Thankyou Viveka, really appreciate your views.
£3 Billion company, I wouldn't be complaining ;) Approx £47.50 per share ;)
Like you say, my thinking also, surely all the big pharmas will now be interested! MTPH hold the patent, and there is zero competition, if management can deliver this can really be something HUGE £££
Let's see how this progresses over the coming months.
Since last weeks game changing news, not a peep from them. Hopefully starting next week, they look to get the word out. (Can only hope they have been extremely busy with all the pharmas contacting them to get into partnership agreements lol)
Stephen mentions towards the webinar, 'upto now we couldn't say anything'. Well its now in the open, official RNS released, no excuses now!
All the best to everyone invested here, feels like its finally on the cusp of something very very big.
Thanks again.
The potential is massive, Sp28 – it always has been. The first CEO said he wanted it to become at a £3 billion business. At IPO the M cap was £74 million, and at that stage all 3 platforms were unproven. Since then, all 3 have been shown to work. Q-Sphera has shown huge potential. And yet, the M cap remains at around £20 million and does not reflect the substantial progress that has been made.
As for last week’s news, you can get a gauge of the Q-Mab performance from the graphs on the recent presentation. They show that the Q-Sphera protein retains functionality. Although early days - it’s a significant development. With a traditional emulsion process, the protein would be denatured by heat etc. and wouldn’t work.
Mabs bring in big revenue for the pharmaceutical companies (154 billion dollars in 2020). However, patent protection is running out on some of them. A Q-Sphera formulation of a long-acting Mab would allow a pharmaceutical company to extend the patent protection and protect revenues – it’s called evergreening. There would be benefits also for patients , medical staff and payors, and other cost savings. Big Pharma should be interested in this development.
Hi Viveka, you seem like a very knowledgable poster on MTPH, with last weeks RNS, what is the potential here? In your opinion where can this go?
And why no reaction to the share price, with the breakthough that everyone was waiting for??
Thanks in advance
I’ve not posted for a few months because there has not been anything new to write about. I’ve not lost interest and I have been reading the chat on a regular basis – waiting, like most long-term holders, for a signed licence agreement to appear.
The Q-Sphera Mab data looks really promising – it may even turn out to be the game changer we have all been waiting for. But I thought the same about the MTD201 (Q-Octreotide) data – and that has come to nothing so far. That’s the thing that I don’t understand. Why does Novartis stick with an inefficient and wasteful high energy reactor-based emulsion process to make Sandostatin LAR when Midatech’s Q-Sphera can (seemingly) make them a better product? Better for the patient, better for the clinician and better for the payor.
Stamp said at last September’s webinar:
“Our target is to land our first licence fee in the first quarter of next year.”
Well, it’s come and gone – and no fee. Come on Midatech, walk the talk!
so we are supposed to accept it without validation from other parties, just because company says The breakthrough data

as said by some, Viveka`s expertise in drug delivery kept me interesting in mtph,
unfortunately not posting anymore ( think , lost interest in company)
Greatly appreciate your time and thoughts!
Hopefully for long termers your patience is thoroughly rewarded.
If they could/would release the Global Healthcare Company name, it would do wonders!
Risk/reward seems fantastic. Downside seems limited, very strong support at 31p, upside could really be anything! £3, £5 and beyond. Definitely multibagger potential with this breakthrough. Like I say hopefully management can execute it now, and truly earn their worth. The scientists have done their work.
Let's see where this goes in the next 3-6months.
Thanks again
The breakthrough is great, I believe this company has so much potential with it's pipeline. I do however share the apprehension with some of the other longer term holders and that's the fact that despite all it's potential, this company is not making any money, it keeps getting the donations bucket out and diluting shareholders.
As for the global healthcare company, I'm not sure. They've been very secretive about it... The number of products they've been working on went from one to four which is encouraging. I think this is most likely gamechanger for mtph and hopefully we'll be updated soon as to how that is going.
TTF - You seem like a very knowledgeable poster.
Any thoughts on last weeks breakthrough news?
And any thoughts on who this Global Healthcare company is?
Appreciate any info provided.
26th Jan RNS - Dr Reddies. Got it. Thanks.
I have bought in here for the Q-Sphera breakthrough.
Hopefully Stephen (i read an ex investment banker) and management have the know how and skill to add significant value here.
It's in the 26th Jan 2021 Business Update RNS.
'The collaboration with Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd was mutually terminated.'
I don't want to be rain on your parade but it's important for people to know facts about the company (I'm a holder myself, before anyone points the deramping finger...).
