I have around 7500, I bought some at 73p but picked more lower so have an average price of 39p. it might be time to cut my losses now and move to more exciting things
35p in total but 30.5 in my topped to the max isa caaaa ching
32.8
Bought some a while back, then more on dips.
Only have 14255 LLOY at an average of 42.38p and sitting on a paper loss of £1022.
LLOY was really good to me a decade or so ago, but at present I just cant bring myself to buy any more.
Diversified portfoli haha my portfolio if you want
50% of my portfolio is in costain !!!! 122k shares
20% vanguard s& p 500 etf
15% ishares global clean energy ETF
10 % RR
5% Lloyds
And 50 quid in Galliford
Haha
Good to hear some honesty on this forum Pantherax, instead of the usual BS where everyone is a financial whizz kid.
I posted earlier in the year that I was £103k down on all my investments but I have recouped that and a bit more, helped by the fact that I wasn't fully invested at that time.
There have been some fantastic opportunities this year and I believe there's more to come.
Interesting that you mention GLEN as it's a good trading share as there is no SDRT so you're 0.5% ahead as soon as you buy.
@falkland
I bought in at 27.9 and thought it was a great opportunity Long term I'm up 26.3 % already
I couldn't be more happier with how it's going here and honestly thought it would take to the new year to reach 30 I'm under no illusions that the share like costain RR all responded to the news of a vaccine rather than their own merits even looking forward when they announce the dividend.
@triplepig
I do apologise but that is how I read it.
I think there are hundreds of better shares than Lloyds with them losses you could sale and buy into something else. if I was in that position and didn't need the money I would just put the shares in the bottom draw and return in a couple of years as you said it's only paper losses at present but to Sell would be a reality.
@TRIPLEPIG
What the hell sell and than buy back !
Surely if you sold and bought back you would get the equivalent worth of shares example
Sold 100 shares that were once 58 now 35 = 100 (£35) than straight on
Bought 100 shares that are 35 that were once (£58) =but now (£35) haha plus the stamp duty !!!!
Ffs glad your not my financial adviser!!!!!
"Mind your own business"
Of course this is exactly why we visit internet forums, isn't it?
@Brassgemini - I wouldn't know over bought signals if it hit me in the face haha.
Over time I've made some smaller trades within my portfolio on Lloyds where I've been in and out. Last week I sold about £15k on a tranche where I was in profit and split that across BP and Glencore reducing my averages there (both of which I also have a paper loss).
What I posted below is just my current position.
Thanks Triflepig - no offence taken. I have done a few trades with portions of my holding to do just that. I do think we'll see some sort of dividend restored in 2021 even if it is nominal. The banks are more cash rich now with their Core 1 ratio's than they've ever been.
I know some would disagree but I would also like to see a combination of share buybacks to reduce the amount of shares in circulation and at todays prices it would make a significant difference to the long term future of the share in my opinion.
Mind your own business
Trifle - possibly some of the worst financial advice I’ve seen on this board ......”over bought signals” .......lmao
I currently have 489,203 shares with an average price of 58.08p. I'm £109,000 down on paper on this share. I have no plans to sell before 2033 - only to add with future dividends from Lloyd's and other investments I have in order to bring down my average and to further build my holding.
BJones1, and what do you think you will learn from that information , absolutely zilch, , this is a forum where no one is real and all information read should be treated with caution!
Not really no, its like asking someone what their average price is??
That’s like asking a fat woman how much she weighs! Lol
and what price are you waiting for to sell, im at 0.31p
