I appreciate the lamellar connection was not new but the article I mentioned below was new to me and I thought that it may give a further insight into the connection. Sorry for any confusion.
It’s not new news tho! The agreement to trial was from last year but curious how there was never any conclusion to it published and then we find ourselves where we are with our new board appt and his connection directly back to lamellar.
Thanks for the update Mark. This would explain Lamellars interest and hopefully lead to an upward movement.
Now that would be a game changer . Tomorrow going to be very interesting got that feeling gla
The product is Lamellasome by lamellar bio. They believe it can prevent the serious long term lung damage and we had an agreement with them last year for them to trial iclaprim with this product.
Lamellar are rumoured to be the ones interested in an rto and that’s also one of the companies our new board appt is very much connected to.
I’d love to know if there was an option to buy agreement in that contract!
Hi all. Just saw this on a different share chat on LSE and remember reading here about a week ago that Iclaprim could possibly be used in combination with a Lamellar product via an inhalation to the lungs. Will need someone with a greater knowledge than mine to say whether Iclaprim would be any good in the scenario '
THOUSANDS OF DUTCH COVID-19 PATIENTS LIKELY HAVE PERMANENT LUNG DAMAGE, DOCTOR SAYS'
'Thousands of Netherlands residents who recovered from Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus, may be left with permanent damage to their lungs, resulting in decreased capacity and more difficulty absorbing oxygen, Leon van den Toorn, pulmonologist chairman of the Dutch association of physicians for pulmonary disease and tuberculosis NVALT, said to newspaper AD.
Many people underestimate the consequences of the coronavirus Van den Toorn said to the newspaper. The virus and the body's response to it can cause permanent damage to the lungs, he said. "In severe cases, a kind of scar formation occurs, we call this lung fibrosis. The lungs shrink and the lung tissue becomes stiffer, making it harder to get enough oxygen."
Van den Toorn expects that "there may be thousands of people in the Netherlands who suffered permanent injury to the lungs from corona". Of the 1,200 Covid-19 patients who so far recovered after admission to intensive care, "almost 100 percent went home with residual damage", he said to AD. And about half of the 6 thousand people who were hospitalized, but did not need intensive care, will have symptoms for years to come. '
