I am still interested here but not at this sp. Thanks for the posts bonum to explain the investment case. While I like it, it all seems to be hopeful. That a deal might be done. I was thinking of slicing profits from copl to put here. I still thing it has further to drop. I hope I am wrong for the lth.. You say informational news , but it is only talks? is that the case It seems you are one of the few positive ones here bonum?
Apparently we have a bullish sentiment, precipitating another move up on the price.
Regardless, I prefer to look at the underlying investment case with a general awareness of what I see in the price progression.
We have a strong foundation for a .major step change, as Petro Matad prepare to transition into a bona fide revenue generating producer, Partnership talks that have been undertaken for full field development, further exploratory assets in the PF to grow the company.....and a Govt closely aligned with the aims of the company.
We're aware of the transformational catalyst that's due at any time and the limited 'free float' that should underpin the buoyant sentiment off progressing the company's strategy, just as it acted against the share price to cause the over done drop previously.
That's why we easily see the periodic 20% plus moves, albeit that should be dwarfed with the Exploitation license news as expected.
Good price stabilisation and well positioned for the next push upwards, hence good to be already positioned in the investment.
As always, for those new to the stock or only partially invested based on hearsay, do your own independent research - I believe that will fully validate why many of us are so Confident of holding MATAD at these levels and at this juncture in its progress towards a Mid- tier Oil producer.
Yes the ducks starting to line up IMO, timescale getting shorter and shorter and option recently exercised shows more positive evidence. Petrovis have significant shareholding here and no doubt behind the scenes are assisting with the financial planning on future requirements to move MATD into an oil producer once licence granted. Will be adding more shares over the next few weeks as believe potential here great.
Thx for your response Dozzawba and pls excuse the sentimental nature of my post. I hope you're right - that's what most of us LTHs are here for - and in my case for an investment period which has turned out to be extremely long (to say the least). Let's hope we LTHs finally get rewarded for our patience.
Ojay - would be a good day when you can type that message again - In Matd I Trust - imho i think it will happen soon - i think the exploitation licence will be the start of big things for PM and imho we will then have multiple news flows straight after and hopefully us LTHs will be rewarded at last for our patience - good to see you still here - atb
Dozzawba: In the "good old days" (February 2017) I was holding 1.6% of PM's shares. I like to say that to myself because it sounds pretty damn good. Not trying to brag here at all. In the meantime my holdings are only (but still!) half of what they were and the shares in issue have increased so much that I dare not calculate my holdings percentage at this time. I am in this until I once again can say: "In matd I trust"
Same here - i have filtered him now as does wind me up which plays into his hands. It is difficult when he is telling lies about my/our investment as personally i couldn't do that to someone else. We are all here invested for the same reason well the majority of us. Anyway GLA hopefully not too much longer to wait now
It's difficult - I admit - to just ignore claims that are false or misleading "for the sake of balance on the BB". All I can say is: We've tried the "ignore concept" - and you can see where we've ended up.
Sir Bob has it right.Ignore him and he may depart. Responding only encourages this sort.I fail to understand why one would bother posting on a stock when one does not have any shares but there it is.Curious psychology.
Getting a bit boring, board being obsessed with CS. Can we just ignore him please if he winds you up. Wind up merchants keep coming back if you give Them attention......or try to argue with them....so just filter or ignore if you don’t like what he says.
Would also like to point out that a certain person said why would Petro China get involved with Petro Matad without a CPR
This below was in the March RNS
Competent Persons' Report (CPR) and reservoir stimulation studies
As part of the Reserves Reporting preparations, the Company commissioned Leap Energy to prepare a CPR for the northern part of Block XX where the Company's discoveries are located. The CPR concluded that the Heron structure has mean, unrisked in-place oil resource potential of 194 million barrels. This is 20% higher than the Company's initial internal assessment and offers the potential for substantial commercial value given the low-cost, onshore operating environment and the favourable Mongolian regime
Small volumes yesterday, I think that will change today and we may see an upward trend in volume and SP, leading up to the weekend. I know its totally irrelevant as its pure speculation, but that would make me feel better.
An 'interesting' evening on the board last night - fortunately some very informed posters here, who addressed certain erroneous points made.
One was that Mike Buck CEO, had no discussion with Petro China regarding a Parternership agreement to develop the Heron field.
Refer to the following presentation by Mike Buck - 15min 40 sec in - he clearly states the contrary and that Petro China have also stated they can drill the wells at the best rate, which Buck agrees on.
Australian oil and gas company, Elixir Energy has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mongolia’s fuel retailer, MT Group to develop a small scale LNG (SSLNG) facility in Mongolia. Both the companies will seek to develop the SSLNG facility that will be supplied by the local coal bed methane. The LNG facility will be used to deliver fuel to the South Gobi region’s large coal trucking fleet.
