Such a curious stock. There were 3 iclaprim publications in scientific journals this year, all related to skin infections. To say iclaprim is worthless is a little premature.
The fluctuations have been wild yesterday and today... some people must have made money.
The thing that does not make sense to me is the wide spread... would this not make this a poor stock to pump and dump? I am relatively new to investing.
I have to say though, I have learned a lot holding this stock. Fingers crossed there is more action. I would love to see an RTO and follow what happens after that.
Good luck all.
The bad Penny has turned up again
Booby - Lol YOU'RE not allowed to say anything positive about Motif. Mind you don't overstep the mark again and get a ban.
Doyezee, lol your not allowed to say anything that is not positive about Motif, but i do agree with everything you've said though.......
I was also down about that much but my average is now around 0.7 so looking much better than a few months ago. Not sure the link below will work but here goes
https://cysticfibrosisnewstoday.com/2019/05/07/motif-bio-lamellar-test-new-therapeutic-combination-systic-fibrosis-lung-infections/
Doyezee - ?? Clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Motif Bio has signed an agreement with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) to conduct pre-clinical testing to evaluate novel combinations with 'iclaprim', to improve safety and efficacy administered by a novel enhanced aerosol technology
My losses sit at 98.5% in Motif following the FDA non approval. Not worth selling since so hold my shares in the Slim hope I may get a little more of what Ive lost to date back. I wish anyone who invests here luck - you’ll need it.
Doyezee a question if I may, if you still hold shares then surely a rise is beneficial to you as well as it is us other holders. What seems bizarre is your negativity to this share succeeding. If a successful RTO happens then you will most likely get some money back, a gamble yes, but let’s not be down in the dumps about a potential success after all this time. Surely it is something we should all welcome!
Again not an epic failure - more tests requested for progression. At the time nobody saw value to it but things have moved on significantly since then. Check out Lamellar and what they have. They have been quoted as saying there may be a use for one of their products in combination with Iclaprim for lung disease. Also check out Chris Wardhaugh.
Doyezee - Epic failure... What has happened to the US Army funding of Iclaprim ??
Doyezee if you fear for your shares you could sell them at any time, or close the short you opened, either or
Covid is here granted but tens if not hundreds of millions will need to be invested again as you’re talking about a drug or drugs that was targeting different illnesses. After the epic failure of Iclaprim, are any serious investors going to put their money here again? As I said, only real gamblers
Doyzee - as Babajoe has said - Covid happened. They may well have come now - that's the reason I'm hanging onto my shares. I agree it's a big gamble but one I'm prepared to take.
You’re dating Covid has stopped investment here? Can’t even engage with you anymore if that’s what you think
Simple - Covid is whats new
An Aim company that’s a bit of a punt who would have thought it!
Saint, so why didn’t the Calvary come with more cash as in investors?
And what exactly are they buying. More than 100 million was put in to getting Iclaprim to market but it didn’t get there. Anyone who is looking to develop anything Motif has left will have to have tremendously deep pockets so as to accommodate the risk reward. Again, Motif and Iclaprim been around the block a few times so you have to ask why a buyout by a bigger player has never happened if there was anything of real interest in their arsenal? Nothing but bare bones now
Doyzee - don't forget that Iclaprim wasn't bombed out by the FDA - they asked for further info and at that point Motif were unable to proceed due to a shortage of cash. Also it's been suggested that Iclaprim could possibly be used for a different indication (Covid related) to the original submission.
Doyezee do not just base the decision on Iclaprim, this is a vehicle to AIM for companies who are interested, Pharmaceutical and or Covid (which at the moment would be my direction). The companies interested in the RTO and there are some are seeing this as a route to market!
When the RTO comes in my opinion it will be very interesting!
100% correct Doye, however you pays your money and makes your choice...
If a RTO was likely and people wouldn’t do well’ don’t you think investment professionals would be piling into this? This at very best is a total punt now so anyone investing here should be prepared to lose their money following the road crash FDA non-approval of Iclaprim. DYOR
Am guessing a newbie who brought in yesterday and wants a quick buck.....good things come to those who wait!
He is history.....................
Saw that on NCYT! This doesn't need ramping! If there is an RTO we should all do well....until then sit back and relax! And Ignore BF
