Opti,
They are not given it away. Demo events are designed for potential buyer. This is what I think MVR is doing. The event is free for few days and then it becomes part of the library. MrH already pointed out that It’s unlikely that at this stage MVR is looking for income as they eager to demonstrate the VR tech and let someone else make a commercial use of it.
Add to that the hint we got from Mel about seismic move in Aug and recent FB move dated 1st of Aug it may be the case we have good reasons, two separate, to believe that take over bid is coming sooner than what folks expect. That will be a real twist as LN was and still is my biggest hope to push SP into double digit. We shared your company for sometime and I think we need to hold to end of month before saying goodbye.
The business model is simple just give the stuff away nobody will pay to watch it.I am not fully sure that Mvr are acquainted with the basic rules of business.Try to sell your product rather than give it away.Circa ÂŁ1000000 down the pan every month and these fools are giving it away.Has the world gone mad?
Albert
great thought provoking post .
i think none of us know what Melody business model will be ( for me not the glasses now but maybe the future ??) its how this will evolve , and Melody are right in the mix of it all !! and the tech can only get better and we are years ahead .
I kind of agree Iofas, deciding to go head to head with You Tube wasn't what I'd have expected FB to do.
It's a sideways move and doesn't really seem that innovative. I can't see how it threatens Melody in any way. IMO.
Their mission is to discover new artists, so courting A-listers {which Melody need to do} doesn't seem their priority. And there doesn't seem any mention of live gigs.
It may be that the idea of music in VR on their headsets no longer holds the same appeal. Understandable with the shift towards the smartphone app.
The take out is always going to be debated on this BB. I had thought FB were favourites, but maybe not so now. It will almost certainly happen, sooner or later, because that's how business works, as the four tech bosses told their questioning committee recently. It's not as if they can't afford to buy pretty much what they want.
All IMO
agreed lord font.i suspect lady leshurr is of that opinion (oil of ulay).all building nicely imo.
Italian
i dont get hung up on the figures usually, but i spent a bit of time looking at these figures and over a space of a couple of years the views are huge , eye watering , i do believe that Melodies library will be an incredible cash machine going forward .
Lady Leshurr is a top artist imo , and if she goes a bit more mainstream ( they all do or expire ) will be a big star one day :)
LF,
Yes one positive event via TicketMaster is all we need to call in 250,000 paying viewers. Add advertising , merchandise and special packaged promos this could build a healthy cash sum for all involved. The concept Is then verified and The queue Of artists will get congested fairly quickly ....GL
actually its kesha's tweet retweeted by melody, but good figures either way.
Lofas
A few adds today , Melody paying for the gigs , not just LN playing at OUR venues ( that's important as it gives Melody some strength) , Kesha advertising massive ( we all picked up on others but now sorted ) apps being promoted daily ,
And no one with our venues and tech all set up --- who are our competitors ?? ------ LN need that 10 billion a year :) and then all the other Artists , the beauty is new young and up and coming , cash cow in years to come . LONG TERM SHARE . imo .
melody tweet 18 mins ago.views 2,600 . says it all imo.
IMO it’s straightforward, LN 24,000 event in calendar year before COVID to Zero. If viable alternatives exist For LN to generate cash in the immediate future, we would Have known about it. They came out with some ideas which got quickly canned. MVR is one proven option that can generate cash for LN. The MVR. advantage is that it can generate cash during COVID and beyond. Therefore it’s given that LN is working with MVR. The Big Q. How long we need to wait for the first A class performer to be promoted by LN using MVR tech and ticket master as the money collector. I’m still puzzled about MrZ intentions. MVR is well positioned whichever angle you look at it.
Horsey dont Jinx it !!
still got 10 minutes ,
its just good to end a friday in the blue!
An hour left to get above 5 . Then I’ll press go .
Pudding
do not sell your shares today :)
Wouldn’t want to be out of this over the weekend
RNS due
Kesha
being advertised all over the place :)
thank you alethiometer.i hadn't taken sufficient notice of the wording. good news indeed and impressive imo
The performances are described as "new and exclusive" so these must be new material.
Also listed as upcoming is IAMDDB (450k insta).
Impressive that the acts continue to flow.
things do seem to be ramping (sorry )up a bit. can anyone tell me if the lady leshuur performance is entirely new or something from wireless. my reason for asking is that there has been some criticism of wireless in that many of the acts seemed awkward or stilted and not really engaged due to lack of an audience ect (my words not quoting) i have only watched leshuur in the previews but she looked to me like someone who really knew how to perform and engage and in a different league to most of the others.(nothing to do with the music which i don't like ,but based on performance energy etc.this is just an anecdotal observation, so probably complete rubbish but if its entirely new it could be very popular.
The Kesha gig has been announced on the MelodyVR website.
The news update also mentions two more gigs lined up: Lady Leshurr (500k insta) and Donna Missal (80k insta)
