No Minni, Its those who worked for forty years paying into a corrupt bloated franco / German controlled gravy train and never had a say. By voting leave the young workers of today will be spared that indignity. The apocalypse did not happen much to you're and other remoaners dismay. UK high employment,,, Now how can that be?
PS I am not a pensioner and look forward to a free, prosperous, trading, working UK . Free of EU shackles.

Falky
Talking fantasy porkies on Prem Bonds. Thick as 5hit .
Bertram, he can't clear off to the EU, Minnie technically doesn't live a country, just an offshoot of Spain, which is not in Europe, geographically part of Africa and has favourable rules to the 'mother' country.
Which makes him/her the perfect moaning mini.
Minnithemouse, this may come as a shock but it is you who is the intolerable fool on this BB. If you don`t like comments here then clear off, preferably to the EU.
Falky,
Wall Street markets closed today for Independence Day holiday.
If the title read UK banks’ profits surge past Italian rivals for first time since before Brexit vote then you know you're in trouble.
"Keep your eyes on the Dow....." Independence day!
88 - The vote to leave the EU was many years ago. I guess you voted to leave. You won. Well done! Please, move on and stop going on about it. Being outside the EU has consequences that need to be taken into account when investing. Whether it's right or wrong for us to be in or out does not need to be taken into account when investing.
A lot of exposure to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, at the moment French banks are carrying many downside risks brought on by fast changing economic sanctions against Russia and possible future defaults on loans from Ukraine.
Keep your eyes on the Dow.....
Ah but will we see 0.50 by Friday :-) .
Encouraging news ..and more evidence there was no financial meltdown after brexit as predicted by the remainers......unfortunately lots of remoaners will never accept brexit although it was a democratic process......there are challenges coming to all major economies the vast majority are not caused by brexit......gla.
Negative interest rates in the Eurozone can't be helping their profits lol. Thankfully we never got roped into that malarkey by joining the euro......
The UK’s largest lenders posted pre-tax profits of $55.1bn (£45.6bn) last year, slightly higher than the $54.8bn (£45.3bn) registered by French banks, according to The Banker’s annual top 1,000 world bank ranking.
This is the first time since 2015 that UK banks have beaten their French competitors.
Most of Britain’s high street lenders came in the top 100. Barclays finished 24th, Lloyds came 42nd and NatWest ranked 53rd.
Lloyds registered the largest surge in profits of all the UK banks, raking in a near six fold increase.
