I held 1000 pounds worth of the share. What happened to it after that acquisition? Do I have any option to sell it
Hi - relatively new to investing (or losing as I am finding out!) but this company interested me about 2 yrs ago so I bought in. I am just not sure what is happening now and wondered if anyone could shed any light for a lay person. Is my understanding correct that there is a potential buy out which simply results in being paid 212p per share and I am left with no holding?
I buckled this morning. A very wise and successful trader advised that you should take a certain profit and not gamble on a possible little extra. In today's climate that is particularly apt I think. Its a good company either way longer term . Gl all
I've been in this share since 2017 and it hasn't got above about 170p. I'm out with a tiny loss after divis, as I doubt a better offer will emerge. Good luck if you're holding on.
Apparently its only the largest shareholder Gresham that have agreed the bid. Stockopedia are suggesting at least 1 counter bid. £2.12 is in the bag so I think I will hang on to see if anything else is lurking. Even if it fell through I would still want to hold this stock. Shows how undervalued stocks currently are in UK. Its nice to have a big offer but somehow it s till feels like a mugging! That could change Good luck all
Morning all. A pleasant surprise, no doubt, but is this just a quick smash and grab by 20% holding Bidco? I'm kinda wondering that the 6.8million NHS backlog are 'still' going to need radiologist and radiographers for many years to come. Is £2.12 too cheap? Welcome your views.
Been a good investment for me. Sometimes the premium isn't worth it as it is better to collect divis so I am mixed on the takeover. However the SP is vanity while cash is sanity.
Healthy chunky after hours 96k buy . Another one of Ken Wottons must haves. A lot better than some of his other holdings
Tipped in mail on sunday for 2022
Interim results webcast now available. Best snippets:
15:00 - Elective at start of Sep >80% of Jan2020
15:30 - Elective >90% at date of webcast
45:18 - Community diagnostic hubs (part of £5.9bn to NHS) to be transformative for Medica

Also, ahead of the Budget, NHS being given £5.9bn of which £2.3bn specifically for diagnostic/scan capacity.
“Some of the £5.9bn - £2.3bn - will be used to fund a big expansion of diagnostic tests, for example through more CT, MRI and ultrasound scans, the government said.”

Results should be promising and hopefully the post period update will give more confidence the company is moving forward and strategy is working. Unsure why the SP is a little volatile but it may be AIM which has SP dips on a small number of sells or a large shareholder is reducing. Medium to longer term revenue and EBITA should be rising steadily to support a SP over £2.
A bit more insight on ground I think management have already covered from the Capital markets presentation https://medicagroupplc.com/investors/results-and-reports/
Nope, no idea, was wondering the very same...?
Anyone offer any ideas here please? Seems somewhat dramatic. IM buys 15% of the Company, share price heads South!!
Might be the Liontrust AM increase of 835,772 posted on RNS on the 9th?
I see on the HSBC website(Investdirect) that 887000 shares were bought at around 10-15am.Then shortly afterwards the shares plunged in price. This just does not make sense.Has anyone any possible explanation?
That's why I bought them a few months ago! They are offering consultancy via the internet, so partners in Australia etc. may as well be next door. There is a huge backlog of elective work in the NHS so I'm expecting them to renew their pre-covid growth trajectory.
A very positive outline in today's magazine with expected 14%pa compound revenue growth helped by acquisition and catching up the backlog of elective work in UK. Largest firm in its field in UK and Eire.
This is probably behind today's higher volume and SP increase.

and maybe the 25% upside from here to a 200p TP is pretty robust. Sold some at 124p due to poor performance but seems the share is coming back to life.
