7.5% short SELL position for which the finds that are holding them have received millions of pounds from the buyers.
Sorry, was that a question? your posts are hard to follow...
If I do follow, you suggest that AS SOON AS they are borrowed they are ALL sold?
BS
Why don't you borrow some shares and keep them safe somewhere paying a fee.
LTI - "borrowed AND sold" ...
you catching on now?
BS
Disclosed short positions show the percentage of shares that have been borrowed and sold into the market.
The current short position is about 7.5%.
- liquid lunch (hic)
FFS- "LTI - you make the assumption they have sold and have not borrowed more. no?"
Q: LTI, are you not making the assumption that the shorters have sold all the shares they borrowed? And for those who have closed out their short position, might they not have borrowed more and not sold yet?"

''I think with the question you got your Cohen and Colombo mixed up.''
No mention of Cohen, you are a little mixed up.
I stated that Colombo is a buyer as are shorters if they were closing postions, so Colombo is not taking shares from shorters with reference to BS quote
''he takes the 10% short off the shorters, picks up some retail shorters, gets some more himself and he is at 20% -'' which is obviously a reference to Colombo.
BS then references 'they' (shorters) in his non question question.
''they have sold and have not borrowed more''
So Snige as I have said , no logical question asked so no answer can be given.
You probably realised that yourself when you had digested the BS question.
I was thinking more along the lines of Irn-Brew and a couple of fags afterwards.
I think with the question you got your Cohen and Colombo mixed up.
got to add the 'with' for better understanding
Snige
Does that come English sparkling wine?
LTI, i'm rather busy at the moment trying to make a fish 7 chip supper.
That's for two people!
Snige
It may make sense to you, but to most other people, there isn't a logical question.
What is the question Snige?
LTI, you've just got to read it a couple of times and it makes sense.
That should keep him busy,ha.
Snige
I thought not
Snige
What is the question?
Better not go for Bacol advisory job if you can't deal with simple questions on here!
BS
Cannot make any sense to your question
it's Friday afternoon ! gee me a break man.
Some of us haven't had 3 slap up lunches this week.
LTI - you make the assumption they have sold and have not borrowed more. no?
BS
''he takes the 10% short off the shorters''
Colombo is a buyer, as are shorters on reducing their position.
Declared shorts still at 7.5%
actually - Cohen 7% + prof shorters 10%, he is almost there.
he takes the 10% short off the shorters, picks up some retail shorters, gets some more himself and he is at 20% - then drags us all wover the finish line.
what do you think he has been doing since???
