Is this share dead? I see Matra Petroleum is now Pure Positioning AB, so a completely different form of business, different management team etc, however if we had shares in the original MTA, does that now mean we hold shares here, or is that complete wishful thinking? cannot believe the demise of MTA as it was doing well at one point and seemingly had a lot of potential! you can trust noone in this game it seems!
Well that looks to be the end of the road. Received an email from Matra this morning, main part as below.
Creditors under credit agreements with Legacy Texas Bank and Melody Business Finance have demanded acceleration of Matra’s US subsidiaries’ obligations and notified these companies that all debt, in total at least USD 73.6 million, is due and immediately payable to the creditors.
The creditors have further requested that collateral for the loans is sold at forelosure sales on July 2, 2019. The collateral includes essentially all Matra Petroleum’s oil and gas assets.
Matra Petroleum’s U.S subsidiaries have not secured refinancing, are considering liquidation options, and will take action in accordance with relevant insolvency legislation in the USA.
Looks as if its the end of the road for shareholders
So quiet on here now , have we all given up hope of any return , I certainly have .
Starting to do well...production building...our money will come back one day soon...OIL
yes they are and trading on the swedish exchange at about sek 4.15 , most if not everybody is losing money on this one , but still have hope that they will sell on like the last company they ran after turning it into something more tangible. Progress is being made albeit slowly , nearly up to a 1000 barrels per day. Just announced second quarter results , see their web site.Hope helps.

Is this company still operating ??
Hello, anybody there..........??
I transferred my MTA shares to de Giro, which is a low cost broker. I do think they are a newbie in the UK. My experience is they have a fantastic helpdesk and quick follow-up on issues. regards from the Netherlands
Unfortunately, I sold my shares for a big fat stinking loss because Barclays can no longer be bothered to deal with them! Lucky my only other shares are in Sound Energy, where even now at depressed prices I am quids in & these will more than make up my MTA losses & then some. In fact, early retirement beckons later next year if all goes to plan with Sound! Good luck all Matra holders but reluctantly I'm out! Crude
Thanks for the feedback :) To be honest I don't want to keep them, it will be just another quarterly charge for another broker as you said. Funny thing is I called Barclays twice his week, stayed on the line for half an hour each time, both times lost the will to wait. At least they could pick up the phone and tell me what they going to do with them. I will try again this week, I just have to find at least an hour free time to hang on the phone :)
Im in same boat with barclays. They offered to sell them without charges incurred but its barely worth it. Got till friday to find somewhere but itll be an extra quarterly charge just for this one share. Unsure whether itll be worth it but its a hell of a loss otherwise.
I have been told by Barclays that I have to transfer my shares to another provider as they no longer can hold them for me. Has anyone else been in the same situation and which provider have you picked? Thanks!
Making a come back from lows of 4sek now 8.60sek bid lets hope its only up from here. Needs to double at least just to get something back , still a long way off any recovery of funds invested. Would need to be about 75sek. One can hope.
Sounds like you need to change your broker although not worth it if just one stock. They must have a stock discrepancy somewhere as these were transformed out of Crest. So not sure where they are held but would expect there to be a cost whoever is holding them. Overseas custody fees are normally higher than those shares held in Crest. The first thing is to find out where your holding is and then either change broker who can hold them or request a sale. You will be at the mercy of exchange rate deals to convert to sterling. Halifax should be able to help with all this. I use TDW and they are holding my shares albeit valued in Krona and yes it will cost me in excess of £50 to sell and possible custody fees. Hope helps.
I hope your right Dave , Ive decided to hang on in there and turn it into a very long term investment . If they pay a dividend (I know right really) but technically if my broker Halifax who don't trade on Stockholm, will the money still come to my aacount . Phone calls with broker and they have no answer. Does any one know if they have responsibity to still accept and pass this on . ..? Side note anyone found a cheap way to trade the shares without £50 fee and hassle etc. Is it worth having a holiday to Stockholm and using a local broker abroad. I'm still amazed that it's hassle to get access to the Stockholm market . With Trump fossil fuel made we could see some action in the oil market over his tenure .
Good set of numbers from Matra with improved performances , I still expect this Company to move up to at least double current share price over the next few months.
Although long term holders have lost out big time , i still believe these guys are going to repeat there success as for West Siberian etc etc , i would expect to reach at least double this price...well lets hope so , just my opinion and Ive lost lots so dont follow me.
the 9 's ?
Interactive Investor are willing to trade these shares for me , but will charge £50 plus normal dealing fees ! Think I will have to wait a bit longer for any decent returns..
did anyone get any money from this company ?
Crude me too. I have the princely sum of £151.82 . All go into SDX. Debt free 50m in the bank multiple income streams that are increasing. Currency issues sorted and 11 drills in Morocco. HL will deal in Matra shares over the phone but after various deductions I ll have enough to fill my car.
£180...........man that Barsky chap has wiped me out! Only glad that I had £2K & not £20k. It is immaterial & of little consequence as my Sound Energy profits completely dwarf my MTA losses! Cheers fellas..........Crude
dagers, you are right.............I still haven't got the hang of this Swedish thing. Oh well......looks like another trade gone to investment! Cheers.........Crude
