Will vary by category and country. Different levels of app saturation, competition, commercialisation features and different versions of an app can disrupt things in the data. I won't reveal details but I consulted on a project in the financial services sector in the past. The external platforms that estimate app downloads were so far off what internal company data highlighted. App store stat buckets can also be misleading. This particular client had estimated numbers flagged in the 500k downloads region. In reality, the app had been downloaded almost 8m times throughout its lifecycle.
The only thing I feel pretty confident in believing (based on my own experience) is that true downloads are probably going to be at least 5x higher than what the iOS and Play store numbers have you believe. The more important metric to consider if it ever becomes available is active users.
Fair shout!
ORLM...
You know your metrics ;)
How many downloads does an app need to get to break the top 20 in your opinion / knowledge? Hard one I know but I reckon you’ve got a better idea than me...
To add. I really think that the MKG arrangement will be between his licensing rights company and Melody. With a mention in the RNS it really does seem isolated from Wireless. Stick by assumption the Cardi B, Travis Scott and a few others will be the headliners at Wireless simply because of precedent and that naughty article by Music Week that got pulled ;)
Actually, thinking about it you may be right. His recent stuff is more rock than rap. Depends what mix of tunes was being worked on previously.
A
i think your right , people all over the planet party every minute of the day , Melody could simply keep filming ,
to be honest A1EX that is exactly what i was thinking.in a couple of days we will be starting to think what comes after wireless.it will be very important to keep up the momentum and what better way than to bring out one of the very big (machine) guns. pure speculation of course but it would make perfect sense.
Perhaps, but what better way for a rap artist to showcase their content to the masses than in a rap themed festival? If the glove fits....
tempting fate ORLM,but you never know.fingers crossed.
ORLM....
I think MGK is gonna be an isolated promotion. The ‘live from LA’ will continue after this weekend and there’s a need to continually build with high profile artists... Off the back of Wireless Connect Melody will want to maximise and retain as many users as possible. Just a feeling about this but then anything can happen!
Might even get the long anticipated MGK in on the action Italian!
it certainly does say further acts ORLM.great find.
Nice ORLM. Thanks and good find concerning that the artist list released is only 'some'..
Fair to assume as previously anticipated that the bigger names will be more focused in terms of PR for the event..
