88E...£428m Mcap..never found a thing.
MATD...£40M fully funded and Brent tgrough tge roof.
We are talking potential 'Buy Out' of Block XX only not MATD as a whole company.
30p - 35p offer for Block XX would be fair imo.
May be able to on CFD markets on IG, but not index , even did a test buy/order following your comment last night. As I say I had an email giving me a deadline to close my positions. So definitely not as a spreadbet.
Not a bad average you have there, after two divorces I did a ‘do or die!’ With my little pension pot remaining hence my large holding and average……I will probably offload if we hit 15-20p…….all this talk of 30-50p I’ve seen so many times over the years with maybe only 1 or 2 pulling it off, the majority spiking up and quickly back down. Plus I only need 12p plus for a good pension recovery.
The placing for institutions and board last year though at 3.5p gave me confidence in my 2.8p buys, as they'd not have bought unless very confident (that said Mike Buck has bought at 11p ish before)….still some clear obstacles to overcome, but we’ve not long to wait to see if it all come good…..certainly not for the faint hearted.
Does anyone know if Covid travel restrictions are still in place on China boarder and could this prevent getting the rig in place in next couple of months?
Wow crazy prices….$120 could easily fall.

Well, I can assure you that they definitely do trade MATD SirBob as I've bought MATD shares via them 26 times over the last 3 - 4 years! :)
I've got just over 1.5 million myself at an average of 4.96p. Wish I had your 2.7 million at av of 3.1p though!
Fingers crossed that this is our year indeed! It's been a long road but it looks more promising than ever.
GLA
IG stopped dealing in Matd about a year ago approx along with around 250 other small Caps (although weirdly kept Angus Energy)…..had to close my £1k a point out, Purchased 2.7m shares at an av of 3.1p now….so fingers crossed this is our year.
As far as I’m aware IG still don’t trade Matd
MB would have to put it to shareholders….it may or may not go through…depends on your holding and when you bought I guess
Everyman has their price Jim….even MB… if an offer of 30p per share dropped in tomorrow who would turn it down?
Jimi I tend to agree with you on this, I just can't see the government or Petrovis agreeing to a takeover. Yes a JV to bring wells on quicker and maximize profit with the current price of oil, but not to hand it over to Petro China - just can't see it.
Why do a few posters on here talk so much of a buy out, do you think Petro Matad would sell out after taking over ten years to finally find oil. All these 100s of millions been bandied around as a buy out price doesn't seem worth it to me and wouldn't make any sense. Also not sure if the Mongolian govt would let it happen but they say money talks. GLA
15th and 25th Feb- looks like a double bottom?… hopefully
gla
Just researching to put more in here and wondered if any more knowledgeable posters on here could tell me TQE whom I believe are a subsidiary of CNPC petroleum are connected to Petro China or do subcontract rig work for them or are they rival entities.
Thank you GLA
Never had a problem buying Petro Matad via IG either.
@ Mister Positive - totally agree! The price of oil and DQE potential involvement is the reasons why I invested. For me this is a game changer.
It clearly would make sense on PC's behalf; but I wonder whether PM would be interested to sell off its assests piece for piece.
I would give it 12 months before an offer to buy out Block XX is on the table in my personal opinion.
Potential buy out offer for Block XX i would estimate around $250m - $300m range in my personal view. Going by how much Petrochina paid to Soco Intl as a proxy at lower price back then.
DQE would fast track drills to much higher than just 3 wells. Thus getting to 8000 bopd much much quicker $$$$$$$
Petrochina wants Block XX also to themselves in my view to make up for their own production shortfall from 25000 bopd to 17000 bopd currently.
Hi guy's. For those unable to buy more than 5000 shares why not try Redmayne Bentley brokers
How is it people say they struggle to buy 5000 shares when people are buying 100k+ just curious. GLA
Cant buy any more than 5000 shares, should be a tick up before close
Those 100k buys rocking in nicely…someone loading up
