Yeah, peeved I have to wait for the new ISA allowance to be allocated in order for it to make best sense to add to the LTH..
Higher for longer rates good for M&G
Making lots of cash from annuities atm
I think we’ll recover slowly over the coming days so an easy 3-5% profit to be made plus 8% dividend next 12 months
Certainly beat the fixed rate ISAs right now
Attracted by the yield so creamed off a bit from other winners and started a holding here in ISA. As interest rates fall this SP should rise and since I am not in the bloom of youth (!) dividends matter,8% yield not to be sniffed at!
Trek the div is 13.2p this year. This time last year it was 13.4p.
I'd intended to add more but better to wait now.
The drop is exactly right for ex-d valuation.
Forgot to say we also are up for payment from DEC divi today which would fund a new purchase of MNG at a good price
ATB Robsky
It is difficult to second guess the market Trek I tend to buy on ex divi day on the drop then sell some after the clawback while increasing overall holding and still having divi to play with or withdraw to help fund the purchase on the ex day, it worked very well from last year ATB
Robsky
13.5p divi 13.3p drop.
Last time I seem to recall the drop was way higher than the divi but it did claw its way back/
Of course it would be different this time as I was going to add a few after the divi!
Keep guessing eh!
Usual caveats
Trek
Ex dividend
What's for the drop
: /
So we had better brace ourselves for the drop then, let's hope it's not too painful
& a few more.
“SP must have been affected DLGs retrace today though ?”
The whole market seems to be in reverse today.
Totally agree with that M in that SP will drop to Divi Level...but it would be good if it crept up before Thursday as Divi Chasers move in
SP must have been affected DLGs retrace today though ?
“Seems to good to be true that a 5% Divi is due on Thurs”
Unfortunately, it is.
The dividend will be paid on 9 May.
28 Mar is the ex-dividend day - it means that anyone who holds the shares at the close of trading on 27 Mar will get the dividend.
Don’t be surprised that the share price will drop on 28 Mar when it will be trading ex (without) its dividend.
In theory it’ll drop by the amount of the dividend.
Thanks Paul and Meconpsis..Seems to good to be true that a 5% Divi is due on Thurs
It is mng funds, not mng plc
The other way around. MNG has 3% of DLG.
I struggle to understand these Form thingies but is this DLG having a 3% interest in MNG
Gino, well corrected, typed that post whilst eating breakfast, before rushing to work.....I was expecting Glencore to cut the divi, but not by 75%, at least MNG have kept theirs as previous....not a bad day all round.
LivintheDream - your 08:00 - 'Glencore cut their divi by near 75%' - NO! You are a shareholder, they cut YOUR divi by near 75%!
Good evening robleo, good to hear that you managed to make a little profit from Lloyds. I did buy back a little when it fell to 43ish, but sold too early at around 46ish pence, silly me. That's the bad thing about triggers happy. Should be 1 and half k in profit now if I held on to my shares instead of 500 something. Well, at least I did bank a little profit. 😁😁😁
Have a very good evening mate and good luck. Let's bring on tomorrow.
Good evening Trigger happy. A.K.A sidi lol, A very good day, hope those sales work out well for you, I don't have a large holding here, so was thinking if it should drop back to the 1.90s i will probably add more, hoping to sell some of lgen before exdiv, but waiting to see how high it can go, good thing is i finally managed to sell off some of my Lloyds shares at a profit @ 51.55 it's been a very long wait to get them into profit, let's hope the upward trend can continue
best of luck
