Pander that article is from November...
Mr T - i leave you with Mr Poe's words:
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand —
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep — while I weep!
O God! Can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
Theo I tend to judge CEO actions in the long term, you might dispute what that is, but defo not the first hour trading day of his appointment. This share price is being manipulated, I thought we all agreed on that. I have seen this in Tesla for months. Came good on that, it will on this one too. CEO adds value by taking action to make the company grow, and as a consequence, the sp will go north accordingly.
Interesting

SP gone down? We are 45 mins in.................. How many matches do you go home before half time because your team is 1-0 down?
It is expected to make a loss. EXPECTED LOSS. what's not baked in?
dropping "rights issue" when the SP is being hit, sounds like agenda to me. Just saying.
70 branches in 10 years? What are we measuring it against? The boombastic sales talk of an Amercian entreprensuer?
He said £5Bn market cap for 200 branches. pro rata that with 70 branches..................
Guys of the many theories heard on this bb the least plausible is the right issue. Which one of you shareholder would subscribe if offered? Diluition would be crazy. The bank doesn’t need money from a risk and regulatory perspective. The stock price is depressed for a number of reason but not lack of capital. IMHO
Bigsmoke we don't know what the financial position is with MTRO at this moment, that's why we should be keen to hear the news next week. I am not saying there will be a rights issue, but it is possible; just like a JV, or TO is possible. With the benefit of hindsight the growth to 70 branches in 10 years might not be viewed as a big success. This is a different way to look at the current position.
trying reading what i said.
i did not say that is is not looking to pay a DIV at some stage.
no startup pays a DIV from year 1, 2 3 etc. cash burn.
as for, JJ and rights issue - for what? they company has capital.
Theo the CEO has no impact on the stock price of the company he manages? I am going to have to disagree on this one. And ref to the div, no ones expect that from a company at this stage of growth. Said that, after refinancing the MREL the company is in profit, as simple as that.
you can hardly roll out the 'no div' chestnut when it is (or was until very recently) a growth company and never sold itself as a DIV stock, plus, as the BARC well declared, the market do not see the stock as profitable until 2021.
over egging the doom this morning Mr T, IMHO.
Theo why would he not? His performance will be most likely related to value added and share price.. he joined the company, he took the ceo job, he must somehow believe in the company and in himself. Do not let your bias judge other people actions. IMHO
He has 100,000 options at market rate at exercise price.
Would not be surpised if exercises today at these craaaaazzzzzzzyyyyy prices.
Same old same old ... 180’s and I will take a punt
so will there be a massive BUY from Dan?
hold the debbie downer a min Mr T
i found it repulsive, personally.
would have been good to be a bank of the people.
what exactly has he transformed to date?
