Mka never said by the end of the year, they have never given a timeline.
Malawi gov set the date, they also suggested the same a year ago.
It is closer than ever though. Just be patient and lock these away for a long term view.
Although the MDA is not everything with this company, I’m a tad surprised there has been no update from the company. A one liner would do but not to have anything is a poor show if you ask me. Let’s hope we get something next week.
Agree crumbs
They've got SH to look after as well, although their SP has performed much better than ours over the last 12 months (2/4 of their investments have already multibagged, one by 25 fold)
I am sure they will do the same with ours
The purchasing of the 3 reactors pretty much tells me that Cotec are SUPER confident in getting GOV or other funding in the US :)
Shocked to see #MKA back under 10p, really should be at least double
Another fantastic opportunity for those who are not currently invested, or those who are and have spare cash
The US project is storming ahead, with three reactors already purchased by Cotec
As for the UK project, in ~6 months we could be looking at scaling to 100t/pa and in 12 months potentially on the road to 1000/tpa (with multiple offtakes)
For those who like a spike in share price, what would happen to the valuation here if we signed an offtake with say Apple for example?

@biffa - they announced the £30-£50m in September:

Yeah, the AIM ones do not give me much confidence in the system, I am inclined to agree with you.
Fingers crossed.
But it may bode extraordinarily well here.
AIM mafia mate - it is known.
The boss signs off on all RNS's. No great fan of NOMAD's (although some are far better than others), but you cannot blame them if the RNS was lacking any material at the point of release. They could always add an updated RNS if they wanted to.
Perhaps the tweet was a belated effort to add this meat to the bone, although I have not seen the tweet in question, so will take your word for it, biffa.
I have got no 'feel' for the chart here at the moment in either direction; obviously it would be good to get back above the 50 DMA and the 200, but that is hardly charting excellence :)
That'll be the NOMAD.
Perhaps it's time we got in touch with the FCA.
Mkango put out a tweet, alongside yesterdays news saying the following,
'Cotec to fund 100% of costs for a 50% interest with expected funding of £30M - £50M'
Can anyone explain why this wasn't in the RNS!
Basically the USA operations are worth our market cap alone and then some, without any need of direct funding from MKA.
Pretty sure the price would have gone up if they had got their comms in order.
Morning.
Interesting stop-hunt yesterday then.
News drop en route?
I see I missed a bit of pile on earlier. One of your colleagues backing you up perhaps?
You certainly both seem to approach these chat boards in a remarkably similar fashion, from your respective posting histories.
If anyone apart from you two cares to waste their time exploring mine, I am confident that they will not conclude that I am a 'manipulative trader'. But I suspect you both know this already.
Meanwhile, and back on topic, we have been punished today due to the lack of clarity on company financing arrangements for 2024 and general market sentiment on wider overbought technicals, IMO.
US Fed minutes shortly will IMO influence the short term direction of travel across the indices.
I set a buy order this afternoon that did not get filled. Depending on the above, I may (or may not) get it locked in tomorrow.
We all have the same aim here. And life is too short to waste on trivial nonsense. Let's all play nicely eh, or at least be civil. GLA.
:)
Before that he was calling it the 'battery stuff'. I let that go a few times too before I eventually had to correct him. Doesn't even seem to know what he's (allegedly) invested in.
LWHL - Love how you clearly have technical knowledge of the company 'magnet stuff'
You're just a manipulative trader
Yeah, not as tedious as the daily instalments of your mental breakdown though. Save that for your therapist, I've actually held off saying anything, but everyone's got their limits. You've been abusing people's patience and goodwill here for too long now.
The 'free speech absolutist' shtick is boring too. Just makes you sound like a silly little Musk fanboy.
And by your posts, your personality is clear to see also.
At least my posts are relevant to this company and in the spirit of what these chat boards are for.
Personal attacks on posters who are not 'on point' are tedious, but as a free speech absolutist, go right ahead as far as I am concerned.
We've heard it all before though. No need to repeat the same thing every day. You sound like a conspiracy nutter anyway though, so your opinion isn't really valid.
Funding concerns are valid and should not be dismissed. Any good bb requires balance and variety of views. We don't need sheep, we had enough of those in the pandemic
The more people mugged into selling shares at just above the 8p floor the better :)
HNY BTW :)
LWHL, why would you think we care about what you do with your 'trading pot'?
Do as you like with it, but it's of no relevance to the company and of no interest to the people here, so please spare us the constant updates about it. Same as your tediously repetitive 'concerns'. We don't need to be constantly told about your mental state. It gets rather depressing after a while. Cheers.
Looks like the market agrees with the 'show me the money' sentiment.
Although in fairness, most of the market movers are not back at their desks until next week, so that might be a better time to make a short term judgement on the SP direction of travel.
Anyway, GLA while we continue to await the news that matters - black and white financing, and MDA conclusion.
Not at all. I will be delighted if they confirm a funding deal that is not poor for existing investors. The proof in the pudding etc. Same for the never ending story of 'ongoing talks' re Songwe.
I guess on an anon chat board it is difficult to see sometimes if a poster is being genuine or trying to 'buy in cheaper'.
All I can say is I am not playing any games with my words/opinions, which you can choose to believe, or not.
And I do remain hopeful that the geopolitical importance of this will ensure a good funding arrangement.
But like I said yesterday, I have been around this space too long and been burned too often, to blindly trust any company.
