Cannot resist a banter before the results, everything s looking so good and I must say we have not had many - anti posts, the price is fair atm for the debt situation and as we all know this should change rapidly one the figures are published.
Confessing my situation I am probably in for a while yet but at 75 next month and with a good pension and a property am not in the need of mega bucks, just need to feel how it goes - some in ISA, some in SIPP and a few in my day trading I can afford to play a little and be "risky" on the sells, but cute on the buys.
Quite a sensible spread today so good luck to all of you new and established, let the good times roll - have put feelers out on my new car - a Ford Kuga -hybrid - any comments would be welcomed.
As before good luck all.
Roy
Me too. Bought more.
Gold $18.30
Couldn't resist some more. Another 232k at what is a silly price. Soon I will be rich rich rich !!
We will see 3p in 2022, but as Carefree indicates, the big gains are from dividends and the share price that supports the dividends, a 10p share price supports a 0.5p dividend, that’s a relatively low ball stab when we clear the debt, and the debts falling quicker than many believed possible, the gold price is only set to go higher and the interest amounts to shrink, and what do you have to do? Simply hold your shares, they are a gift at these prices, that’s a fact.
Talk about short termism lol. Sell up for 100% increase from current SP or collect upto 10p in dividends by 2027.
Anybody else see the irony in that?
Lee and CK. I agree. There is an awful lot of short termism in the market at the moment, not just in MTL. For instance, this last week has seen 10% and more swings in MTL and many other stocks. This is because too many people are focused on making a quick quid ort wo at the expense of longer term plays. MTL has been a very long wait for me but I really feel that LTHs time has come . It will be very tempting to sell up if we see a30/ 50% rise after the next results this or next week but even better to see a 100% rise in 2023.

Totally agree Lee. I do think this will move quickly and will reward those of us with patience handsomely. We eagerly await the update...got a feeling for tomorrow
I’ve said this a few times before, but when we first financed via a Bank loan at the point where the mine was ready to start processing its first gold we had loaned $83 million over 2.5 years at 8% and we had a market cap of over £100m, gold was around $1200 an ounce and we hadn’t made a dime in gold, the Director at that time purchased £250k worth of shares, how can our current market cap of £30 million be right? When we produce $40 million profit per annum, and set to go higher, it’s a waiting game but the numbers don’t lie, I’m completely bemused how investors can’t wait when the possible gains are so large, a rerate to sensible value will take place at some point, just wait.
It is a waiting game I guess, debt should be under 100 million this quarter. Gold price is stable around 1800 level so expanding production would be only way forward to bring down debt quickly. When company came out of suspension it was trading at this level since then it has paid a quarter of debt, production is stable and pog is stable too. Equity should have gained some value!
or they know something we dont...
That was a strange offloading this morning, think they might regret that in a few days, no news is not a reason to give your shares away, MTL are at a turning point this year, I have absolutely no doubt on that, we really shouldn’t be this cheap, it’s time for a re-rate, I see 3p on the horizon, 6 months maximum.
I think this is only the start
xmas over, purses ready - dips and spikes
if you can afford - I am still here watching for them - as i know a few of you are on the ball - quiet - but on the ball
forget the gold price - it will fluctuate but we have the other metals which correct me if I am wrong are rising
dip & spike time
