Royal Mail is currently being played down again. I reckon it will be over 5 quid again within a year (3.30 now). I doubled my money on Royal Mail during Covid and I am aiming to repeat or come close again.
Rolls Royce as the comment above. My guess is that I will spike above at least 1.40 a couple of times before Christmas from a pound today.
Brilliant Tommy, thats put a smile on my face, it was alway a littel winner. Get aome Rolls shares now, nucelar play is going to be looking great really soon!
All sold up here too. My best investment ever - from £1 to £6. AMAZING!
Top sliced a couple of times along the way, as bagging some profits seemed the sensible thing to do. Still, massive gains here....well played everybody!! :-)
Now....where to invest the proceeds. Any good ideas anyone?
All sold up, an amazing investment.
Convb your optimism encouraged me to top up a few times and stick with it - many thanks
Obviously I did my own research as well; I loved the Menzies store in Leatherhead as a kid :)
I don't want to hold until Q3 for only 2% extra but I am wondering if it is worth waiting a couple of weeks in case of a rival bid, perhaps sell half my holding and hedge my bets.
Im all out at 592...well done all...what a ride from 90p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done to all. Especially those who held on when it dropped early this month.
Now is a good time to sell. or keep if you want to those last 2-3 %
Amongst all volatility this one has come to a great ending !
Darren, a bidding war would be exciting. Although I am more than content with the >100% increase in my holding I only started buying in 2020. This has been by far my luckiest investment to date.
Shareholders will accept the offer, question is will another bidder be pushed into action now?
Shareholders still need to vote...should open well
Awesome, well done to all those that held out.
It could take a while to receive the money though : " The Acquisition is currently expected to complete during the third quarter of 2022"
Great news . Deal done.
late morning...11ish
RNS tomorrow after close or in the morning, do we think?
In the middle of a war and we are at 570p...deal is goign ahead.
Anyone heard any rumours? There has been limited trading activity this month. Is that a good sign?
Nearly there , ……
Your bottom must be twitching for Wednesday :)))))
Gatwick Airport, south of London, is set to welcome thousands more passengers every day in the summer, with numbers reaching pre-pandemic levels, bosses predict.
The Sussex airport has reopened its south terminal, with flights increasing from around 300 to 570 a day from Sunday.
The move is the equivalent to opening a medium-sized airport overnight, meeting the expected high demand for summer travel this year.
Chief Executive Stewart Wingate said 80,000 passengers will travel through the airport on Sunday, reaching "well over 150,000 per day" by July.
He told the PA news agency: "We've had a lot of restrictions over the last two years associated with the pandemic.
