Hi, am not invested here yet but seriously considering it. I dont know an awful yet about the finer details but i know that PM are fully funded for a 6 well program, the first being unsuccessful. Which drill is considered to be the favoue=rite out of the six and why? Is it this anomaly that has been mentioned? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
What does it mean - Seismic amplitudes (Anomaly) have been used for many years in West of Shetlands with mixed success.
Discoveries such as Laggan,Tormore and Cragganmore have shown that seismic amplitudes can be used to predict hydrocarbons successfully. But with a large number of failed wells, using the seismic method for predicting hydrocarbons is by no means foolproof.
Good evening murrcolr1 and John84. Completely agree with your thoughts, guys. But do you know what was the very first anomaly? That is that we are not millionaires yet. And the only reason of this because Wild Horse wasn't drilled first. But don't worry it will not take too long from now to happen - just couple of weeks or one year as a maximum :-)) Have a nice evening and even better day tomorrow.
Agree mate I also have the same view. Especially the seismic graphs and the soft amplitude readings between shows its trappred gas followed by oil below. I have loaded today, based on my own calculation matd will be intersecting either on Sat or Sunday.
The Wild Horse prospect is a prominent structural high on the flank of the as yet undrilled Baatsagaan Basin and is ideally located to receive charge from two deep basinal areas mapped to the East and West. The structure has elements of four-way dip closure and fault closure. It also has bright seismic events that appear to conform to structure and which may therefore be indicative of hydrocarbon fluid content. Wild Horse 1 is located to drill through one such anomaly at the crest of the structure. The prospect has a large section within structural closure from 700m to total depth and the recoverable resource potential is estimated to be 480MMbo.
Currently, it is difficult to separate out anomalously high seismic amplitudes associated with gas to those related to the high porosity but water-wet sandstone.
Ojay- Actually this was the only share that was a real winner for me to date, The others not so good my freind. Good luck with your long term strategy here , but i will admit im here only for this one, wild horse. If this does not come in sentiment will knock this down again, perhaps never recovering. However we all have our investment strategies and reasons at the end of the day. Good luck to all here and yes right now hope is a good thing.
Well Ojay, as Freodocker said, you do have a tendency to be high-handed. You’ve held these shares for a long time - good for you - others have bought in the dips and sold on a rise - good for them. To your credit, you haven’t ramped for the sake of lining your own pockets like our new Junior Mr. Positive - SBB1.
Good luck to you and me and many others on here - always excluding a few of course.
IABA: I see you've been - as opposed to me - a smart and successful investor. I admit I should've done the same at the time. But it is how it is; I'm extremely lucky to say that - even today - I'm still about 110% in the green/blue. My intention is, however, to go for far more. For me this is a make or break operation. I'm in this for the big gain (or nothing at all). It may take a while but I believe PM will at one point strike oil and become a successful oil & gas company. When? No idea. We've all seen that these companies need to be funded for their drilling operations. Once they strike oil - funding is no longer a problem. Up to that point all of us are in a "hopeful mode".
My first wiining investment back in the day was with Petro Matad , bought in at around 40p and sold at 1.30 or therabouts. I never forget in, felt like free money back then and good old Douglas Mcgay knew how to write a decent RNS , funny thing is he did another RNS a few days later with simar results. Kept investors fully informed with good news.
FreolickDocker: You've definitely got to do better than that with your 19th post. 1. Check your spelling - pls let me know if you should need help with that. 2. Check the (envisaged) meaning of your post; it appears to be negative but whatever it is you want to say seems uncomprehensible. 3. Added value: "PM, high risk, possible high reward": Excellent analysis: Wow - never heard that one before!
F/D: Thank God you've finally decided to make a contribution. Don't know how we've made it until now without you!
I've thought I'm mthe only ony one here who's annoyed be the constant rampingand repetitionss of SBB 1 and others, the highhandness of like like ojay and prolenless. sometimes I wonder if these True Martians copy their wisdom straight from the geological books from their nearest uni?! If you leavew these people out, this could be a near normal bb. PM, high risk, possible high reward.
I am still here thanks Gatto ... you can only repeat yourself so many times and get constantly shot down and ridiculed before you think its probably not worth carrying on. With the likes of SBB1 around its a losing battle trying to inform people of anything, the board is full to the brim of complete mornons Im afraid.
I am still holding my shares and will continue to until MATD strike oil or go bust
Somm, SL reached TD at 2930m. Estimated 3350m. I suspect we'll hear something once TD has been reached. Though twitter updates have certainly had an influence albeit minor on the Share Price. I predict an RNS on Monday 26th November if progressing well as we have been told.
