Interesting possibilities. Im waiting fore sub10 before buying in. I suggest you do the same.
Thanks mate. Fingers crossed! Had a couple of dreadful updates from two of my other AIM holdings recently, so it would be nice to get one right again :)
LWHL, good timing mate, IMO you'll do well from these levels.. there's nothing but good news coming here on out.
I have been watching this one for some time, but never pulled the trigger. As a result, I missed a couple of good trades. While I can appreciate many were unhappy with the recent raise (at least at the price in question), I like the inside buying that took place outside of the placing. I also like the risk/reward as things stand too. It might be the kiss of death now I have finally taken the plunge, so be warned :)

The BOD probably had no idea how long the MDA granting was going to drag otherwise yes I agree would have been better to raise at 25p but it is done now and it needed to be done the dilution at this stage is not so bad... onwards
some enjoy a good reaming. I do not. to each his own
Don't know how long you've been invested in the company silvermaple, but I'm assuming it's not that long, this coming from someone who's invested over 9 years in the company and watched it mature to where it is today. This small raise to move things along is nothing in comparison to other companies that have enforced their foundations by continuous raises and fortify ridiculous BoD salaries and unwarranted bonuses. MKA and by definition the BoD here have been juggling a few balls all whilst linked with strings and have secured HNW's including the likes of CoTec and Germany to secure part funds of this REE emerging empire. Let's not even talk about the Jones group involvement from the American side of things!
You are clearly misaken if you believe the BoD here is taking you for a ride, and if you believe otherwise, my advice is you jump ship for the betterment of your own mind bud!
but for them to relentlessly walk it down over the past year to where they could do it at 12 ...... it's a slap in the face and a kick in the nuts. after all these years we are back at 12p. wake up people

I think Lemon's quote here still reflects the current MDA position. Hopefully MDA is imminent therefore but I suppose the main question for now is whether the international lawyers find something Malawi want to renegotiate.
Gentlemen, gentlewomen, Mining Development Authority is literally around the corner, with final creases being ironed out, of that there's no doubt! This is a company that doesn't do placings unnecessarily at all. It's a tightly run ship with funds only raised for working capital and funding the simultaneous connected projects, bringing them to fruition.
The company is bringing patented Hypromag, part German funded, into near-time production, with a Processing plant in Poland also in the pipeline. It's my belief, (and that of many others), that the financing is already in place but cannot be announced as trimming will have to be done based on the final MDA outlay.
Why is the MDA taking a bit of time?... Well it's also our belief that Mr. Dawes is standing firm on the grounds that is beneficial for shareholders after all the due diligence the company has carried out over the years, (YEARS ffs). Of course we're dealing with an African nation, albeit the nicest and friendliest of African nations, but still they will want something that is in more favour for them. The Govt., at the same time is torn between the fact they they need to generate serious interest from outside investors and thereby need to show they are able to be worked with and with co-operation...and lining their own pockets. On that note, they have shown seriousness in elimination the 'lining of the palm' syndrome by re-instating anti-corruption ministers with serious over-sight by the Americans.
With Chinese - Americans tensions again reaching fever-pitch levels, the American collaboration element is even more serious now in eliminating Chinese reliance globally in rare earths...and consequently technology.
Rest assured you're invested in a company that will VERY shortly be very many multiples of current Market Cap with more fingers than one hand can have in as many pies all devoted to bringing forward one of the biggest REE processing facilities to production on more than one Continent, at a time when REE prices and requirements are reaching heights never before seen on an industrial and technological scale.
The current placing is a short term ailment, but was a needed one, and I have no doubt the cash is being used wisely by one of the most sensible Board of Directors I personally have ever seen in the market, not just in AIM, but throughout sectors and financial tiers.
Good luck to all...and I seriously wouldn't want to be out for the weekend for this company at it's current stage!
Ha! I thought that was a bit fecking random. Painful to see this fester down here. I think this is such an interesting company but absolutely nothing is set in stone until Malawi give us the go ahead. And frankly that is still uncertain. Just imagine trying to do a deal of this size in Africa. If they get it over the line we all deserve the rewards.
I believe it was a reference to Will.i.am Dawes. The next big star
Has Will.I.am bought into Mkango??
All the matched trades obviously to do with the placing. Majority of the market orders are buys, just not pushing the price up. Hopefully the churn will be done soon.
And the people buying millions?? Including Will.I.am, who you would suspect knows a bit more than us.
don't think the people dumping millions of shares at 12 and 13p the last couple of days see it that way
sorry WITHOUT QUESTION MARK
"We look forward to the Mining Licence and MDA being approved in the coming weeks."
In the RNS of nearly 3 weeks ago of the ESHIA Approval for Songwe was stated "We look forward to the Mining Licence and MDA being approved in the coming weeks?"
The MDA could land any days now and that is true game changer for this company, I wonder how many Institutional Investors MKA might be able to attract both in Europe and in the USA, I guess time will tell...
Churn baby churn, disco inferno!
There's always churn following a placing - we'll know when it's over ;)
What I find frustrating is that we have seem so many large buys on the Ask and the price doesn't move up, then we get a couple of small sells and the price immediately drops. Usually a buying spree as per the last couple of days would have sent this climbing up fairly rapidly. May be an indication that there are a few shares floating around as a result of the placing. Once cleared this will be free to move upwards.
Seems to have put in a bottom and finished strong yesterday
Seems like we have settled at 13p for now
I agree with Myles comments that we should seriously consider an FSP for Songwe, the current market attributable value is ~£15m GBP which is absolutely absurd, as Myles states a company with twice a larger mine (and further down the road) is trading at $1.3bn, even a tenth of that price for Songwe is not out of the question
I suppose the answer is why not do this beforehand so we didn't have to raise, but we really need the MDA, as per comments in this thread, if an investor wont touch us without an MDA then you can be certain nobody will buy us without an MDA, plus it unlocks astronomical value, much more than the 10% dilution from the placing
Therefore a plan I would be happy with
- FSP songwe for a minimum of £100m GBP (~39p) Obv I think it is worth much more but for the sake of this post being quick and simple lets just go with that, people reading this will think how ridiculous SP is 13p and you are saying 39p for Songwe, but 39p is way below market value, you try buying a mine for less! (look at peers etc.)
We already have the German plant fully funded, and the UK plant, the proceeds would therefore go towards the following:
1. Special dividend to reward LTH and management
2. Scale up US operations and pilot plants globally, with auto manufacturers
3. Co-invest in US RE tech (and above) with Cotec as JV partner (we need to do more with these guys they are truly big players)
4. Rebrand as a RE technology company / critical mineral technology company
5. Take a larger stake in HyProMag (group or subsidiaries)
6. list the group on the NYSE when the market is healthier
The company would revalue post FSP with a serious cash position and focus primarily on NT projects with HyProMag, 2-3 years ago we had to wait years for this but now they are all near term, with UK in H2 2023 and Germany in 2024
Just my musings, probaby change my mind tomorrow but this MDA has dragged on for so long and cost us so much money, I am partly just hoping once we get it we move on and focus on the blue sky tech
WD bought shares yesterday which suggests he feels similar
after kicking all long term investors in the balls with that 12p raise dawes had no choice but to pony up a bit of the salary he's been collecting for years to buy on the open market. but don't feel to bad for him, he will be given many more bonus shares and options before all is said and done. shameful raise at 12
