Don't think the market is overbought, if anything, it's the opposite. All of my present portfolio is showing very acceptable yields with just one little exception: I decided to go into a promising AIM stock a few months ago which has so far brought me a return of just over 50 % and another 3% today. Sorry no I ain't saying, you'll have to find yer own.
Are, you have learnt something from Greta.
Bumblebee that's brilliant I will change it. Inspired stuff.
Boomer, can I suggest you change your name to Boomer Blowhard, it really would be more appropriate.
Your ad hominen is boring. You said how did I assess the threat. I used numbers, don't get shirty with me because you just the Guardian front page to tell you what to think. I suppose using logic and evidence is annoying to someone utterly irrational. If you have better evidence or something which contradicts those numbers please tell me.
Who said anything hysterical? Unlike you I have made NO predictions. Your assumption I am afraid. Until we have had a lot more cases that run their full course we will not be able to make the sort of rash assumption you made n death rates. You might be right, you might be wrong. Guesswork.
Bumblebee I only look intelligent next to you because you are an idiot. I'm very average intellect.
Take the 80 fatalities. Well there are 3000 confirmed severe cases. Even if we make the heroic assumption there are no unconfirmed cases that's a 3% mortality rate. Now highly probable many less severe cases are not diagnosed. If we compare to ordinary flu there are 3 to 5 million severe cases a year with a mortality of half a million. Even a basic glance at the numbers tells you Corona isn't even as severe as flu. Don't let numbers and logic deter your infantile hysteria bumblebee. You live in your scared bubble sure it makes you happy. Keep that brain unused.
You do like to cloak your posts with the impression of intelligence. But you are predicting the outcome of any infection before we know what the actual death rate will be, which is very clever. Equally daft you confuse it with flu. It is not flu, it just attacks the same organ.
I have made no predictions, as am just fascinated that you have.
And using the term full potential to describe a virus is an insight in to your brain. Sad.
Bumblebee you are one foreseeing Armageddon not me, the one full of bs is you. We have very good data on flu already or don't you know that? Are you really claiming that Corona has the potential to be more harmful than the 10/11 winter? If you are I don't think you can count.
For those who are not minded to panic because there a slightly new 'flu in China, now is an opportunity to buy some stuff cheap and make a few bob. I almost suspect that there are powerful and rich people manipulating the media in order to create the panic which results in a lot of folk selling off perfectly good investments. I have seen it happen time and again in my now quite long life as a finance man.
I am just fascinated by your ability to read the future. We know the figures for cold weather deaths. We don’t know the full impact of Corona yet. You think you know it all, perhaps it comes from some mystical power to see the future. Or is it bs.
Bumblebee are you the moron who sits reading the paper imagining the world is ending? Your ignorance about the impact of cold winters on death rates is utterly unsurprising.
How do we know that when the virus probably has not reached its full potential? Or are you making that up boom boom?
Correct stage the Corona virus is less deadly than a cold snap in the UK. But facts and MSM aren't in any way related.
Corvidae, Global Emergency ! i think not, twice as many people have died so far this year in Cumbria from flu related illnesses than Coronavirus. Markets was ready for a drop, Coronavirus presents a purfect excuse for the fall in share prices today.