Good old Timmytraderface.. a name that has been with us for a long time.. and calls it warts and all..
A good bulletin board is a balanced one imho
( ps good post all the same Sp28 imho )
Thanks.Happy to be wrong!
Can you please point me to the RNS?
Info I have is from recent webinar/presentation/rns's.
Don't want to misinform people.
Thanks in advance.
SO, 9 OUT OF 10 AINT TOO BAD is it?
'Collaboration with Dr Reddies - Billion Dollar pharmaceutical Company. FACT'
Wrong. That collaboration was mutually terminated earlier this year.
Erm not ramping, trying to spread facts about the company i am invested in, like anyone else. I guess others have ulterior motives!
A world first discovery. FACT
No other company or academic institution has discovered this. FACT

Can go on and on...
Lets see what happens over the next few months.
If you have held for years, i can understand your frustration. Looks like last weeks news was a complete game changer though. All the best.
Ps: look at the amount mtph has raised over the years and look what they've delivered so far...and that's not to mind their original market listing that raised a shed load too.. this company has been a complete clusterf+ck so far.. even by AIM standards.. but hope springs eternal and I somewhat still believe
What makes you think I was including you under the 'uninspiring posts' Sp28 ?
So you get to ramp the a*rse off this.. and I offer an alternative view..and we know what my game is.. so, equally, we know what your game is too :-)
Quite contradicting, funnily enough you talk about 'uninspiring posts', i think you need to reread your own posts again!!! Anything but inspiring!
You love to mention placings in every post ;)
Like I said we know what your game is.
Placings can be fantastic if done in the right way and for the right reasons. Its how business works!
Eg if they raised £5-10m, and turned this into a ££200-300m company, i don't think anyone would complain!
I'm fairly surprised it didn't roar up on that news too - eg 100p that day was not impossible in my mind - and when it turned down punchily at 50 p I was disappointed and then felt compelled to change my view quickly.
We need size buyers in the open market, but the kicker might be that they'll hold fire and instead participate in a placing that they know will soon be upon us .... and get in in size at some very favourable for them price, that might be a fraction of what their overall average would be if buying in size in the open market here.. and with many companies on it endlessly going cap in hand for raise after raise, AIM can often a brutal game for long term holding Pi's, alas.. eg Mtph.l ( but adding range trading alongside buy and hold absolutely can help )
Thanks NtM and likewise. Good point about Viveka, I hope all is well? I remember that Viveka thought/predicted that the cracking the mAb / large molecule formulation problem would a game changer around a year ago so surprised not to see any posts. I have to say I am a little surprised that the SP stays so suppressed with the news, I would have expected it to be slightly higher, even in the face of the anticipated raise that's coming. This is going to be on Stamp and Co. to get the message out. The news isn't exactly top of any mainstream pharma newsfeeds. PR has been an issue for Mida in the past, I hope those days are behind us.
100% Coldbuffet... and if I could have put it that well myself i would have :-)
You've been one of the top posters in my time here and that's much appreciated. Speaking of top posters, I'm wondering where my all time top poster here, Viveka, is as he hasn't posted here in a while now, I think. That guy has an brilliant brain and different level technical understanding too imho.
Generally, if the filtering on LSE allowed a filter all bar a,b,c etc, I 'd have you two and a few others and exclude the rest.. as most of the posting here is -putting it nicely - 'very uninspiring' imho.
For anyone that has been here for a long time (NicetoMichu included) we are used to the constant boom and bust after any news. Sometimes even after no news at all. The poor liquidity and I suspect general negative outlook from short term shareholders make this a reality. Due to short term volatility this is ripe for the picking. I have held shares since 2015, when they were pounds not pence. I've kept some while they massively deflated through dilution but also traded short term to regain the losses. The point is, if you believe in the company (as I do) then always hold a portion of shares in case this explodes, which I am hopeful of. That doesn't stop one from also trading short term. One share, two plays. That advice is for free, take it or leave it ;-)
This share price has been sitting in a boring/dead range - 25p to 30 odd p- for a few months prior to this latest update RNS underdog..hence why I've posted little or nothing in that time.. I've posted many many posts over recent years here and was posting on II BB for Mtph instead of here for years prior to that (I hold about 40 open positions at any one time and so generally focus on a given one only when it's 'in play'.. )
come on!! really??? so over 2500 posts and with the news the other day you post 3 times before today. It doesn't matter what I think though. BTW I'm in XTR as well and they'll have their day during the 2nd phase.
