Let’s hope he meant 48 and actually purchased at the top of the 2016 pump and dump guard, I think the last time it hit 58 was 2013…
If you have an average of 58p then you are one of two things. A liar. Or a fool. Perhaps both?? And you can’t hold many shares as it only traded at that level for a short time. There have been and still are ample opportunities to average down.
I was once told you shouldn’t own a share if you have lost confidence in management and you wouldn’t buy the position you have if you were starting fresh.
Sounds like you have the previous management to blame for your loses not the present lot. The company has also changed massively since then, so not quite sure I get your gripe. You are certainly welcome to complain, but I don’t really get it. I have many stocks I sit on way worse loses than that, of which many I have no hope of ever getting my money back. This is not a company I have that concern with. I was once in your shoes with MYR, but averaged down over the years and now sit in the green for my luck. Long may it last!
Nobody on the BB owes anyone else anything beyond a civil debate of MTR topics, SP prospects etc. You haven't paid for professional advice here Z, you can't blame others for your paper losses just because they posted in good faith that great things were to come, many mid to longterm posters are also underwater to varying degrees. The regular community posting here can see that for MTR success is only a matter of time. If you don't agree you are certainly entitled to challenge that viewpoint. But the tone of your messages is childish, "I told you so, I was right you were wrong..." sort of thing, it makes for dull reading. You can always crystallise your losses if you feel MTR is a lemon and re-invest elsewhere.
for me to break even, the price will have to get to 58p a share...... and yes, ive been in this a while, im well over 60% down.
people stated, we are fully cashed up...we wont need to issue any shares..... look at the collar loann facility..blah blah blah waffle blah.... people write things on this board without doing an research, i was laughably told..... yes, the thing about issueing more shares made me giggle, said another..... i hope theyre still giggling.
Absolutely fair, but in a constructive way would be more educational for those trying to understand your frustrations.. bemoaning the share price doesn’t help much. Though unarguably your right. How much exposure do you have in MTR to cause you so much irritation?
because, i have the right to rant, to complain, to moan and also to congratulate, the same as everyone else. so, im excercising that right.
i dont personally think that this share is being operated that well. and the last 20 months have indicated this. only my view, as im allowed one.
Ziq. What’s your game? If you don’t like the business model or the management style why are you invested. Surely it makes more sense to cut your loses and find another opportunity for yourself rather than ranting about a share price that isn’t likely to move significantly for a while yet
Im glad i listened to all the initially negative replies to my comment on this....... we are fully cashed up....its laughable....why dont people research etc etc...... good job we didnt issue any more shares... i would have looked a right fool.
still, i now know who to listen too and who is a master of BS.
and we are still..... 12% down, nearing 20 months on......
I cannot understand people’s confusion over this share consolidation. Basically, the 10 for 1 consolidation means: 1) number of shares of shared owned, goes down to 10% of previous holding, e.g. 10,000, now becomes 1,000. 2) Share price goes up by a factor of 10, i.e. 2.3p a share, now goes upto 23p for each consolidated share. Hope this helps.
I don’t know why you keeping going on about 900%? You know perfectly well that was due to the share consolidation!
Shezer, research the share! It’s gone up 200% since March! Profit taking?
Shezer, why would a MTR go cap in hand to shareholders when it can drawdown on the derivative collar ISDA? Sometimes I really do wonder!
Morning Candy
I agree with you and the bizarre thing is this; nothing has happened !!
yes this is my sporting background but I am an equally succesful entrepenuer and investor
Morning Troops ! How much do they owe on that collar facility ?
There definitely wont be a placing anytime soon IMHO , I have a huge holding here and am very comfortable it wont happen
To be clear, I am long here and see a lot of upside. 25% this year at least...
Seem to be a few naysayers on the board this morning. Can't see why. I have faith in the Bod to deliver. We have so much going for us at the moment.
Ziquarat, why would anyone laugh? With many AIM companies there only way to finance their operations is through discounted share placements. MTR have access to a derivative collar facility through a major Inter atonal Bank. You will of course known this and read the various RNS’s. Not in MTRs or shareholders to issue more paper.
Ziquarat, you seem to be getting a little hot under the collar. Who knows where we'll be SP wise in a month's time or for what reason? However I doubt the MTR BoD have done this for a quick fix, but as part of a longer term strategy so I don't think they'll be terribly disappointed if there's no sudden jump in the SP and probably the same goes for most on here. The point is that the share consolidation was and is seen to be a sensible move to position the company for what most of us think lies ahead.
It's quite possible we'll be down, but it was the comment about issuing more shares to raise funds - that shows a complete lack of knowledge as to MTRs current position.
Then to ALL of you, who know better...All who have laughed, all who find themselves superior.. i shall say this.... If we are up or even at the end of the month, i shall bow down before you, offer my most sincere apologies, in a style that will make you blush at their ebulient , effervescent nature.....
BUT.... if we are down.... YOU can stand by :-)
Crikey has the spread widened???!
Simon Thompson's tip a few weeks was spot on.
