I'm struggling with that Silver, all delays to date have been down to Malawi and not management.
If you step back and review they have quite successfully forked the strategy into recycling to ensure they are not a one trick pony. This is revenue generating now. Imagine what the so would be without that?
I appreciate you invested for the mine but it has been out of MKAs hands.
I think as you know that this is a cracking investment, moreso now than a few years ago to be honest. MDA will land and it will be a bonus if REE continues its rise over the next few years.
Topped-up courtesy of SILJ.
Given how much of his own money he's thrown at it that would be like firing Elon Musk mate.
Results are due by May so I am sure that will be the next update outside of additionsl RNS (MDA).
What would you like the review outcome to be Silver?
Likely depends on the Songwe buyout numbers being floated under their noses by the US DoD (or mates of) ...
How long does one of those take anyway?
Right on cue for the new ISA/tax year - Neodymium reacting too and out of the multi-year Descending Wedge - up 8.5% on the day.
Keep em peeled chaps:

China doubles price of rare metal to £454 a kg as world panics there's not enough of it.
today gallium, perhaps one day not to distant in the future another RE like Neodymium ....

There's a whiff in the air! :) The trouble is we have had so many 'this must be it!' moments that we have to be a little suspicious of the Malawi Gov and that this may again turn out to be just more of their BS....
Still, I'm ever the optimist and I don't think MKAs problem is the Ministry of Mining I think it is other parts of the Malawi Gov which is why seeing the President attending this event is a positive sign that something may well get pushed over the line
Fingers toes and everything else crossed....

I have a Ghanaian friend who talks about GMT meaning "Ghana maybe time". I thing Malawi are in the same zone
Almost as if Boris Johnson wrote it. "Stay at home, don't stay at home. Go to school, DONT go to school"
That all sounds gobbledygook to me. No wonder nothing gets signed off.
Ahead of this next forum for yet more mining "discussions", here's a quote for Monica and the Ministry of Mining, from Nassim Taleb's Skin in the Game:
"For it will always remain that action without talk supersedes talk without action. Those who talk should do and only those who do should talk"
Let's see some MDAs. Producing one before the forum would help get people's attention.
Hopefully they will get it signed before Malawi 2063 concludes
What was the last investment they got? Rio took a 15% stake in Sovereign but they haven't put any money into Malawi as of yet as far as I am aware?
Nearly 2 years from first time ministry said the MDA was close with MKA. The ministry needs to be careful that MKA don't lose interest for magnet recycling ;-)
Still determined to have themselves a mining industry :)
'Ministry of Mining Malawi with Hon Monica Chang'anamuno - Minister of Mining.
Malawi to Host The Inaugural Malawi Mining Investment Forum
Ministry of Mining is excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative to host the first-ever Mining Investment Forum in Malawi at the Bingu wa Mutharika International Convention Centre (BICC), from April 23 to April 24, 2024 under the theme “Transforming the Nation through Sustainable Mineral Extraction".
This Forum will serve as a platform for industry leaders, stakeholders, and experts to come together and discuss the future of mining in our country.
Making the announcement in Lilongwe at the Ministry’s headquarters, Minister of Mining Monica Chang’anamuno MP, said one of the highlights of this forum is the presence of our esteemed President, H.E. Dr. Lazorus McCarthy Chakwera who will join us to share his vision and insights on the importance of the mining sector in driving economic growth and development in Malawi.
“We believe that this forum will catalyze discussions, foster collaborations, and pave the way for innovative strategies that will shape the future of mining in our nation. We are committed to creating a conducive environment for investment in the mining sector and we look forward to fruitful deliberations at the upcoming forum,” Chang’anamuno said.
The Theme of the Forum is underpinning the importance of the mining sector to the national development agenda as outlined in the Malawi 2063 Vision and further expounded through the Agriculture, Tourism and Mining (ATM) Strategy.
Looking forward to Hypromag's progress reports this year. To see some detail, meat on the bone. Sales figures, volumes, specs, profits, projections etc.
JT's super enthusiastic comment that 3000 magnets have already been produced in Tyseley suggests it's proceeding apace. That equates to about 1000 a month so far. I assume it's the smaller magnets only atm, eg for consumer electronics (and maybe for those robotic arms for gall bladder removal tweezers)!
I get the strong impression Hypromag leads the space by some distance. Hiron a bit limited perhaps.
'In the UK, the University of Birmingham has developed a method for extracting rare earth alloys from old electric motors and computer hard drives, for example.
A spin out company, HyProMag, has now successfully extracted rare earths using the technology, and aims to begin commercial production of magnets using such material later this year.'

I wouldn't be surprised if we also don't end up having some form of commercial tie-up with Bunting beyond the current research one
To us in this article but nice to see more coverage and HyproMag getting the message out

“Recycling is on everyone’s agenda: you cannot have strategic minerals like rare earths getting lost in landfill,” Dawes said.'
'Since dismantling is a costly and energy-intensive process, Dawes said, HyProMag’s “big solution” is the separation process resulting in magnet powder, which has lower costs and a lower carbon footprint compared with both long loop hydrometallurgical recycling processes and conventional mine-to-magnet production.'
The two 50k trades look like Bed and Isa/Sipp type trades, which are often put through well below the sell price. I was dummy selling at 6.8 at the time.
That's the intention
Nice article on the various processes for RE Magnet recycling.
You can see why HyProMag will be the chosen method for short loop recycling

Timing and price suggests it was a buy not a sell?
Where is the stock over 6.8p to pay for £23K? (350K)
So someone sells 100K at 6.5p and on barely any volume an hour later someone gets 350K out at a much higher price?
