Goldstinger, Dead bb if you could prove you had shares you could find out what is going on with the shareholders group.
Sharedealer2019 it gives me a warm cuddly feeling that you and your likes didn’t profit from my 1.5m holding in mtfb, and I’d vote exactly the same way again in a heartbeat!
BOD professional reputation is ruined, and they will likely never serve again on another BOD, their brand is toxic, don’t suppose you or they considered that with their game of bluff!
Well my portfolio will recover the loss, their reputation damage is permanent and complete.
Slam dunk for shareholders imho
Magic beans crops up a lot on here.
As I recall from Jack and the Beanstalk...
Mother sent Jack to buy bread or something with the last few coppers and he bought magic beans. Foolishly it seemed, but then he was proven right as I recall! Sorry if the spoilers ruined the story for anyone.
The beans I have today were bought some time ago and some of them sold, to create a free carry. Hardly foolish, and a fairly classic investment style I think. I was not sent out by mother and didnt threaten starvation due to foolishness.
The beans did actually grow quite well and there was definitely treasure to be had - then fee fi fo fun, I smell the blood of a thieving bod. The rest is history.
As far as I know there has not yet been a statement about administration or voluntarily closing the company down. Yes, that may happen, provided that the bod stick to the rule of law. If they dont, they'll be in the nick as soon as we've captured the treasure and chopped the bean stalk down.
God what am I doing posting on a a dead BB. Must be in fairytaleland.

Bit quiet here since the proven shareholders formed their own forum and action group isn’t it Magpies ?
That's absolutely right....
That's the shareholders' democratic right to stop the conniving , money grabbing BoD from lining their own pockets at shareholders expense !!! ;-))
Live Long & Prosper !!
Any other offers possible?
That’s democracy for you.
People were warned there was only one deal on the table and if they voted it down then the company would most likely end up with administrators. In the end people voted and hoped they would be a second option, a bluff if you will, well as warned people only have themselves to blame! As some others have said, someone close and lock the door on the way out.
" Glass more than half empty eh?"
More likely bone dry by the final whistle tonite !!!!
;-))
Goldie... Surely, if the company is 'wound-up' then there won't be any share holders anymore ??
...and therefore any money from 'Iclaprim' ,or anywhere else for that matter , will be lining someone else's pockets !!!
Now where did I put those 'magic beans'.....
;-))
Cheers Hedgehog. Glass more than half empty eh? It's TRUE what you say but considering the world absolutely needs this drug, the issue seems to me to be that they (FDA? Medical profession, govmts?) Want to keep some dry powder for when they need it. Hence the US Army investigation. It's quite clear (to me anyway) the reasons for rejecting the application were bent to say the least. Of course, when a company is almost dead the vultures will pick at the carcass and gorge themselves on a freebie. Is it right? No.
As far as I can make out shareholders will still have a right to 90% of earnings over $250,000. So some slim chance of some cash one day. But that depends if those rights are /or have been squandered by further underhanded dealing by our thieving bod.
No one else is posting on here as they are all busily planning privately a legal onslaught on the culprits. They wont be smiling much longer, maybe.

10th Oct 2019 7:00 am RNS Motif Bio confirms receipt of FDA meeting minutes
" ... As disclosed in the announcement on September 30, 2019, the minutes confirm that a single well-designed adequate and well-controlled Phase III clinical trial demonstrating safety and efficacy of iclaprim in patients with HABP, including VABP, along with data on potential mechanisms of hepatic injury, would enable submission of a New Drug Application for approval by FDA. It would take several years to enroll and complete a HABP/VABP Phase III trial and the cost is expected to be tens of millions of dollars. ..."

28th Jan 2020 7:00 am RNS Corporate Update
"...Motif Inc. has ceased all operations and has engaged Tamarack Associates to facilitate the sale of iclaprim and other assets of Motif Inc. In spite of a comprehensive outreach program, no transaction is currently pending for the sale of Motif Inc.'s assets and there is no assurance that there will be a transaction to monetise the assets. ..."

Whatever Iclaprim was valued at in the past, and has had spent on it, is largely irrelevant to its value now.
It will now be viewed as a rejected drug with toxicity concerns that needs tens of millions of dollars spent on it, in a process taking several years and with an uncertain outcome.
That's why there been no buyer after about a year and a half.
And anyone interested will know that they should be able to pick it up from administration for next to nothing.
Does anyone have a clue how much we spent to acquire iclaprim in the first place?
I think we acquired during merger with Nuprim. Accounts April 2016 show we spent £5.5M to subsidiary that appears on accounts as “capital cost to subsidiary, after acquisition”.
Does anyone know for sure if that amount equates to the value of Iclaprim? At that time of course. Just a hunch.

Come on guys, however hard it may seem can the last person leaving the building please turn the lights off and lock the door behind you ! this is defo goodbye. ; 0 ((

"Watch out for the directors if they get positioned in any other companies and avoid those companies like the plague....................otherwise you know whats coming." Might be something this BB could do to stay useful?

HSD. I agree. I mentioned that Sirius Minerals chat board is still up and running.
