... wouldn't surprise me to see blue soon!
Yes. Lovely buying opportunity. Need to focus on where share price going to be in next 3-6 months, not today. No brainer.
On low volume some nervous punters got mugged there selling at 4.2p
Good time to buy on days like today FTSE recovering only 40 odd points down and Oil up
Oil clearly going over the $100 very soon... come on MB lets get Heron pumping!
Most of my screen is red as Putin's thugs take a step closer and send jitters around the world markets.. what the bets he places a few million dollar shorts here and then just before he moves troops... easy money if you think about it.
Those few little traders selling are just creating another opportunity.
The Oil in the ground is just getting more valuable.
Even without political issues Oil price forecasts from JP Morgan for 2022 has been $125/bbl and $150/bbl for 2023 based on supply / demand.
By summer this year Oil price could be well over $100 by the Heron oil comes to market benchmarked to Brent crude.
Sub 5p should have long gone by then.
Brent at $99.04
IamRich . Not a deramper no agenda contrary to your beliefs . Just not as positive as some on this board. I'm moderately invested and hope all comes good. But just a bit more realistic and cautious .that is my right . Posting wild figures of 50p plus is wholly irresponsible particularly those new to the party. Time you stopped bashing me on that front pal
2024 is probably a bit optimistic for refinery completion. EIL have yet to announce the Phase II contractor, which is the bulk of the work (Phase 1 has been Power, outbuildings, and water pipeline). Once the contractor has been announced, its takes time to get to Mongolia and build up momentum. Winter construction delays, etc. Gut feeling says late 2026 at this point.
Doesn't stop PM selling to China before that of course.
MP - I hadn't heard the contractor was announced for the Oil pipeline. Do you have a link to that?
Mongolia's cabinet approved a resolution downgrading the pandemic "state of readiness" from orange to yellow, effectively lifting all restrictions on business operations, state news agency Montsame reported Monday

Personally I wouldn’t mind if rig negotiations had to be extended for a few weeks…. Having the right rig and crew is of the utmost importance and Mike should not settle for just any rig /crew just because they are a bit cheaper or it not exactly the correct kit for the job…..this is going to be an important partnership for MATD and it’s got to be right.
I still think we will hear very soon.
Yeah was Ch out people baaa and horsers like I said here a few times top derampers here lol like they can do anything or the share price, mugs traded this like I once warned don't do it or it will escape you, well there you go now stuck outside unless you pay the higher price now which is still low, well let's hope that rig news don't land or its double digits,
Everybody has to have to think about 3 values: sp if successful, sp if not successful, probability of success, 1 - the probability of success -> (v1, v2,p, 1-p)
If you have made your mind about these 3 values and what you think they are then just plot them into this equation
((v1*p)+(v2*p-1))/ sp = x | if x > 5 you should invest some (IMHO); else dont invest
For myself this would be x = (60p*0.8+1p*0.2)/3p = 16. Yes I know 80% is a very high percentage of success but as I see it there are just cold feet around here and news are coming sooner or later, but as it stands an upset in the timeline would be surprising to me as the headroom for management was pretty big and was also acknowledged by management.
As for now I gave you my personal investment case based on the potential risk and reward calculation. This concept isn't anything new and you will probably find way better explanations than I just did here. I just heard somebody talk about it, and tried it on MATD as a reason/explanation why investing in this isn't as bad as everybody says or said (at 2.6p lol).
I think putting things in numeric rationale is always a good thing when you want to determine if an investment case is valid or not.
As almost always,
ATB WM
There are lot of moving parts with ongoing talks / negotiations on different fronts:
Block V environment study approval
Heron oil price benchmarked to Brent price
Rig / service contractor deal
We might get all as one Operational update as already discussed here last week. We might already have drill rig contract all sorted...who knows. If all above are sorted and come as one single Operational update, then you can forget about sub 5p entry price as this would jump to 10p plus within days.
Stay with the Momentum and uptrend.
Can't say I disagree with baaa much, alas, history has not shown otherwise.
Locky1985 - based on the fact that negotiations have taken about 100 days now and I don't see any reason why they would suddenly be done in the next 2 weeks.
FairAnalyst your post does not address my short-term concern.
Hoping Baa is wrong on this - there obviously is a possibility but they have a Q&A for the AGM. Would you want a Q&A without releasing a RNS prior. I believe they will get slaughtered. So imho I think there will be a RNS - fingers crossed but who knows
Have to agree with Baa every chance that no news prior to AGM which is only 8 days away. Call me a half glass empty type but we have to be realistic. And no I am not deramping sold out or trying to get back in at a lower price . It's just the reality
What’s this based on?
a lot of sense. Clearly there may be reasons for selling...I'm just not aware of them (pls let me in on the reasoning!).
Whatever, I am holding on to my 200million shares (just joking) and will wait until the SP reaches at least 50p+.
On March 3rd at the AGM when they likely announce that rig negotiations continue to be ongoing and despite the over 3 months between December 7th (when they were in LATE STAGE NEGOTIATIONS) and March 3rd there is no further update, could be damaging for the share price.
Its a stock pickers market.
Right stock at right time can make you a fortune.
MATD fits the bill for 2022 and beyond.
