better not mention what happened afterwards - sure we have a solid case and feeling far more positive here now and generally I have very low expectations.
Hi Nige. We shall be guessing until the RNS drops. We have seen the SP go up prior to an RNS before but not this much so it does feel like something good this way comes. An out of hours RNS is not likely now but if a far east partner were involved that is still a possibility. We have all done pretty well today and really looking forward to the 'reveal' tomorrow ! SL's £1big would be especially welcome.
Hi ddubya
I think almost all announcements will be made in the morning except perhaps a joint announcement with another company (Samsung?)
Could be the big one tomorrow, Settlement or Buy out?
BoL
I see the closing price was pushed down to 18.55 in a price monitoring extension. Hmm... let's see what tomorrow morning brings.
Certainly feels a little different this time and I cannot recollect an increase of this order without hard news.
When the action starts at lunchtime (as it did today) it is usually a very good thing and it also pushed up further as we drew close to the bell.
Fingers crossed for us all. I am expecting a good news RNS tomorrow, or possibly even one out of hours?
Bot Bot come on, you didn't know any thing. I was the one that gave reasons for a Merck RNS tomorrow, you have been saying (in error) there will be an RNS on lot's of days. WhereasI I predictedit a couple of weeks ago. BUT we don't even know yet if the (probable) RNS tomorrow will appear for sure and even if it does, whether it is about Merck or something completely different. It6 might even be about the court case. We are (as usual) in the dark. Hopefully tomorrow will bring greater clarity. Good luck to all long term holders here. Here'shoping the news is really significant and there is a much greater SP rise to come in the next few days and weeeks.
So nobody has said... botbot how did you k ow.... and nobody has said about why the spread is still so huge... wait for tomorrow...!!! Good luck all. You need to get in NOW if you want in...
Only made £75,000 so far today... life is hard...
£1 big or another kick in teeth
Yes Basscadet, I agree something is (probably) afoot. But what? And how big is it? Is it now priced in? 20-30p big? 50p big? Or perhaps over £1 big? Hopefully we will know after market closes today or in the morning.
The spread is high in the market generally for Nanoco at the moment. It often happens after a big SP rise. If the SP steadies the spread will gradually reduce.
Over 14% spread on HL.
Something's afoot.
I really hope this rise is due to a leak of something substantial, else it could be a case of "what goes up can come down again!" BotBot I see on HL you can sell for 18p so with your 2,000,000 shares you are sitting very pretty. Well done.
Hi Troubles
Sp now 18 on LSX so don't look like I'm going to get my trade shares.
Someone must know something. Hopefully a long way to go.

I'm (only just) back in the green on NANO! my guess is the Merck contract will be/has been renewed and is favourable
This is an unexpected lunchtime lift. More NANO surprises. Not sure what gives rise to it but let us hope this Heralds the start of better times.
Just guessing but possibilities include that :
1.Judge Gilstrap has warned the Samsung legal team that Samsung’s bad behaviour has not gone unnoticed, so waste his time at their peril.
2. Merck or STM has news of more orders.
3. The Apple contract is back on.
4. All of the above (yes please).
Everybody is probably guilty of something.
Samsung are guilty as hell !!!
Or ME on his yacht!
Is that a leaky ship on the horizon!
Hi Nige, I just bought £1k's worth as a bit of a punt as a lot seems to be riding on this court case.. fingers crossed and all that! Lest face it with Samsung's current track record they are probably guilty as hell...
Nice rise maybe we'll get back to the late 20's like we did a few months ago

16p is a distant memory...
Nice rise today
So RNS tomorrow then hey.! Looks like I was out by two days. Should have guessed it would be Friday though.
