Hi TheT,
Nice to see you joining the discussion :)
I totally agree funding is a major issue & so far the company has done itself no favours in that regard by being so late to
1) get its annual report out for 31st December yet were able to give the 2 headline numbers before 24th Jan.
2) Provide some sort of monthly metric that would show the growth's there achieving to investors.
I don't think the issue is holding back new investors though because there are none, because the company to date has been so low profile with regard to investor engagement its crazy. The investor section of the company website confirms it with stuff that is just way out of date, ie 2 or 3 years old etc.
Even if we had the end of March bank balance & quarterly revenue number we'd be able to project how far into the future the company is currently funded for. The business plan had them lasting until 31st August, although the end of December numbers would indicate that, that has been extended a bit, but personally I think the opposite will have happened, that cap-ex has increased to bring the new content providers & programmatic offering online quicker. Hence the need for those numbers.
Totally agree the company is in play & even at £100M I'd say it was still in play.
I think there is a lot of news to come out before the end of May.
Tonight I was watching CNBC & one of there outside contributors was going on about the significant increase in digital advertising spend in the USA that has just occurred & they believe it is only the start of it.
If they do need to raise cash they maybe able to do it another way (as I have tried to point out before ) rather than an equity raise.

Well TheT would you top up here are not
that is the 24bn $ question!!
when you read this: "according to research from radicle, vpp in feature-length films and tv shows in the u.s. will be worth $6.6 billion in 2023, accounting for nearly two-thirds (63%) of the u.s. product placement market" (many thanks for the link cab*****) and with all the deals and tie-ups mirriad have secured, it seems incongruous that the company has a market cap of c. £8m?!?
my take on this, for what it's worth, is a serious question mark over a (near-time) funding requirement. there must be a race to get as much revenue in as possible in order to avoid another equity raise, because, make no mistake, at such a low mc, an equity raise of, say, £4m would lead to a serious dilution. i suspect that this is holding back new investors at the moment. should, however, the company announce in a trading update that the company has moved/is moving (with a date) to a cash positive position, i would anticipate that the share price would rocket - if only because it will "come into play". even at 10x the current mc, this would represent loose change for a large ad company and as we know, the potential is absolutely enormous - see quote above.

Now on the blog page

Reading conflicting stuff when it come to when TV-upfronts-2024 is.
I've seen one site say it is held the last week of May, but I've also found this .....
From what I've found so far here are the early ones
The 2024 TV upfront season is well underway! These annual events feature TV networks and digital platforms showcasing their upcoming content and latest innovations to advertisers. Here are some key dates for this year’s upfront presentations:
Netflix Upfront: Scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, May 15th1.
Amazon Upfront: Set for May 14 in New York, where they will tout Prime Video, Freevee, Twitch, Amazon Music, and NFL Thursday Night Football2.
So not sure yet, but I'm sure more details will emerge in time.

Hi 2phevs,
That Philip Mattimoe from the Microsoft picture doesn't look anything the guy in the LinkedIn profile - clearly the LinkedIn pictures is from many years ago
https://uk.linkedin.com/in/philipmattimoe?trk=public_post_reshare-text
He is CTO at Mirriad - which I'm assuming is Chief Technical Officer
A real UK history to him inside the tech environment, Skype, Channel 4, SkyGO, Talktalk
So it's probably a very in depth discussion we'll get to hear once its published.

Hi 2phevs,
Your 1st post on this topic was late afternoon on 10th April, that's over 2 weeks now & nothing more has been said.
So we're now looking at the definition of "Soon" & what that translates into in terms of day's & weeks

Cheers for your reply
ITV lost £1M on its agenda setting drama Mr Bates verses The Post Office !
So they said at the "Voice of the Listener & Viewer spring conference on Wednesday"
I hope Mirriad had someone at the conference & spoke to ITV to tell them help is on the way & that they can increase there revenue stream with virtual placement products that streams will not be able to avoid etc.

Hi saxman303,
You really do ask some hard questions to try & answer !
Wish I had a Crystal Ball :)
I was waiting to see if anyone came & posted that they had bought the 1M+ bundle yesterday but no-one has, so it doesn't look like it was anyone posting/reading here that did that trade.
I'm not sure about the 2 trades today at 8:20:04 I think it is either an error & both shouldn't be there or at least 1 shouldn't be counted. All the rest of todays large trades I would say are sells the 10,989 & the 3 x 2,415 are buys.
Someone clearly wants to sell & there even prepared to take 1.72p for them, it could be M&G or it could simply be an individual who has got sick of waiting on good news equalling a re-rating of the shares.
There is currently so little trading going on its hard to sell or buy without really moving the share price. But they don't need to be selling at the moment to keep the price down, if they wanted to do that they'd sell when buying was occurring & that's simply not been the case.
As I posted a while back I would have been happy to buy them at 2.1p we're now at around 1.85p or less to buy, so that's 10% or more below what I thought was a bargain price. I've got my average down to around 2.025p & I will be buying more this week as I've only got 700,000 of my initial 1M target.
I'm glad I've spaced my buys out this time as its given me a much better average price, than just piling in at 2.2xp as it was initially. Knowing that seller is around keeps me hanging off a bit in the hope I get better than my lowest lot of 1.74p on my next batch, but the risk is a RNS comes out & bang I've missed the boat completely :(
I don't think it will take that many buyers to move the price much higher on good news, there aren't any day-traders in the stock looking for a quick 5 - 10%
Hope that helps
Good Luck
LOTM
LOTM-13 DO you think these are all sales and do you think someone wants to keep the price down
Hi Bentley43,
Sadly your 2 days behind with that link! it was on there blog site on Monday.
We continue to just sit & await for the annual report or some other catalyst that shows more insight into how the company is doing or expanding, like the signing of the other 15%+ USA content provider. Or that programmatic has gone live with at least 1 of the 5 content providers on time & is now generating cash & thus the ramp-up of revenue is on its way.
I've noticed a couple of adverts in the UK already where the Olympic games are featuring. That's 3 months ahead of them starting! So it seems to me that advertising spend is on the increase, the question is how much of it Mirriad will be able to capture.
Clearly the seller is not done, but I'm also not finished buying yet either, although I'm only mopping up a fraction of what they are selling.

