Same here lti, the deals can be done later, we might get the clean break yet, the plump lady is getting in some practice for tomorrow.
I agree lti. However we are dealing with government so them taking the optimal path was always slim.

I feel that the quickest way to get a UK/EU FTA would have been with a clean Brexit, which is still my preferred option.
one things for absolute certainty. This share's sp wont be at the current level on Monday.

NI are being given the chance of majority voting to keep or reject the arrangements
with Boris deal we are better off been in the EU ,
Looking like Boris has 310 votes nailed on. He needs 10 labour ones. Norman Lamb voting for it apparently. I think it's going for yes vote tied up with this Letwin amendment.
In my opinion Brexit will never happen
LTI .. but the DUP see that as a step forward to a united Ireland and the point I’m making is that the ERG were bedfellows with DUP so it maybe difficult for the hardline ones to vote for deal .. that’s all I’m not picking a fight .. just making a point ... off running now
P
''the border in the Irish Sea is something that Boris and TM said would be unacceptable ''
NI is remaining as part of the UK customs territory
Boomer .. I suspect you are right and the Tories will win GE with a small majority.. but the problem for Boris is the Brexit party whom I suspect some on here will vote for ... he may have to get in bed with them next which may put some moderate Tory voters off ... like I said before over 5 million Tory voters voted remain ... it’s a tricky balancing act for all parties ... I suspect if there was a more centrist moderate labour leader then Boris may have been gone by now in a vote of no confidence... it doesn’t matter what walk of life you are in if you have power it can distort reality ... if Corbyn wanted to act in the National interest he would have stood down along time ago ... the country thinks he’s a cûñ* I suspect he is being held there by McCluskey ... still like I say only smarties have the answer ... taking my 55 yr old legs for a run now .. it makes the Friday night beer taste a little better
The thing is pat if labour reject it they face wipe out at the polls. I suspect they will noisily rail against any labour traitors whilst quietly thanking them. Of course they could circle the wagons and vote against.
LTI your right but 95% of it is and the only bit that has changed .. the border in the Irish Sea is something that Boris and TM said would be unacceptable for any UK PM .. the ERG prob want to support DUP and that is probably ultimately worse for DUP than the backstop
P
''after there vehement words on TM deal ''
The BJ WA is not the TM WA
I just can’t see him getting enough labour MPs .. ERG are meeting in the morning.. some off them are wavering the real hard line ones .. wouldn’t be surprised if 1 or 2 of them didn’t vote for it .. Patterson/Francois ... they will be ridiculed for months after there vehement words on TM deal and also their backing of the DUP
They both look good punts to me pat. I'm taking that 2/1 on the margin all day long.
It’s 2/1 to either pass or fail with a margin less than 10 ..... 22/1 is the one worth having a punt on ....
Could be a good bet the arithmetic is incredibly tight. 22/1 seems incredibly generous odds on a vote which will only be won by a margin of 5 votes either way.
Evens for it to pass 5/6 to fail on sky bet .. I’ve just put £5 on at 22/1 to be dead heat with speaker making the final vote ... now that would be funny
BoomerBower
It looks like it could be won or lost by just 4 or 5 votes
Odds are 50/50 on the vote.
I'm not telling you if the vote will pass or not. I'm saying that's the price it will go to l if it does pass. If it fails this will fall to 50p. All investment decisions are you own like that big short on Barc you opened at 140. Good luck whatever you decide.
I am sure he and most of us will do whatever we can to keep JC from getting in power. We are in a position to forge a better economic future for us all. Should JC somehow manage to secure mandate we have no economic future and will be joining Cuba and Venezuela in the poor house. That said, immigrants will be getting back in their dinghies and heading for france.
