I’ll just hold for now have some spare funds no need rush no point giving free money up and you never no if another bid does appear.
Wondering if it’s worth waiting one more day? ie NYSE is closed today. When they re open tomorrow, would that have a positive effect on sp?
TIA
Well done and congratulations to all here.Either way everyone’s a winner.

Bill Gates investment vehicle...Cascade Investment, L.L.C They lost out last year on the acquisition of UK listed aviation logistics firm Signature Aviation plc...that is the only other party that could move quickly...next two weeks are touch and go...Im holding.
I’m tempted to sell half and hold half…..
A major shareholder may not agree to sell...this is not over yet...
or another party offer...
Any educated guesses on how long these type of deals take to go through? Weeks or months?
Thanks NotFaintAtHeart, I think I’ll sell once it hits 600p
and start searching for a new investment. I’m sure some will go into topping up my RR holding.
@TomBeef - I think MNZS disclosed in the RNS that the offer is not final - though for all intents and purposes it can be considered as such, for NAS has said its their highest price, and the board has unanimously agreed to accept it.
However, per the RNS - NAS reserves the right to increase the price should a White Knight appear with a firm offer. Equally NAS reserves the right to lower the price should MNZS declare a dividend, whitewash transaction etc
Just to confirm, I have read the RNS. Although are Menzies basically confirming this is now sold at 608p? Is this now a done deal at this price?
I tend to sell and move on to the next opportunity. I assume this will trade slightly under the agreed price at about 600-605p range, better off selling rather than waiting months for a slightly higher final price in my opinion.
With the news that the board will unanimously recommend the offer of 608 per share - do you feel there's much value left in holding?
It might take months for the deal to materialise - which in itself has opportunity cost.
The only real driver I can see for holding is the hopes of a white knight...
What are your thoughts?
Sale agreed at 608!

I hold around 18 stocks atm having now just sold my indv shares for the second time after having another good run up.Thinking off doubling down on my elm holding off only 2000 shares before results.Think they have only started there recovery after a good trading update have good inflation protection growth prospects and if these don’t start delivering share performance someone again will have another pop at these.

This is a hostile takeover.

This is like a series of Succession!
700p plus before March 9th!!!!!
win win for all MNZS holder!
I'm considering Evraz for next week, much depends on the Russia / Ukraine threat. Perhaps it will slide a little further next week - fingers crossed!
@convb,as said by another poster here, thanks for your detailed explanations.I’m still new to the market and wishing to learn as well as making money.
Have a good and safe weekend all.
If NAS do not have 51% secured at 605p (which they do not) the only defence they have to being held ransom is to dump their 19% and tank sp short term.
However a low share price does not affect the business operations and would allow entry of a white knight.
They are snookered. Get the popcorn and watch the MNZS board maul them with the ransom and sp go above 700p before March 9th.
Thank you for your clear and concise resume of situation, We MNZS share holders are in a win win situation. A Very large profit if , and a big IF, bid succeeds or remain share holders in a profitable and successful company.
Best wishes to all
Anyone looking to invest in the above ?
@andsoforth, true.Let’s hope it’s a good outcome whatever happens.I’m going to read up about SNR now, thanks.
Don't forget, MNZS isn't a done deal yet though. Far from it!
SNR is interesting. Takeover offered last year at 200. Now in a better state, and trading sub-150. Making a much reduced profit, but has a nice niche business. Decent contracts recently won, and positive FCF. Update last month sees full year in line. Has £80m debt (12% of mcap) and a pension deficit, but these are not unsurmountable.
