'' a right fû** up of it ''
The TM WA would have been, but the answer now is no.We now have a WA to put us on the path of what people voted for, although a slower path than a clean Brexit would have been.
Pat you can have a second referendum just after the 1st has been implemented.
LTI ... like I said just my opinion ... no need to get angry ... still I bet you have to admit to yourself that the Tories have made a right fû** up of it ... because I do ...
P
''had it been a cross party endeavour from the start ''
Reality check
The conservatives got voted into power to deliver the referendum as per their manifesto.
Their manifesto did not state that a Tory government would deliver Brexit with the aid of all other political parties.
'Momentum Labour' stated THEY would deliver the wishes of the people.
Do you really think that had 'Momentum Labour' got into power they would have been asking Tories for help?
Worrying thing now for Boris is that Labour now want to attach a custom Union onto his agreement something now that the DUP would like to keep everyone the same ..... Act in haste repent in leisure... My opinion is this would have been sorted many months ago had it been a cross party endeavour from the start and not just the Tory vanity project that it is now ...

How much of a difference do you think there should be with a 2 year negotiated WA within a few weeks?
No backstop
Free trade deals with less alignment with the EU
NI to remain in the UK customs territory
UK not aligned with single market rules
NI majority voting to keep or remove arrangement
I would rather a clean Brexit though
Oliver Letdown amendment.
It was inevitable that another whitworht was thrown in the works.
LTI .. you and I haven’t read Boris’s agreement so let’s just take it that when everybody in media and Mr Farage says it’s 95% the same then that’s what it is
Sp Retrace 2mrr if anything. Nothing ever Matters anymore.
Let win the useful idiot.

''So Boris brings back virtually the same with a few differences ''
so not the same.
No need to list the differences but of course the main one is NO BACKSTOP which means we do not stay in the EU for as long as the EU dictates.
Oxo ... Euros bought at 1.13 at exchange rate ... Maybe you should look at the referendum and think of it of why you vote labour or conservatives etc or Brexit party in the next election ... you do it because they make promises in their manifesto... then when they get in power they don’t keep them so after 5 years and things have changed we vote again ... We had a referendum and leave vote won .. 3.5 years later no one has been able to implement it because when the policy is scrutinised.... TM did at least give Parliament 3 goes to scrutinise her deal and her own party and allies scuppered it .. yes opposition parties voted against it but it was her own party and allies who scuppered it ... So Boris brings back virtually the same with a few differences he’s trying to bounce it through without scrutiny so the opposition want to see the details ... that is democracy working at its best .... This could go beyond 4 years now because amendments are going to be attached to his deal so a second referendum maybe one of those ... after 4 years things change so the vote may be for remain ... this won’t be the first or last time politicians make false promises ... Boris has already said 40 hospitals ready to be built only to say well it’s actually 6 ... they all lie no matter what party ... Not implementing Brexit yet is a sign of a strong democracy not a weak one

''some on here are fanatics and could not accept a second referendum... ''
fanatics?
You would not have had leave supporters posting on here for years moaning about a lost 2016 referendum.
Having a 2nd referendum before the democratic vote of the first one has been implemented is a different kettle of fish.
Once again, once implemented and subsequently a government got voted into power enabling joining the EU you would not get people on here moaning about democracy.
I hope you now have full understanding.
OXO,I always like your rants.Do you ever get it right?
As for PAT 2014, have a good holiday and enjoy, this mess will still be here when you return.
22 years ago i voted against welsh devolution i was on losing side 49.7%against 50.3there was no uproar or marches against such a slender majority but times have changed now minorities dont accept democracy they have to be right the winners are all types of ISTS
im no fanatic at all pat, unlike your good self. i just want my vote to count democratically as it should have done in the first vote and be honoured, as do many many more people than the fanatics that dont accept the same vote and result to name calling like you. You have clearly defeated your own argument and need to open your eyes to the trees.
Pat, I would accept a second referendum once the first one has been honoured, that is how democracy works, not a load of brats throwing tantrums like the remoaners.
Slean/DTN ... and that is the exact point I’m making ... some on here are fanatics and could not accept a second referendum... Thank you for proving my point ... it wasn’t about democracy this that and everything else .. it was about some people’s views on this bulletin board being fanatical and having a clouded judgement rather than an open one
i think in the circumstances that you outline, namely that the result of any further referedum was opposite to the last one, the losing leavers would respect that result exactly the same as the current losing remainers did the last one. Best of three the next 'democratic' choice is it? What a load of horse poo
Pat, I have said on here several times that if the vote had been remain I would have accepted it and got on with life, there must be something mentally wrong with remainers that they can't let go and respect democracy, they remind me of spoilt brats.
Wasn’t saying he was a fanatic... pointing out that some on here are quite fanatical about leaving ... it clouds your outlook on what could and couldn’t happen ... I can quite happily say I voted to remain but happy to leave with a deal ... you and many others on here would not be able to say I voted leave and if we had a second referendum and remain won I would respect that ... that’s the difference between you and me ... maybe calling you fanatics was the wrong word .. I will find my Thesaurus.. however off to Waitrose then pawnbrokers to get my Euros before the price drop on Monday morning....
Pat you are a realist so is Oxo though. Think it's unfair to describe him as a fanatic. Your points are fair enough and give a remain perspective here. Ultimately what we write here affects bugger all.
Oxo ...I’m definitely not Jayfax ..... just posting a little reality onto The Brexit Party bulletin board ... Infact Farage himself has been on Sky this morning and said that in the last election UKIP helped the Labour Party ... again he asked that Boris should get in bed with him has they then would have a big majority... That’s the thing I was just pointing out ... nothing controversial... And OXO I do also think he may get his deal through next week ... like I say just a realist rather than a fanatic
The EU (french) are perfectly aware this is the best deal they'll get off us. Dealing with Johnson post election would be far harder for them.
