Gold just broken out to the upside. Highest since Sept 21.
Haha. Ooooo ta!
UR
I thought that was an excellent post.
Not interested in irony, only goldie. ;) I agree that wider markets played a role in the pullback here which didn't chime with company operations at all. A lot of gold stocks were hit hard into the US eleciton and a lot of them are now starting to recover. Well done if you added on the pullback. Looks a very good call.
Hey Phoebus,
What were your views on my response to your 27 Oct post re Lnd going it alone?
Irony lost on you Phoebus. It was a bit of fun with UKInv re a rushed post with typos, not a comment on content.
To both, I agree, what I meant was there was clearly alot of froth in the market overall two weeks ago but I missed selling at 29 and thought it not worth it after...I agree it should get there again and hopefully more.
Hi UKInv,
It is but difficult to gauge if the past few days have been Lnd specific or more likely linked to global events. Just hope the upcoming results are reflective of true potential here.
UR
Not wise IMO. This is a highly illiquid and highly undervalued gold stock in the middle of a gold bull market. There was no guarantee that if you'd sold near 30p that SP would actually have a significant pullback or even if it did that you would be able to buy all your shares back again more cheaply. What is guaranteed though is that the drill is now turning with drill results, a new Mineral Resource Statement and PEA not far off. The smart thing to do here is not get too fancy. Buy, hold and reap the rewards. This is definitely one of the best gold plays on the LSE. Low risk, big reward. Exactly why Eric Sprott is on board. GLA
Hehe...meant to say added more below btw....nice to see it moving again
Wise words UKinvestor 2.0!?
It ran too hard too fast and I shold have sold..but I didn't, but did at more at 21.8!
Looks like a lot of today's supposed sells even those as low as 21.50p are actually buys as I've been quotes 21.50p to buy for some time now today. Did anyone anticipate a 30% pullback as soon as drilling started? No, me neither. SP is pretty much flat now for the last 10 weeks despite major drilling now being underway. Remarkable to think this is still sat at less than £20M with over 1MOZ JORC in the bag and gold at near $1900 and Sprott on board. Remarkable value at these levels.
Mads,
No doubt at all that BH is indeed Lnd with a highly able exploration team around him.
Intriguing times and end game very possibly in sight.
UR
UR - I sometimes look at matters from BH's perspective. Given his advanced age (80) and just how extensive & complicated his involvement is here........... he surely must be wanting a conclusion asap so he can wrap-up his considerable business & investment affairs? And not leave that headache to his loved ones. How much of LND is BH? In fact some might argue BH is LND.
Any buy-out would inevitably involve lengthy due diligence process. 6 months perhaps? There's no reason why current drilling prog through to next March couldn't carry on concurrently with due diligence. But to do that shares would have to be suspended from trading.
Just my thoughts for when current drilling initial results start to surface.
Haha I probably would Mads. It’s a fair old game this Aim game and being in Lnd has been, er, interesting!
I have to say I agree with you about the end game; everything does seem to be gearing up for that and in fairness you have been predicting that for some time. I was all about a JV for ages as you know but am now sat squarely in your camp.
I have a fair old amount of these (for me anyway) and want my patience rewarded as no doubt do our other LTH friends on here.
I am pretty certain that all are very content as Madame’s! Upbeat in fact!
Evening UR
I guess my £1 target is as a minimum that would make me feel all these years holding has been worth it.
I'd happily feel easy with your £1.80 to include everything (gold + nickel + iron ore + lithium). That would give me a nice CGT headache. If I told you how much I am holding back to offset as losses from elsewhere (since 1998) you probably wouldn't believe me. But it's 6 figures!!!
I just have a feeling in my waters that there will be a sudden end game here. Without notice. Without warning.
I haven't been down to Madame Una's massage parlour recently but I'd be surprised if they weren't ****-a-hoop with LND.
Evening Mads,
Yeah I reckon Sprott will be well aware of strategy as pretty much (except for detail) already in public domain. Tbf though Mads I personally would be very disappointed with a quid or around 5p in old. Gold and Nickel futures looking bright and I firmly believe that a sale based on 2.2 million ounces in proven and potential is a hell of a deal for a buyer when there seems little doubt that JL is likely to exceed 3 million at the very least( assuming 2020 results turn out as expected).
I will hold at a predicted £1.80 and reserve the right to review that upwards dependant on those deep drills.
UR
I agree with you ;-)
There is every likelihood that a serious & credible buyer is in the wings. And I'd be gobsmacked if Sprott wasn't aware of that. And any potential buyer will know what is realistically expected from the current drilling programme. I wouldn't bet against when it becomes clear that the drilling is producing the expected results a buyer will table an offer. Expect the unexpected. It's not imho going to be a simple case of all the results being published and then a takeover comes about.
As you say - there is a substantial amount of Nickel. Almost near production level with a fair projected margin at today's price. Assuming the figures BH announced way back in 2012 still stand ie the estimated operation + refining + transportation + smelting costs to be circa $12,000 per tonne.
And there's still all that iron ore (currently at 5 year high) located at Lamaune.
My target price is £1. Love to know if that would break even for BH? Got to be a close call?
