Half the companies I've been following have delayed their results because of Covid. As for the meeting, I don't know. But I doubt they have anything worth observing at the moment. I can't see what they would have to lose other than the effort and expense of setting up a webcast. So maybe it's that.
Fair enough. But why delay the results and not allow us to observe the meeting on the 30th of Sept?
"I am going to say if NO news between those dates it is dead."
That's quite an assumption.
There will be three months left from the end of October. If they're having to negotiate with several parties to arrange the sale of Iclaprim and several others to complete the RTO, it's reasonable to think that talks could go on for some time.
Plus, with last week's announcement a number of other companies looking for a quick listing will have suddenly appeared.

AGM on the 30th Sept
Interim Results on the 30th Oct
Surely between those two dates we have to have some news. I am going to say if NO news between those dates it is dead.
aye something is a afoot....in it to win it as they say....wake up one morn and boom ...aye aye.
dyor and all that stuff.
Personally I see this as good news, they MIGHT be finishing a deal and not wants to show accounts with anything sensitive?
Must admit that a little bit of wee came out when I saw the red dot... Hey ho tick tock not was I was expecting
haha that was funny.
I’m invested in both, unsure about you. But either way with all the crap 2020 has thrown at us a little bonus payday would be good.
Just proving a point on BOU about an email I got. The two perpetrators that spouted misleading responses have kept quite.
Trifle - only thing brewing is the crap coming out of your mouth. You have zero credibility you muppet.
If its a 10x bag I and the missus will be cartwheeling naked as my profit will be north of 250k...
Why next week?
Are we talking about the right share?
If we 10x bag I’m going to be running around naked.
£100k would be the return
I meant the phase III antibiotic from MGB BIO not MTFB. its just reported a great phase II. So could be aligned with MTfB to get two late stage assets...in one RTO NEWCO
Elsol some months back we worked out very very very vaguely using the Arpida/Evolva rto as a template 4/1 dilution but trading at a premium to the sp at the time would have worked out at 4/5p a share But I hasn’t to add ( before someone else does ) that A. It was very vague calculations. B. It’s a different company although comparable in terms of the iclaprim asset. C. Past performance yadyadyadyada! Point is from where we are now with things going in our favour a ten bagger would be a huge result!
Somebody will want to be on the BoD or chairman to submit a monthly invoice... this cow still has some milk and it will be milked. Luckily investors cannot put milk back into the cow now.
Why would cw want to be reappointed a director in the upcoming agm? The fact he is still associated with motif is why I’m confident something will come off. How that will work out for investors will remain to be seen. As far as I’m concerned my money is lost so anything is a bonus
Or he knows we are in a death spiral and cannot be bothered to reply
I did send an email enquiry a few weeks ago to ask what the plans are for a phase III trial for MGB Biopharma where Chris is also a Director - no response could mean that they are out-licensing it for a big pharma to deal with??
If Novartis are interested I guess that they could help facilitate an RTO transaction between another entity or collection of some other entities and MTFB (eg . sign a licensing deal or purchase of the asset with MTFB or agree to one with the Newco. subject to its formation) or even buy the RTO Newco outright if it has some other interesting elements to it. Just a thought...fingers crossed.
So Novartis will be using us as a RTO vehicle or just buying iclaprim
I still dont think this is a 50x bagger - its either a tea bagger or up to a 10x bagger max IMO. But hope I'm being pessimistic obviously.
Presumably, the presence of a new synthesis route may allow the active ingredient to be produced in greater purity and hence less possible side reactions/side effects when wrapped up in a tablet/capsule?? I have my fingers crossed but very positive sign Novartis is investing R&D $$$s into the synthesis - why would they if everyone believes the asset is "dead"...
Update ,
CORRECT: Motif Bio Delays 2019 Results As Faces AIM Takeover Deadline
Tue, 23rd Jun 2020 08:48
(Correcting that Motif Bio became a cash shell after putting iclaprim assets up for sale, but no sale has been completed.)
You’re correct Mark. It was in a news article on 22nd of June. I sent an email to the author and he replied on the 23rd to say that it was a mistake.
It’s also just occurred to me ....
Remember back in June/July when there was a news article stating we had sold iclaprim and it was swiftly followed by a retraction the following day ..... hmmmm.
