Plato, you are absolutely hilarious I was choking with laughter with this comment -
“ Recycling is a big problem. They expect you to separate plastics and paper. Yet a lot of plastic bottles or packets have paper labels glued on them.
You can't just stick the adhesive and paper in the same vat in which the plastic is melted down in.
Yet, you can't waste people's time having them scraping the paper labels off plastic bottles and packets. So what do you do? Food still needs to be labelled with ingredients and cooking instructions”
That has made my day.
Plato.
You are correct on the establishment, it is nothing more than a self-serving den of thieves.
And this country's establishment is headed by the Royal dysfunctional family.
The establishment has always had one aim to protect its members, who in the real world would not last a week.
That is why they love their public schools, it keeps the less wealthy but just as intelligent competition at bay, the top universities where daddies' money, not your intellect got you a place. The landed gentry despised the self-made men who gradually accrued more wealth than they had during the industrial revolution, they exposed their ignorance in money matters. The only way the old Etons could get their hands on money was through marriage as even Churchill's father did. In a sport so as not to be exposed, as some less than supper class, they created the A.A.A. only ameatures, ie those who did not get paid for competing could compete at the top level, even in cricket you had the Gentlemen Players and the professionals and the professionals could not share the same dressing rooms as the gentlemen! Up until the Battle of France in 1940, only graduates were deemed intelligent enough to pilot an aircraft, then they allowed the lower class to become pilots but they remained serjeants, not officers. Even the political parties were led by old Cambridge and Oxbridge dummies, as we now see in Johnson. And not us forget the Civil Service made up of the failures who could not do anything else to earn a living.
the ?? replaced a black horse symbol on posting
Pity the investment isn't being made nearer the 2 year lows, but nevertheless it is still on track to deliver a cancellation of 4.5 Billion shares.
Maybe the ?? can offer an even better investment level for the rest of this years spend if the markets get a bit more jittery.
Nope, I'm in my mid 50s and have seen how destructive Labour governments have been over a long period of time. On each occasion, the Tories have been a left a large financial mess to clear up. It doesn't take a year to sort out, it takes much much longer.
Labour has always been "jobs for the boys ." Easy money in the public sector for doing very little and going home on the bell. My brother-in-law works in the public sector. We're still trying to work out what he does for a living, working from home answering e mails about arranging meetings on £50k a year with a nice pension. He wouldn't last 5 mins in a private sector job.
Boris, having won a decisive majority, delivered Brexit (admittedly fudging the NI issue and kicking it down the road) before having to face a novel global pandemic followed by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. All in the space of 2 1/2 years. Partygate was wrong and has been very damaging but if anyone on here thinks a Jeremy Corbyn government would have the country in a better place now is just plain naive.

sugars extracted from the malt barley by the mashing process is converted to alcohol in the fermentation process. Yeast is a living organism that converts sugars to alcohol/
''More than water !''

Water obviously is the most abundant ingredient making up the vast majority of the finished product.
More than water !
B
''The higher the alcohol content of beer the lower the sugar content , so 4% alcohol will have twice the sugar content as 8% .''
There is very little sugar in beer

Theo,
Sorry, I didn't click on the link!
Bound to be a quiet day today (until P wakes up) so a bit of consumer spending advice is never a bad thing!
