And CS - your last comment says it all about your posts - there's been a delay or problem you state - but surprisingly you missed out another reason - that there actually could be a good reason for no RNS yet
Facts usually count for i think - you stated - Fact is he didnt promise anything - expected was the word - Fact is permit hasn't arrived - Fact is you dont know why it hasn't arrived - Fact is you dont know why it hasn't arrived yet or me or anybody - so why dont you state facts when they happen and you are 100% sure and we all are - but main fact is you seem to always post negatives
CS he didnt make an enormous promise that contracts would be end of July/early August - RNS said they were expected end of July - now read through the various comments made on this BB ref the various scenarios that could be a reason for no RNS so dont post false info - by saying he promised - HE DIDNT - you gont know why there has been no RNS - and i don't - none of us do - good or bad news who knows so dont post crap
Well said bro. Lot of moving parts going on here in the background.
Mike Buck comes across as:
Under promise and Over deliver type of CEO, managing expectations well.
At the same time he is excited about the prospects and wants to deliver despite having to deal with all the beuracracy in Mongolia.
2nd Placing was not needed for 2018 drill programme, yet he had the vision to get the finances & permits in place so we do not waste any drilling season. With Rig to be winter stacked and permits ready well in time means they can start 2019 drilling early.
Hopefully, that should just build on top of success at both SL and WH.
There is nothing will come surprise to the Upside with SL, brother. Such Upside has been carefully calculated which means it will be a logical consequence of the highly professional approach that was used, both by Mike and before him by BG specialists. Therefore, all the conversation over some kind of duster is complete nonsense coming from dogs barking. Exactly the same or maybe even more brilliant situation will be with WH and I tend to agree with those of our Matadors that such deafening success will create copmletely new situation and drilling plans for the XX block can be revised. For, after the SL, inevitably there will be a need to concentrate all of efforts and energy for further exploration and discovery of new huge deposits, not saying about the needs to take into account considereation of the farm-in, which will appear instantly together with the first success.
Yep. Lots going on in the background. Company is working on 3 Blocks simultaneously which in itself is no small achievement.
1. Block XX Rig contract.
2. Wild Horse site preparation (Block IV).
3. Snow Leopard - Block V.
Mike clearly said in his interview they have the flexibility to move things around.
If they have a strike at Snow Leopard, then clearly being the bigger prize, they would be spending more time here to get their hands on additional 500MMbo in addition to the 90MMBO.
Frustrating as it might be waiting for news....we might be in for even better news than originally thought.
I have never subscribed to this duster theory from the start which some circulated even before they Spud SL....I think we could get a surprise to the Upside with SL.
Not long to find out.
Hi all just thought I would throw out there that non of us know what is happening but I think you will only need to be patient for another couple of weeks before it all unfolds.
There could be any number of reasons that news on XX hasn't been released as yet and I aired one idea over the weekend that it could be that they got a Farm-in offer for XX whilst negotiating the rig contract and so it's taking longer because of a change in terms of the contract. Another train of thought could be along the lines of what has been spoken about today that they hit something whilst drilling SL and finalising the Rig contract for XX and just want to bide their time to do the testing on SL to figure out what it is and their next move (could explain the spike in volume we had two Fridays ago).
More than anything non of us know when the news is going to come of SL result or XX drill or a complete change of plans due to Farm-in so it's just a waiting game but it will come and soon. Patients is a virtue
Nice and dandy - are you now - finally - willing to respond to my posts (or do you need someone else to jump in for you?). If you are invested and - as we all know by now - there is no update (yet) on the rig contracts for block XX: What do you intend to do about it?
What news delay ? Telling every detail ? The awarding of the contract is a rather important part of the process. The company said in February they were going to source a rig for Block XX. This is the end of August and no word.
All you can answer is that I’ve invented something or are a purveyor of fake news. It’s a discussion forum - get over it - not everyone is going to agree with you.
As for gender - I dont preface every name with his/her/they.
Victor - I'm sure you are a very nice man or woman at heart (got to be gender conscious today haven't we. Don't want to upset the BBC do we) but I can't remember seeing anything from you that indicates a positive view about MATD. For this reason I take everything you say with a very finely chopped pinch of salt.
You do have every right to say what you like, but please don't get upset when I or others ask you what news delay?. Operationally, Mike Buck must be up to his neck in it, mobilising what is in effect four wells all on top of each other. I'm sure telling the likes of you and me every detail as he goes along his every day business is the last thing wants to do.
If SL is successful then Block XX will become redundant in my opinion, its a tiny prospect. It was only ever going to be used to generate cash flow. If SL comes in, it is many multiples and also opens up other drills in Block V. This would be before we even start drilling WH in Block IV.
The money would be much better spent in Block IV & V if they are viable than in Block XX.
Block XX is not a game changer! Hence they are waiting for results which could change the plan considerably!
