2022 in South Africa was cancelled months ago I think due to covid - LVCG only have the one event as far as I know - sorry but imho this poster is S-S... he did it the other day re a DORMANT company - is new - and is only posting on this company 100% negative - this is my money - it’s your money - and I simply will not allow him to destroy this company’s rep by lies and half truths - the company is aware - as I said earlier no one is selling at a profit now so more fool them imho
knigel, is the e-formula event and the Vancouver Formula E event one in the same. If it is then whoever that poster is, they are correct the Formula E 2022 event has been cancelled and postponed until 2023 and if it isn't then maybe they are confusing the two.
Oh ho, spoke to soon. Hahaha
I agree, they should be reported, its misleading info, could possibly put new investors off, not knowing what to believe, It’s ok for us long term holders we can see straight through them, they must be sad lonely people that have so much pent up frustration/anger.
Think share price is going to bob up and down between 4.5-5p till news arrives, happy to hold and wait, not long now till news arrives.
More misinformation elsewhere - that new poster saying the e-formula event is cancelled. NO IT IS NOT - it is PENDING a visit to the site later this year to approve the track/facilities and if approved will be added to the revised timetable. If it was cancelled then there be a new location appearing for this date! I really don’t think posts move a share price - news/volume will do it - but this constant misinformation from a vile individual with an agenda cannot help! Plus they should make their minds up - is this event immaterial so not important or is material to earnings next year and therefore is important - which one is it! I won’t continue to mention the trolling on the other site here - I will just go straight to the company - they can and should take action imho
I don't agree, seems lifestyle companies are quite common on AIM and Directors still get the quiet life as they just hide away and operate as if the business is private. These companies obviously don't last long, as once they get figured out, the placing level gets lower and lower, until billions of shares are in issue and they go bust or delist.
I would define a lifestyle company as being cash hungry, not generating any significant revenue and the Directors taking a nice 6 figure salary with expenses, paid for by increasingly dilutive placings NOT revenue generated by the business, like we have here.
Lifestyle businesses are rarely listed on the stock exchanges, as in doing so attracts shareholders and the irritation and grief that comes along with them. Lifestyle businesses usually attract people who like the quiet life rather than one full of aggravation.
So can be applied to multiple companies as generous options/warrants are constantly issued to Directors - I know of a few companies I have held were businesses are sold to other Directors - not sure why this poster picks one company out - must be personal - and anyway DC holding has reduced significantly recently and having regular presentations means he will have to explain his actions to shareholders going forward - he wants a higher share price - we do all holders - but I understand - just about - why some are wary - just not non holders who don’t intend to reinvest - can’t the just move on?....
A lifestyle business is one that is geared toward supporting the owner’s income and personal requirements rather than maximizing revenue.
BTW I wonder what the free float is here ? I presume over the last month we have had net sales or the brokers might be holding on to a few shares hence why they drop the share price on low volume atm?? Is there a way to check?
Lots of buys now ... on the other thread a poster calls this “a lifestyle” company! Any idea what they mean? If they mean people usually go to concerts, sport events, art events and zoos then that is kind of my lifestyle! Btw as for the bottom imho the company should make minimum of 0.5p earnings this year worse case (others will say a lot higher) so that’s a current PE of 9. So imho very little downside and decent upside on a two year view with extra concerts and sport events already baked in for 2023 - so we just have to wait for market sentiment to improve as LVCG isn’t the only company that’s fallen off a cliff from its high point recently..
Topuo time
suedee5 - So no answer to the question I asked other than sharing off topic drivel. And here you are suggesting I'm the one bringing nothing to the boards. Don't bother replying I have filtered you out. The only poster of merit that bothered to share their view is knigel. Thank you.
Asim, you asked for my final answer,
my final answer to you is!!!
I think your very funny and some of your comments really made me laugh, thank you for our little chat. However, I chose not to engage with you anymore after this post because you bring nothing to the board. I bid you good luck and goodbye.
If i was giving any advise to the company now it would be 1) let’s see some Director buys - it will provide a good signal 2) keeps the news flow coming and well done on the active Twitter account 3) perhaps look at the company structure so that those with agendas can’t try to pick holes 4) let’s have another 1-2 Directors appointed when possible and finally 4) give us a mind blowing game changing update on 28 July!!!
"I strongly recommend that when investing in any shares you do your own research into that company"
I always do and what is central to a successful company is their financials not what they sell.
"Anyway I think you’ve taken up enough time on this board, your just embracing yourself now. So Good luck in all your investments, your self sufficient lifestyle. Been nice talking to you but goodbye"
I'm sorry, but that's not your decision to make but if you're going I will of course be courteous and bid thee goodbye.