& on the investor section play the "SHOWREEL" (just above the share price)
Its quite interesting in itself, as to how Mirriad developed the technology in the first place, as it was made for the film industry. After it has played it will give you the chance to view other stuff in the window, the one on the left had side is Mirriad 2024, if you play that & stop it at 20 Seconds in you'll get to see what I was talking about for the Nissan Electric car. How the AI rated everything in the scene & Nissan obviously felt that was part of there target market for the car.
I think at 40 sec in it show C4's First Dates show ........
LOTM
Hi 2phevs,
I was worried you'd done a runner !
Which would have left me dumbfounded with the loss of such a source of information on the company.
The Blogs they are putting out are really useful sources of information, I sometimes gain more information from them 2nd or 3rd time round of reading or viewing.
I'll need to find it again but the one about the breakdown of the scene, with the Car above it a group of guys, where they list the demographics of those in view, clothes, the lot. The amount of AI that must be going on in the background to find the right target scene that fits exactly what the advertiser wants is incredible.
And the latest blog pointing out that there might be 6 to 12 opportunities an hour for the content provider to slot in & earn extra ad revenue just shows the number of possibilities out there for Mirriad to earn revenue from is amazing.
The only bit that is letting them down now is the investor side of things. They need to up there game in that department with actual numbers so that investors can see what's happening in terms of increasing views & product placements month on month & then that turning into growing monthly revenue.

Hi saxman303,
Sadly its really hard for us to tell right now just how well they are doing, we just get to see the tip of the ice berg.
I was & am hesitant to just translate signed deals into near-term revenue, because from past experience with something else that related to apps, it took time to integrate with each of there system, then have it tested, then users test, promotors test it & then you start to see the build-up in numbers & that all takes time.
The advantage this time around with Mirriad is that a lot of the Multi-billion dollar advertisers have already tested the product, they know what a difference it can make to them & I'm sure they are ready to commit much larger sums of money to this form of advertising. However to do that they need the right opportunity that fits there product profile. So I think the hold-up will not be on the advertiser side of things & monetising that. Its getting access to the Content providers library's & the AI building up a comprehensive list of placement opportunities that can then be shown to the various global advertisers.
A lot of the Content providers were signed up mid Nov to early Dec so they've had like 4 months to get the systems aligned, which they've probably done. The next step is the programmatic rather than manual side of the equation. Some of them have been testing/adjusting/enhancing it for nearly 6 months now &only 1 of 5 is meant to be generating revenue for us before the end of June. This is where the real money will be made. So they need to get it right & once it works properly for one it should do the same for the others.
In the meantime they can run these Manual campaigns to keep the revenue flowing in.
The L’Oreal’s Mugler - campaign from October if you read the article, it says lesser known Artists are wanting $40,000 & better known ones up to $0.5M
The other interesting point I noted from that article https://www.nexttv.com/news/mirriad-inserts-virtual-billboard-for-mugler-into-coi-leray-video
is this "Hernandez said she worked with the director of the music video to leave a space open in the shot, and the Mugler billboard with Schafer was inserted digitally." In other words Mirriad did more than just insert the ad in the video, it was involved with the video director before the video was shot, to create the right opportunity for the advertiser.
I'm hoping we get Q1 numbers in along side the annual report to 31st Dec 2023, that would give us sales for the period & the 31st March cash number.
Hopefully we get that other content provider deal over the line soon (but not until we've all topped up!) & that takes us up to well over 50% of the USA market. Once they've captured that then they can look to expand overseas, but I think that is already happening on a much smaller scale due to the overseas assets of those already signed up in the USA.
The product looks idea for just so many things, Auto's, perfumes etc, food & drinks, credit cards to na
Clearly the general market wants figures, it wants to see growing revenues, it wants details on these agreements, it wants insight so it can extrapolate.
Will we get a trading update, or more announcements confirming partnerships with huge Global Companies?
For me, I sense Miri is going for ‘it all’ signing up all the major Companies and will deliver figures once traction is generated.
Rathbones agree, and continue to build whilst they can at these cheap levels.
I sense serious momentum within the next 6 months, I couldn’t guess where the share price will be, but with an indication of potential revenues from 3 big players I’m confident this could be a very tidy investment.
Saxman totally agree..
It's like the cow keeps giving, but has to pay for its own grass.
With all these companies maybe working with Miri do you still think the will be making money or still need to raise money
On a footnote I've managed to find out the Autobrands article was from 28th March 2024
https://blog.mirriad.com/virtual-product-placement-and-brand-awareness
And the https://blog.mirriad.com/virtual-product-placement-in-cultural-events was from 11th March 2024.
This is earlier https://blog.mirriad.com/virtual-product-placement-music-videos - AT&T amongst others although I think its probably from Q4 2023.
