Dogger im £200,000 down i fell your pain but i suggest looking again next Xmas
I'm not playing this down. Been waiting for a long while for this day to come.
Hopefully tomorrow is the end of our misery.
At this level, I don't understand how this share serves any benefit to MTRO. Take it private, end of.
pione3r: Now, please, don't you start!!
Yes malu, I fear he may be a troll. Either way, it is disturbing the way he consistently alludes to harming himself although he seemed to be able to cope with a 35k loss earlier in the week. I hope the news on Metro is good for all our sakes, financial & otherwise and hopefully this will rid us of our troublesome friend!
I've come back for the bumpy ride tomorrow. I guess we've all matured our expectations.
This is it, I am struggling to plan ahead if this goes South.
GLA
Maucha, I was not, mainly concerned he/she might do something stupid. However I do hope we are facing a troll, how low life they can be of making fun of mental health. Dogger should stick away from shares and dealing, clearly the pressure is too much and by putting a large amount of money without understanding the risks is a bit strange in more ways than one.
malu_1: Why are we still giving Dogger advice? Assuming his problem is for real, he's not heeded any of the advice, which has been very consistent by lots of different members here. It's not that I'm not sympathetic but how many times and ways can you sat the same thing!
Dogger - I hope you manage to find a solution for your current predicament, no matter how bad things remember there are always options so don't consider doing anything drastic.
I'm down a similar amount but believe the share will come good in the long term so fingers crossed, that initial drop made my heart sink. I've also come to terms with the fact I may lose it but I always remind myself of the slogan you always read i.e. may go down as well as up .
I've considered selling my shares but I'm going to stick with it for now.
Fingers crossed for you and I hope it starts to look up, tomorrow is a new day.
Doggers you need to go to gamblers anonymous if it’s making you feel this way. Spread betting is pure gambling, not investing (you never own the underlying asset) and it sounds like you have a problem.
There’s only so many times someone can keep posting the same thing over and over again. I’m sorry but I’m starting to have my doubts.
Dogger maybe look at selling half b4 results. If they double your better off. If they tank you can buy back cheaper. This is only my opinion and not advice ok
He had advice from a qualified adviser last week - on the house.
But he chose not to take it.. !
Sympathetic to his plight but there's no magic wand in these circumstances..
Dogger, not sure how many times you post the same comment, firstly do seek help as clearly this share business is not helping you and clearly it isnt for you. People have given you their advice time and time again. You have to ask yourself why you invested YOUR money in the first place. But please do seek help, you are not helping yourself here or anyone else. The advice you were given previously would at least help you out. Do go to an independent financial adviser tomorrow morning and he/she would be able to tell you what the best option for you are.
Guys I am 37k down ffs. I have no idea what to do. Losing that sort of money is not trivial to me and I could never live with such a loss. Who knows after results if it tanks that might just be it for me.
FFS - Any FCA decision is months off, probably 18 months at the earliest. Just go and look at the precedent on the FCA site. Fines give this years are from investigations started in 2015/2017. So it's not a factor at the moment.
A balanced post Bransonbull well said.
I believe a lot of holders have stepped out temporarily for results so if these are av. or good then they'll be buying back in at higher prices. Yes, if FCA fine is huge, the shock could knock the SP. Equally, they aren't stupid, they want challenger banks to prosper and a moderate fine could be applied instead, esp. when they know the difficulties @ MTRO with MREL.
