Appreciated, thanks
Yes, the latest presentation webinar is available on their own website.
Was the webinar recorded? Is it available anywhere?
Thanks
If there is a takeover, why have a placing ;)
This news is a complete game changer, a World First, if a placing leads to monetising Q-Sphera, then its a necessary evil. If say £10m placing down the line creates huge value for all shareholders, i dont think anyone will be complaining, thats how business works. Its all about looking at the bigger picture. 'Speculate to accumulate'.
Would like to know who this Global Healthcare Company is that they have partnered with.
Risk reward seems fantastic to me.
- Already partnered with 2 Global Pharmaceutical Companies
- Has made a company changing breakthrough, truly transformational
I'm guessing with this news its going to be very exciting times ahead.
From the webinar, Stephen Stamp said - they are very concerned about a takeover with regards to the extremely low market cap. Currently there is a huge gap between current value v intrinsic value. Upto now they couldn't let anyone know officially without the data. However with this latest breakthrough last week, they will be on a roadshow soon to spread this exciting news!
Onwards and upwards.

This all sounds great but what are people’s thoughts about a placing in the short term? During the webinar they mentioned they had less cash burn and funding until the end of Q4 however they are not going to leave it until the end of Q3 to raise funds and it’s unlikely they will have a saleable product for some time yet.
I hate placings, they only serve ii’s and PI’s always end up getting diluted. There was a holdings RNS yesterday which suggested the dumping of stock in preparation for a placing purchase at a more favourable SP. I hope this is not the premise on the run up to this months AGM.
If a placing can be ruled out in the short term this will fly. This is dream news for a company such as MT.

This is the most obvious outcome I can see here.
If the Q-Sphera is truly revolutionary and ground breaking, which is what the data is showing, and as they described in the investor webinar their 'watson and crick moment' (Deciphering the helical structure in DNA).
No company or academic institution have ever achieved what they have just done. A true competive advantage, can create a monopoly and control market share and price. Essentially license to print money. Unlike all these covid stocks, there arent another 100 companies doing the same!! Its just them, and them alone.
Now why would a big pharma/healthcare company not come in and buyout Midatech for absolute peanuts, currently £23m. Potential market for this 1 product is $154billion worldwide. Not including the other several products they have in the pipeline. The global healthcare company which they are partnered with, must know exactly what they have achieved!
If i was them, I would offer 70-80p (£50m), and buy Midatech out. Obviously extremely bad news for shareholders. Unless the share price can go on a crazy run, we will never get full value.
Just think about it, why would these big pharmas make commercial deals with Midatech, whan their market cap is so so low, easier to just buy them out! Now if it was valued at £400-500m, then the situation is completely different.
Lets see what happens in the next 6 months, and hoping this goes on a super run in the ££.
This could be BIG, really BIG, everone will want a peice of Midatech' technology.