"we only like facts posted here"
I only came here for facts and other than knigel stating "Btw there is NO reason for the drop if it was related to company news as there’s not been much - the drop is purely due to profit taking and dire market sentiment" I am still awaiting some, do you intend to furnish any in answer to the question I asked before you leave?
What you are being taken to task for is attacking people answering questions in a perfectly reasonable way, and just being an “angry argumentative man”.
On the contrary the only thing I have mentioned is that the information you offered was a decade out of date. I put forward arguments direct from the industry from this present period, 2022 and you took umbrage and dismissed it out of hand. I doubt you even bothered to read the post before forming your conclusion. The anger appears to be coming from you, I'm just concerned over the investment, and keep emotions out of my financial transactions and lead with my brain.
Asim, apologies for shorting your name, it’s a little long to type, anyway my friend, I strongly recommend that when investing in any shares you do your own research into that company, from your statement you would buy Aldi shares because they sell crisps n owned by two German brothers, hum not a good way to invest.
Anyway I think you’ve taken up enough time on this board, your just embracing yourself now. So Good luck in all your investments, your self sufficient lifestyle. Been nice talking to you but goodbye, we only like facts posted here.
"Really? Claiming not to be asking for financial advice, yet if you bother to read your post that’s exactly what you were asking."
What financial advice have I asked for? I don't remember asking if I should buy more or sell my holding. Many , including yourself suggested that I should sell but other than asking your reasons for coming to this conclusion and to clarify if you would sell at a 40% loss I haven't asked any person if I should or shouldn't. I wouldn't even consider asking a th9ird party for financial advice, even my accountants are that foolish to expect me to.
Knigel - My money is all tied up in my home and investments to give my daughter future protection and treatment when I'm not here to look after her as she has a rare genetic disorder (microdeletion 16p13.11) with some serious health issues. You could be worth £100million or you could be worth nothing, it's all the same to me. Money just pays bills it doesn't make the person.
Really? Claiming not to be asking for financial advice, yet if you bother to read your post that’s exactly what you were asking.
And nobody is taking you to task for offering a counter view, that’s what these boards are for. What you are being taken to task for is attacking people answering questions in a perfectly reasonable way, and just being an “angry argumentative man”. And using language like “plummeting” is just trolling in my book. Plenty stay silent having bought shares, but its not like you have been silent elsewhere, so you will have to excuse me if I have a great deal of difficultly believing anything you say. But looking at your posting history, it seems that you take an argumentative stance with everyone, so at least you are staying in character ;-)
suedee5 - Why? I buy crisps from Aldi but other than knowing Aldi is a supermarket chain that was founded by two German brothers I don't know much else. If they sold shares i would probably buy some, unfortunately they don't.
Tbh we can say anything here - I am worth £100 million... or am I? Btw there is NO reason for the drop if it was related to company news as there’s not been much - the drop is purely due to profit taking and dire market sentiment - like with countless other small cap shares at the moment - now it’s picking the shares that will recover the most going forward GL with HUR I will take a look... then
"I’m not here to give anyone financial advice, and if you are seeking that on an anonymous Bulliten board can I suggest you are probably looking in the wrong place"
I wasn't, I was asking why the share price was plummeting when it should be rising.
"Plus If you think the world is headed into a meltdown, perhaps start stocking up on tinned foods"
Don't need to, I live on a farming estate in a house that has its own water supply, sewage system, 90kw solar array and an Archimedes screw water turbine so I have food, water, sewage and power for free.
"But for every analyst that gives a prediction of doom and gloom on oil there are others that give a positive outlook. Today Bloomberg (there’s plenty more) are saying they predict that the oil market is cooling off."
My main equity investments are in two oil & gas companies, as well as other investments in energy & utilities companies. I keep abreast of the current position regarding energy supply. Quoting an article in relation to the US gasoline market isn't the same as quoting in relation to the global oil and gas markets.
"Oh and there’s plenty of people on these bulliten boards that claim to have a big holding in a company and are just “nervous” etc, but what I personally find difficult to believe is that someone can buy close to 1 m shares in an aim company (over 0.5%) and not say a single thing about the purchase (like that poster WW last year that apparently had millions of shares)."
Why do you need to? I have many investments as well as owning a couple of companies outright. Is it necessary to shout from the hilltops to all and sundry that you own something or other or is it better just to stay schtum. You sound like my older brother who asks why I drive a battered 1998 Honda Civic when I could afford an all singing, all dancing Lexus. I'm quite happy driving my civic. When buying into investments I tend to look at the financials and decide from those. It is only later that I look into the sector they are in then if the mood takes me I dig deeper and gain a bit of knowledge in that sector. In this instance I already had a decades previous experience within the music industry and half a decade running venues so there was already something to compare against. The problem with these boards is that on some members take offence if you give a resume and on others they think you strange and untrustworthy if you don't.
