Thank God for that. Politicians knowing about business whatever next. He is an ideas man look at his efforts on buses and bikes in London. At least he gets things done unlike Khan
The most important thing to understand about Boris is that he knows absolutely sweet FA about business and economics and neither does his pet monkey Dom. A rather dangerous combination s some of us may recall in the case of Gordon Brown.
Agreed. It does seem dotty to licence the first deep UK coalmine for years and then stop us using the product. He ain't all good! In US seems an interesting choice, Trump, Sanders or Hillary. They are all over 70. And crackpots. I see chlorinated chicken happening. Seems ok on salad already on sale.
THe Power of One a very good film too Morgan Freeman I think
Ok really sorry. Grayling going to edit wiki cause he thinks its wrong though lol. Get editing genius.
You haven't heard of Henry's law then mus? Shark attacks also are perfectly correlated with ice cream consumption, defo cause shark attacks.
Maybe it's the same moron who voted your post up.
The moron is you grayling claiming to be an expert on the genome of white rot. The coal deposits stopped due to the evolution of white rot not because if it and the mountain of evidence for that us enormously keep self identifying as s moron and driving your crappy Tesla. Lignin evolved because it's hard to break down, I think white rot is the only thing just about capable of doing so.
He ain't really a leader james , if he were, we would have seen some evidence by now but at the time due to failings in both parties, we did not have much choice. What on earth the tory party thought they were playing at when they picked him, I have no idea. The same applies to labour when they picked Corbo. It's just possible that labour will pick someone who will give liar BoJo the hiding he deserves, we'll see.
Mus. For a more reasoned view of this see the following paper:
Nelsen, M.P., DiMichele, W.A., Peters, S.E. and C.K. Boyce. 2016. Delayed fungal evolution did not cause the Paleozoic peak in coal production. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, USA 113: 2442-2447.
Turns out the lignin hypothesis that "Large tree-like plants evolved before fungi evolved the ability to break down the fibrous lignin that helped give the plants structure. With nothing to make them decay, their remains were free to pile up and yield thick coal deposits." is not as strong as it is made out to be and it is actually white rot (a fungus) and not bacteria that are the organism of debate. By the way being referred to as a moron by BB (our resident scientific, financial and political genius) is a badge of honour to be worn with a sense of enormous pride :-)
If you studied all this mus how come I know far more than you?

What a man, what a leader.I see he has gone into " self isolation".Not because of any virus but to evade the lack of anyn effort to support the people in this Country of difficulties not least the massive flooding.
I agree he could not go to every place flooded but he could have held a open press conference expressing empathy for the victims.A PM is meant to be a leader and at should be seen not to be a recluse from reality.
The markets always fall in the first year of a Conservative Government as their inertia is evident. We cannot continue with CEO`s and political leaders who fail to come up with the goods.
As for the Home Secretary does a leopard change its spots?
Could the ppl voted up mus comment please self identify as morons?
It's on wiki you absolute dolt mus. I feel aggrieved educating someone so stupid.

More bothered about this hit on all my stocks at the moment TBH.......
Pat don't think Boris controls Corona virus.
Newboy NOT Rosewell.
Don't know why you think the world is flat rosewell. But listen to me and I might correct your woeful unscientific ignorance. Guessing you haven't looked at a formula or done scientific experiment since you didn't have to study it at 16 lol. It must be glorious being so ignorant.
So given you my first ever upvote Roswell. Lol.
For once we agree rosewell. But you are wrong the person who closed by far the most UK pits was Harold Wilson not the great lady.
Anyhow coal is just highly compressed wood. Bacteria to break to break down lignum (wood) didn't exist in pre history which is why coal beds were laid down. Forest just literally grew on top of one another for millions of years. If those bacteria had not evolved life on earth would be exstinct due to atmospheric co2 drought.
Boomer,
"Just burn our own coal would be far cleaner, silly laws."
The last I remember of coal stocks is that the UK has some 300 years worth that is stuck in the ground thanks to the witch Thatcher, may she rot in Hell. Can it be mined safely and economically now? Who knows. I would like to see some coal usage, it doesn't make sense not to use it if clean energy can be generated with it (I understand that the technology now makes it possible).
51/52p is getting warmer
Sorry to read about your mate and his rocket trying to prove the world was flat Boomer... Sad times!
Definitely a case of four legs good two legs better, if anyone thinks ripping up Californian forests abd Borneo is saving the planet. The climate change bill demands environmental destruction however as the price to "save earth" as it rejects energy dense production of energy.
Boris is fine Bruce provided he can bin this nutty environmentalism, at no he's thinking with trousers. Girlfriend is making her coin as a lobbyist there, essentially inflating energy costs to reward inefficient production. Being more inefficient never made society overall richer. If so called green energy works it should stand on its own two feet and not require subsidy and banning of other organic fuels which are in many ways cleaner anyway. The recent coal banning one silly example, coals are cleaner than dry wood and in fact bio mass. We ban coal but rip up California forests then ship to uk that makes sense? Just burn our own coal would be far cleaner, silly laws.
