Financial services regulator , I think the dropping of the bitcoin jar is a disappointing outcome especially the lost revenue from the transactional fees, I too am disappointed with the launch, but not enough to sell at a loss yet. I’d like to see what the market makes of the launch and where the sentiment lies with mode in the short term. I hope the dropping of the BTC jar was to gain approval from the financial services regulator to encourage bigger retailers to get on board, which potentially offers far greater revenue streams than the bitcoin jar, but time will tell.
Yeah I sold out at breakeven, not because I saw this coming but just decided that 1) They were exposed to the volatility of crypto. and 2) It's going to be a long time before they get any real momentum with retailers. and 3) They weren't being very transparent with numbers.
Now, I could of said all this a week ago, my beef today is with the BTC jar being dropped. As a regular user it has p*ssed me off and there's no point in me keeping my BTC there and certainly won't be adding anymore there. So I'm a customer and thats my opinion.
Maybe I'm not the only customer feeling that way, maybe as shareholders what the customers think of Mode might be of interest. Good night
I have to agree with some of the earlier posts, the launch was RUBBISH today and a lot of PI’s have been sat on their hands for a while waiting for this, @New Dawn if you sold last week fair play, I got slightly spiked and I’ve been sat underwater for a while, hopefully we can get a bit of a rise in the coming weeks and we can rerate a little. What’s important now is what mode can deliver in the short term regarding potential revenue streams, I still think we will get a small rise in the coming days once the market has digested the news, good luck to you all.
Lol 'the smart money sold out' such a wind up - board is full of absolute wind bags this evening.
Now now chaps, play nicely.
Patience is required here - potential is still huge in the payments services sector.
GLA
Just changed it, thanks beautiful
"Im planning to buy some shares in mode tomorrow, Their not showing on the barclays app, could someone be so kind and explain why not.
Thanks."
Mate, questions like the above say it all. Time to go for a nappy change.
But New_Dawn, have you sold out? I'm not convinced you have. I need to hear it one more time just to be certain.
You come across like a right ******** mate, fair play. Now chops on about my post history knob lol
LMFAO, sweating are we ? You can always tell the people that are deep in the red on a share, so much hate for anyone else that had greater foresight than themselves.
Just think it’s far too early to judge - mode journey is still at the start. Bags of potential - no point flapping at this point. Still got the us listing to happen - feel like the yanks would get this type of business a lot more then the uk
Please tell us again how you have sold out though. It is so interesting to read over and over.
You could try offering an opinion on a stock, that's if you've ever owned one ? Looking at your post history you seem to get off on criticising others posts! I was a shareholder of Mode and I've used them regularly for months, so I'll have my say thanks and if you've got a problem with that..... be seeing you!
No worries, but have you sold out? I don't think you have mentioned it today
Nah mate, I'll do and say exactly what I want thanks, how about you mind your own.
It's not an an airport New_Dawn, you don't have to announce your departure. You have sold out so just move on with a bit of grace.
Seriously though... :) Why is the pastel baseball cap £5 more than the black baseball cap ? I was wondering which one to buy until I realised that I don't want one and I never will!
Sold all my shares over a week ago, in the process of moving BTC out of the BTC jar and ready to sell. Not impressed with any of it. I've been accumulating BTC and paying Mode their fees on the basis that whilst I hodl I can get 5%
If I'd thought after 3 months it would be cut to zero I would have used a proper exchange instead. This is EXACTLY why defi is needed to stop stunts like that.
Agreed Nightye, whilst this payment launch was not quite what I had hoped for this is nascent fin tech and the Hut Group clearly liked what we offer and that gives me confidence. I don’t know why they didn’t just stick with the Bitcoin jar as well…..
Odd decision but will continue to hold
I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt for the rest of the year, it's very early on to be too judging. Jr has alot of skin in this so he will very much want this too succeed!
Over promised and under delivered. How many times did they claim they had merchants on board? Where are they?
As I said guile had high hopes for this one. Are you going to tell me now you were happy with the launch?
Mazmet: 24 Jun 2021 16:38 'Dead in the water this one I fear'
Then I guess you should sell all your shares right? oh wait:
Mazmet: 10 Mar 2021 11:02 'First bought at 59p watched it sail to over 80p within days, no intention of selling as I can see £1.50 by end of q2. Averaged down Fri and happy to hold for the larger gains.'
Only a few days until the end of Q2..!
I'm out. Good luck, hope it works out.
It is nothing more than a poor rehash of the tesco club card, the difference being you can actually buy something you want from tesco. I had great hopes for this one but that ain't a launch that was a panic decision to launch any old crap before deadline in the hope it would buy them more time whilst they frantically rush around trying to actually get a merchant onboard
Who in Mode is packing these items? The CEO?
