I have taken a speculative punt. Who knows, i may be receiving a lot more of these if it becomes the vehicle for an ORPH spin off.
My initial concern surrounded the potential for significant dilution, but i am reassured on the basis that CF (via his investment co) have pumped a heck of a lot more than me into this company. My guess is that they havent done it for no reason, or with the expectation of losing money.
One of the blindest investments i have ever made. Could turn out great. Could turn out to be a foolish decision. If it goes south then i will only be risking a small stake and will see it as a learning experience.
Very much a punt, but actually quite exciting :-) its like buying a mystery box. Who knows what's inside...
.... "Orphans" that have jumped on board following the breadcrumbs left by CF and Raglan Road Investment :-)
Took a few this morning as a punt.... selling a few under performing TILS....
Let's see how this unfolds.... could be quite a ride.. GLA
Couldn't resist - too many good guys in MOGP !
up 10%.....
Probably yesterday’s big buyers don’t want to loose momentum and get extra cash with buisness what they want to bring. Like” first on motorway”. Later everything will calm down with new arrivals.
Also seen this..
SPACs are seeing a lot of promising media attention at the moment.
Follow the TR1’s.
Lse ceo
On Bloomberg lose ceo spacs are coming
Any thoughts on if we will gap up to open given the volume?
I wouldn't personally sell orph to buy here. I used a little extra funds, though I appreciate its all money at the end of the day
Pop in the open Orphan BB ....maybe something to it.
"It is the intention of the board to commence the process of identifying suitable acquisition targets immediately.
", , is the line from yesterday's RNs that caught my attention
Spac companies are heading for a surge, this share and SNT are both positioned perfectly to go 40-50 x there current price, i don't think given the spac boom coming thats unrealistic at all
*your
Mark, u seem to know you s*it.. help me please. Would it be of any benefit for me to sell some ORPH to get a few here? Or is that robbing peter? Like if u had 20k in orph would you take maybe 2k out and put it here?
I think AO misses the point about SPACs filling a massive void between IPO and Private Equity hence why they boomed in the US and globally. It's about time the UK caught up.
Why wouldn’t they, direct and to the point, worth buying for name alone! Think it’s found it’s price for the moment at .3, the only way is up!
Josh-another good thing is that there is almost half the number shares here than there is in RDGC, so this could be a good ride!
Why have they voted to name the company UK SPAC PLC ?
I must say that does sound exciting!
NewsIN BRIEF: Mountfield set to become UK SPAC PLC after shareholder vote
apologies if everyone else knows this but i only bought in this afternoon , and f thought the business end of things had not yet been decided. Antone got anything else?
https://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/news/AN_1614786036413594900/in-brief-mountfield-set-to-become-uk-spac-plc-after-shareholder-vote.aspx
This from the 14th February and in the RNS . I read this that Mountfield will transform from a cash shell into a Specialized UK SPAC company, an investment company . Does anyone else read this that that is what its business will be about - UK SPACS investment.
https://www.lse.co.uk/news/MOGP/mountfield-sells-operating-arms-plans-fund-raise-to-become-cash-shell-uvcawhiqedd1a62.html
"Following its transition to a cash shell, Mountfield intends to change its name to UK Spac PLC, a special resolution to approve this change will also be proposed as soon as possible after the deal completes. Spac refers to a special-purpose acquisition company, an increasing popular vehicle for new listings, particularly in the US markets."
One of the early TR1 holders of RDGC too..
Found this, seems Richard holds Vela too.

All the ducks will have been lined up long before now as will have any acquisition or RTO. The chairman with his 10% has stayed on, new directors appointed within 10 minutes so we can expect an announcement soon IMO. Who knows what it will be and where the sp may go - no doubt a bit higher than we are now.
Overhang looks done to me
